Navy and burgundy wedding invitation suite for a Fort Worth wedding

Claire & Jared’s Classic Fort Worth Wedding at The Crescent Hotel

Weddings

Some weddings are classic. Claire & Jared’s was classic with a couple of brilliant twists.

The morning started at The Crescent Hotel in Fort Worth, then we headed to Robert Carr Chapel on the TCU campus — and this is where they did something I loved. Claire & Jared wanted to see each other before the ceremony to knock out portraits, but they didn’t want to lose the magic of a reveal. So we made the first look feel like the ceremony itself. We set Claire at the end of the aisle — gown, veil & flowers, all of it — and let Jared walk to her. He was practically vibrating with excitement, and you could watch both of their nerves melt the second they embraced. Best of both worlds.

After the ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel, we headed back to The Crescent for dinner under the glass-ceiling atrium — moonlight pouring in, Claire’s dad raising a toast to the two of them, guests wined & dined on the Crescent’s food. Then everyone spilled into the ballroom for the kind of packed, all-night dance floor you hope for.

But my favorite part? The second reveal. Claire was changing into a fun cocktail dress for the reception — and Jared had no idea. Honestly, neither did Claire that I was scheming. I tucked Jared into the gallery hallway and told him we’d grab a few photos once Claire was back from the restroom. Instead, she came around the corner in the dress, ready to dance the night away — and his face was worth every second of the plotting. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a groom that thrilled.

Navy, burgundy & blush, a chapel steeped in history, a hotel that glows at night, and two people who clearly adore each other and their people. A magical night, start to finish.

Claire & Jared — thank you for letting me scheme a little, and for trusting me with all of it. What a night. Here’s to you two.
