Hayley & David – Wedding Reception at The White SparrowDallas, Texas

Hayley & David may have had a rainy wedding day but that didn’t stop the party or the gorgeous details and fun to be had!  The White Sparrow barn looked stunning with floral draping the staircase and lush greenery.  These two knew from the beginning that they wanted to emphasize the party – with every person on the dance floor, breaking it down, until last call.  They most certainly accomplished that!  The dance floor was so crowded the wedding planning team had to pull back the head table to make more room for all the fun!  Hayley brought an extra side of excitement to her Father daughter dance – they brought all the moves!  Check out the fun images below!

We believe in making the best in what we are given and this couple and their families embraced the day right along with us.  We did night portraits outside once the rain stopped, family photos on the floral cover stairs and went with the flow for a perfect wedding day.

Thanks Hayley and David for including us!  We had a blast thanks to the two of you and your community of loving people.  Super shout out of praise to all the vendors for their hard work!

Kaycee & Joseph – Wedding Reception at The Modern Art MuseumFort Worth, Texas

My time with Kaycee and Joseph has been truly special.  I love that they made their wedding days all about them!  The separated their wedding ceremony and reception onto different dates and the outcome was perfect!  You can see their wedding day at Bella Donna Chapel here but this post is all about the celebration of their marriage!  Kaycee & Joseph invited all their favorite people to The Modern Art Museum for a night of dancing, food and fun.  Kaycee wore her wedding gown for some romantic gallery images and their first dance as husband and wife before changing into a fun pink dress for her party!  They have truly blessed me and I can’t wait to see them in the future as I know their love for each other will only grow.  Love you guys!

Ashley & Josh – Wedding Reception at McDavid Studio in Bass HallFort Worth, Texas

Well, these two started their relationship on the dance floor at a wedding.  Now they have officially danced the night away at their own wedding!  It was a fun filled night at Mc David Studio inside Bass Hall with DJ Nate Nelson from LeForce keeping the party going!  The ballroom was gorgeous with classic white and golds and mercury glass.  There were small touches of Navy that added a darker element and the light and airy feel of the hall was perfect.  Everyone had an amazing time!

Ashley & Josh – Wedding First Look & Prep at Omni HotelFort Worth, Texas

Ashley & Josh are married and it was an amazingly perfect day!  What I love is that these two met at a wedding!  So I guess it was in the cards from day 1!  Here is their beginning story:

“Josh and I met 1 year ago at my cousin’s wedding. Josh met my cousins andmy brother at A&M. As I was sitting in church, I got a text from my brother (an usher) saying, “I want you to date the guy to your left). Obviously, I looked and it made things really awkward because he totally saw me checking him out. At the reception, everyone had caught on to the master plan. I would walk by and someone would yell…”There she is! Go talk to her!” or “Josh, come here, we have someone that wants to meet you!” (Neither of us had agreed to any of this) My brother decided to tell Josh that I wanted to dance and vise versa. So me being shy, I begged for him to say I couldn’t dance. So we danced a few songs and the rest was history!” – Ashley

Isn’t that the best?  My best moment from their day is the one above!  During the first look Ashley brought her had up to Josh’s face and realized he hadn’t shaved!  Their was some definite confusion on his expected grooming but they laughed it off and I think he looked dashing and so like himself!

Allison & Michael – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

The Ashton Depot looked STUNNING for Allison & Michael’s wedding reception.  Allison wanted her decor to be romantic and soft and garden like even though indoors and Tami Winn delivered with custom built table halo’s and so much more.  The Ashton Depot is always a favorite place of mine to photograph because I feel like my weddings there always look different! The space allows for so much customization and the building itself is gorgeous!

During cocktail hours and dinner the Dallas String Quartet entertained guests and the bubbly bar made sure no one was lacking a beverage.  After enjoying dinner the couple kicked off their night with toasts, cake and dancing!  Glenn Roush with LeForce Entertainment kept the dance floor fun and full as everyone celebrated Allison & Michael’s wedding.  These two were never far apart and spent the evening visiting with friends between dances.  Before the night ended we snuck out for a few  night time portraits with the downtown lights as a backdrop.  It’s so fun to get some night portraits!  Allison & Michael had a fun vintage car for their exit and we snagged some photos with it as well!

Congrats Allison & Michael!  Thank you for inviting me into your love story.  I sincerely wish we could do it all again – it was just that much fun!  I can’t wait to see the strong marriage you will walk in, the family you will build and the adventures you will go on.  Life is just beginning!

This couple had one amazing team of wedding vendors to make this day happen. Thanks to all of them!

Lauren & Richard – Wedding Reception at Rivercrest Country ClubFort Worth, Texas

Lauren and Richard have huge hearts!  Not just for each other but their friends, family and community!  I love that this couple spends there free time with friends but also being active in their community.  From volunteering with Make a Wish and the Union Gospel Mission these two care about people and that makes them even more special as a couple.  You can see that they get a huge return on how they love by the love given to them.  At their reception there was not doubt that everyone in their lives was excited to celebrate them!  They had friends travel in from all over the US and abroad to party with us!

