Ashley & Josh – Wedding Reception at McDavid Studio in Bass HallFort Worth, Texas

Well, these two started their relationship on the dance floor at a wedding.  Now they have officially danced the night away at their own wedding!  It was a fun filled night at Mc David Studio inside Bass Hall with DJ Nate Nelson from LeForce keeping the party going!  The ballroom was gorgeous with classic white and golds and mercury glass.  There were small touches of Navy that added a darker element and the light and airy feel of the hall was perfect.  Everyone had an amazing time!

Ashley & Josh – Wedding Ceremony at Holly Redeemer Catholic ChurchAledo, Texas

Ashley & Josh’s wedding ceremony was precious!  These two were married at their family church in Aledo where they live.  During the ceremony I loved all the stolen little glances, smiles and moments – like when Ashley asked the priest if he was going to have them kiss.  He had almost forgotten!  During the ceremony their flower girl tried to steal the show but she could not outdo how gorgeous Ashley looked!

Thanks again to the vendor team:

Ashley & Josh – Wedding First Look & Prep at Omni HotelFort Worth, Texas

Ashley & Josh are married and it was an amazingly perfect day!  What I love is that these two met at a wedding!  So I guess it was in the cards from day 1!  Here is their beginning story:

“Josh and I met 1 year ago at my cousin’s wedding. Josh met my cousins andmy brother at A&M. As I was sitting in church, I got a text from my brother (an usher) saying, “I want you to date the guy to your left). Obviously, I looked and it made things really awkward because he totally saw me checking him out. At the reception, everyone had caught on to the master plan. I would walk by and someone would yell…”There she is! Go talk to her!” or “Josh, come here, we have someone that wants to meet you!” (Neither of us had agreed to any of this) My brother decided to tell Josh that I wanted to dance and vise versa. So me being shy, I begged for him to say I couldn’t dance. So we danced a few songs and the rest was history!” – Ashley

Isn’t that the best?  My best moment from their day is the one above!  During the first look Ashley brought her had up to Josh’s face and realized he hadn’t shaved!  Their was some definite confusion on his expected grooming but they laughed it off and I think he looked dashing and so like himself!

Allison & Michael – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

The Ashton Depot looked STUNNING for Allison & Michael’s wedding reception.  Allison wanted her decor to be romantic and soft and garden like even though indoors and Tami Winn delivered with custom built table halo’s and so much more.  The Ashton Depot is always a favorite place of mine to photograph because I feel like my weddings there always look different! The space allows for so much customization and the building itself is gorgeous!

During cocktail hours and dinner the Dallas String Quartet entertained guests and the bubbly bar made sure no one was lacking a beverage.  After enjoying dinner the couple kicked off their night with toasts, cake and dancing!  Glenn Roush with LeForce Entertainment kept the dance floor fun and full as everyone celebrated Allison & Michael’s wedding.  These two were never far apart and spent the evening visiting with friends between dances.  Before the night ended we snuck out for a few  night time portraits with the downtown lights as a backdrop.  It’s so fun to get some night portraits!  Allison & Michael had a fun vintage car for their exit and we snagged some photos with it as well!

Congrats Allison & Michael!  Thank you for inviting me into your love story.  I sincerely wish we could do it all again – it was just that much fun!  I can’t wait to see the strong marriage you will walk in, the family you will build and the adventures you will go on.  Life is just beginning!

This couple had one amazing team of wedding vendors to make this day happen. Thanks to all of them!

Allison & Michael – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr ChapelTCU Campus, Fort Worth

Allison and Michael are married!  After 3 years of dating Michael asked Allison to marry him and now they are husband and wife starting their happily ever after with a fabulous European honeymoon (I was following every step of their trip this month and just so excited for them!). I love that travel is a part of their lives and Michael even proposed on a trip!  Here is their will you marry me story:

“We had been dating for almost 3 years before Michael got down on one knee. Michael proposed to me on 8/10/2016 on a family trip to Aspen. He planned a lovely picnic in evening with my family in music park with wine, crackers, and cheese. I was completely off guard when he surprised me with him down one knee. We will have been engaged for one year and ten months (on our wedding day)” – Allison

Michael has one of my favorite smiles ever.  Yep, ever.  When he sees Allison that smile just takes over and the joy Michael has is contagious!  When she walked down the aisle on her Daddy’s arm he looked so fully happy!  I said in my first post that Allison picked a man of character, like her Daddy.  There is no more proof than if you scroll down and check out the photos of her Daddy right before he gives her away and Michael right after he accepts his bride.  They both are looking at Allison with so much admiration, it’s undeniable that she is loved by both of them.

Thank you to everyone for pouring into this day!  This Fort Worth Wedding was amazing!

Allison & Michael – Wedding PreparationsFort Worth, Texas

This wedding was a long awaited one.  When I met Allison and her parents I knew this day was going to be special and it did not disappoint.  Allison and Michael are adorable together, the way he cares for her, protects her and lights up when he is near her is inspiring.  They are SO good together.  At the end of the night I told Allison’s Mom that her own husband is a good man and that her daughter chose wisely because I see in Michael the same genuine kindness her Dad walks in.

Allison and Michael met on a blind date but I LOVE the way Allison tells of her first meeting with “Matt”. 🙂

“For New Year’s Eve of 2014, we were set up on a blind date by friends. The party took place in Dallas. It was a wonderful evening of enjoying the company of old friends and getting to know new ones. We really seemed to take a liking to each other, and agreed to exchange numbers. I (Allison) really felt confident that Michael’s name was “Matt.” Proudly, I entered the name “Matt” into my phone and handed it to Michael to fill in the rest of the information. I quickly learned Michael’s real name. However, this didn’t discourage Michael from pursuing the relationship, and we continued to celebrate the New Years by laughing it off. After New Years, we decided to keep in touch through texts, phone calls, and Skype. Eventually, our long distance relationship became a love story. The rest of the story is history and we are very excited to begin a new journey through life together. To this day, I still have Michael in my phone as “Matt McCall” in remembrance of the first time we met.” – Allison

For getting ready Allison choose to prep in her childhood home with her closest friends.  It was so sweet to have her dress in her gown in the room that was her sanctuary then descend the winding steps to the cheers of her bridesmaids!  After a teary and joy filled reveal with Dad everyone gathered around and her Mother prayed over Allison and the wedding and marriage that was about to begin.  Chills, smiles and some misty eyes were definitely happening behind my camera!

Thanks to all my wedding vendor friends for making this emotional day even better!

Lauren & Richard – Wedding Reception at Rivercrest Country ClubFort Worth, Texas

Lauren and Richard have huge hearts!  Not just for each other but their friends, family and community!  I love that this couple spends there free time with friends but also being active in their community.  From volunteering with Make a Wish and the Union Gospel Mission these two care about people and that makes them even more special as a couple.  You can see that they get a huge return on how they love by the love given to them.  At their reception there was not doubt that everyone in their lives was excited to celebrate them!  They had friends travel in from all over the US and abroad to party with us!

Their roots are deep in community and it’s no surprise because these two have known one another since high school!  They began as good friends then best friends before it grew into a beautiful romance.  Here is a little bit about there beginning!

“We officially met in freshman geometry class, but our story didn’t progress into a high school sweetheart-type of story. We did, however, become best friends. We went to prom together junior year of high school, but not with the intention as going as more than friends. In fact, if you told either one of us in high school that we’d be getting married one day, we probably would have told you that you were crazy.
We remained friends throughout college and post-grad, both graduating from different colleges in 2012 and moving back to Fort Worth shortly thereafter. We began hanging out almost instantaneously, again, just as friends.
In November 2013, one of my (Lauren’s) colleagues was celebrating her last day at work before moving to Portland, Oregon, and we decided to go to Billy Bob’s that night to see Cory Morrow play so she could check a concert off her Fort Worth-themed bucket list. Richard and one of our other friends ended up joining us and meeting that group of my friends for the first time. Jessica, the girl who was moving, was the one who pulled him aside and said she could tell he had feelings for me and encouraged him to tell me. He did, in fact, share those feelings that night, and even though my initial response was, “oh,” it didn’t take long for me to come around, and I’m so thankful I did. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Their weddings was one of my favorites this year because I had the rare chance to have 6 Tracy Autem Photography couples in one place.  Lauren and Richard have great friends and I have been so lucky to get to know all of them and their precious families.  Of course we had to grab a photo all together!  Check out toward the end of the post for a pic with all 13 of us!  Thanks Lauren & Richard for inviting me to be a part of your day, it was one fun night I will never forget!