Their roots are deep in community and it’s no surprise because these two have known one another since high school!  They began as good friends then best friends before it grew into a beautiful romance.  Here is a little bit about there beginning!

“We officially met in freshman geometry class, but our story didn’t progress into a high school sweetheart-type of story. We did, however, become best friends. We went to prom together junior year of high school, but not with the intention as going as more than friends. In fact, if you told either one of us in high school that we’d be getting married one day, we probably would have told you that you were crazy.
We remained friends throughout college and post-grad, both graduating from different colleges in 2012 and moving back to Fort Worth shortly thereafter. We began hanging out almost instantaneously, again, just as friends.
In November 2013, one of my (Lauren’s) colleagues was celebrating her last day at work before moving to Portland, Oregon, and we decided to go to Billy Bob’s that night to see Cory Morrow play so she could check a concert off her Fort Worth-themed bucket list. Richard and one of our other friends ended up joining us and meeting that group of my friends for the first time. Jessica, the girl who was moving, was the one who pulled him aside and said she could tell he had feelings for me and encouraged him to tell me. He did, in fact, share those feelings that night, and even though my initial response was, “oh,” it didn’t take long for me to come around, and I’m so thankful I did. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Their weddings was one of my favorites this year because I had the rare chance to have 6 Tracy Autem Photography couples in one place.  Lauren and Richard have great friends and I have been so lucky to get to know all of them and their precious families.  Of course we had to grab a photo all together!  Check out toward the end of the post for a pic with all 13 of us!  Thanks Lauren & Richard for inviting me to be a part of your day, it was one fun night I will never forget!

Stephanie & Connor – Wedding Reception at River Crest Country ClubFort Worth, Texas

One of the things that Stephanie & Connor were looking forward to most is a stop by his family home before the reception for some portraits of the two of them.  We made it happen and it was Oh so beautiful at sunset.  With those views in the middle of the city and a perfect evening we couldn’t pass it up!

After their time alone they headed to the party where the couple was excited to welcome their guests from Texas and beyond!  Fort Worth is now Stephanie’s home and sharing it with their family and friends was special!

These two have waited 7 years to say I do and I just love the story of their relationship:

“Connor and I met in freshman year at Harvard during the Fall. We were living in the same dormitory and introduced through a mutual friend. Connor was hosting a video game tournament and I tagged along with a few of my guy friends. From there, he asked for my phone number and after months of being friends we started dating in the Spring. We have dated for more than 7 years!” – Stephanie

So sweet, these two are just meant to be.  Stephanie gave a not to Connor’s love of things intellectual with a super fun Star Wars themed grooms cake complete with light sabers!  The decor for this wedding was breathtaking.  Bella Flora did a fabulous job with the floral halo’s over the head table and all of the rental furniture and decor.  It was a remarkable night with a ton of fun on the dance floor too as Emerald City kept the party rocking!

Thanks to every vendor who made this Fort Worth wedding amazing!

Ragan & Alex – Fort Worth Zoo Wedding Reception at The ReserveFort Worth, Texas

This reception may be why I was so excited to photograph Ragan & Alex’s wedding.  I knew I liked them the moment Ragan started talking about why they selected the Fort Worth Zoo for their reception location.  They took a gamble and booked a yet to be built pavilion in the new African Savanah exhibit that features giraffes, hippos and more!  The most special part?  In addition to a breathtaking view, unique animal experiences and delicious food you get to feed the giraffes!  The smiles on Ragan & Alex’s faces as they fed those giraffes was worth the wait!

After feeding giraffes these two hit the dance floor and kicked off a night of dancing, photo booth fun and beautiful details.  Ragan pulled together some very special details to complement her zoo wedding from a champagne bar with flamingo table numbers to the cutest little signs and animal crackers at the send off.  On the dance floor Ragan and Alex had a blast together, jumped on stage and enjoyed a private last dance before ridding off together amidst a flurry of bubbles.

This night was amazing, Thank you to every vendor who took such care to serve Ragan & Alex:

Callie & Ryan – Wedding Reception at The Modern Art MuseumFort Worth, Texas

Callie & Ryan’s wedding reception at The Modern was fun filled and gorgeous!  Hands down though the private last dance took the night for me!  We may have danced all night but when their guests went outside to prepare to send them off to the honeymoon these two took to the dance floor alone.  They just melted into each others arms, kisses, smiles and sweet tears of joy (see above) were the perfect end to a fabulous wedding day.  Congrats Callie & Ryan and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story.  I wish you the best Happily Ever After!

Christy & Mark – Wedding Reception at Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

Christy & Mark’s cobalt blue and white reception at The Ashton Depot was so fun!  It may have rained during cocktail hour but the sun cam out and gave them beautiful light until sunset in this airy space.  They have moved around so much with school and jobs that these two had a ton of out of town guests for their wedding.  I love how they incorporated little touches of Texas for their guests from welcome boxes to sugar cookies in Texas shapes at the place settings.  At the reception Christy’s dress really shined – her custom designed dress by a local Colleyville designer was unique and had a gorgeous custom cape!