Lauren & Richard – Wedding Ceremony at St. Patrick’s CathedralFort Worth, Texas

Lauren & Richard are a super special couple to me – they are the 6th among their friend group to tie the knot that I have been able to photograph!  It’s so fun to go on these journeys with my couples and to be reunited all together to celebrate another one of their friends getting married. These two have amazing friends, family and a love for each other that is beautiful to watch.  They selected Rivercrest Country Club in Fort Worth for their wedding reception because they spend allot of time there, live nearby and it is where Richard proposed!  It’s also where we chose to have their first look so that we could capture images on the golf course on their wedding day.  I loved that when we headed outside for their big reveal that there was so few people around, it was so private and perfect for them!  Here is their Rivercrest Country Club proposal story:

“One of our favorite things to do is take our dog, Echo, on walks, especially in places where he doesn’t have to be on a leash because he loves to chase tennis balls and squirrels. For that reason, and because the River Crest golf course is such a short distance away, we generally take him there on Mondays when the club is closed or when it’s getting dark and golfers are finished playing. This particular walk after work didn’t seem out-of-the-ordinary because the weather was nice, and it was a Monday. I think I had even asked Richard the day before if we could take Echo for a walk the next day.
He called me around 5 p.m. Monday to let me know he was leaving work and to come over when I was ready. That’s generally earlier than he usually leaves work, but work had been particularly stressful for him the few weeks prior, so when he phrased it as just being a long day and he needed to go home, I didn’t think anything of it. I was so not suspicious, in fact, that I took my time getting there and even tried helping him with laundry when I got there. After rushing me out the door because “Echo had been waiting for so long and was so excited,” I told him every detail about my day and didn’t let him get in any of the sweet words he had planned to say on the walk over. It even took me a few seconds to realize he was actually on his knee asking me to marry him, not just tying his shoe. It turns out that he was rushing me out the door because his mom had been hiding behind a tree in someone’s yard for about 30 or 40 minutes so she could capture photos of that moment.”

She said yes at the country club and then they celebrated their I do there!  It was perfect!  They said their I Do at St. Patricks Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth.  The church has a special place in their hearts, they attend there together and have grown spiritually as a couple there.  It is also their family church, Richard’s Grandfather attended there as a child and was an altar boy almost 90 years ago!

Thank you to everyone who made their wedding so special!

Stephanie & Connor – Wedding Reception at River Crest Country ClubFort Worth, Texas

One of the things that Stephanie & Connor were looking forward to most is a stop by his family home before the reception for some portraits of the two of them.  We made it happen and it was Oh so beautiful at sunset.  With those views in the middle of the city and a perfect evening we couldn’t pass it up!

After their time alone they headed to the party where the couple was excited to welcome their guests from Texas and beyond!  Fort Worth is now Stephanie’s home and sharing it with their family and friends was special!

These two have waited 7 years to say I do and I just love the story of their relationship:

“Connor and I met in freshman year at Harvard during the Fall. We were living in the same dormitory and introduced through a mutual friend. Connor was hosting a video game tournament and I tagged along with a few of my guy friends. From there, he asked for my phone number and after months of being friends we started dating in the Spring. We have dated for more than 7 years!” – Stephanie

So sweet, these two are just meant to be.  Stephanie gave a not to Connor’s love of things intellectual with a super fun Star Wars themed grooms cake complete with light sabers!  The decor for this wedding was breathtaking.  Bella Flora did a fabulous job with the floral halo’s over the head table and all of the rental furniture and decor.  It was a remarkable night with a ton of fun on the dance floor too as Emerald City kept the party rocking!

Thanks to every vendor who made this Fort Worth wedding amazing!

Stephanie & Connor – Wedding Ceremony at St. Patrick’s CathedralFort Worth, Texas

Stephanie & Connor are married after 7 years of dating and I could not be happier for them!  I had an amazing time with them and their friends and family for their wedding weekend.  Connor is a good guy who knows how to plan grand gestures.  He did a fabulous job and totally tricked Stephanie when he proposed by taking her to HIS favorite place in the world.  Here is their story in her words:

“For our 6 year anniversary, Connor said he wanted to plan a surprise trip. Other than giving him a weekend that worked well for me, I had no idea / input in what was to come. We flew to California and he brought me to Pelican Hill – a golf resort that I knew was one of his favorite places in the world. After he arrived, he said we already had a tee time booked and needed to get ready. While getting ready, he suddenly received a call from the resort (which he put on speaker) telling him that they had messed up our reservation and we would not be able to golf. Instead they offered to make it up to us with complimentary drinks by the beach. A Bentley picked us up and brought us to the beach, and while we were walking down the beach we suddenly came upon the scene Connor had planned all along. A violinist, a picnic blanket, roses, and it suddenly all became very obvious what was about to happen! After he proposed, my sister came out of her hiding spot and was there to celebrate with us the whole weekend!”

His sweetness continues as every time he looked at her on the wedding day he lit up.  Stephanie was stunning in her gown and just glowing!  I may have got a little tingle a few times over how pretty and emotional this day was.  It was the best!!!

Shout out to the wedding vendor team who made this Fort Worth celebration perfect!
