Cherrell & Alan – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, Texas

Cherrell and Alan had an elegant nighttime ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel.  The chapel is such a gorgeous venue that really transforms at night.  Their candlelit wedding was so sweet.  Alan has the most beautiful smile and when Cherrell walked the aisle with her Daddy his face lit up the room.  After the ceremony we played in the dark inside and outdoors to take advantage of the gorgeous architecture of the chapel.

Amy & Casey – Wedding Ceremony at Fort Worth Club

Amy & Casey had such a fabulous wedding day that was full of sweetness and fun.  I could do this day over and over – it was perfect!  We kicked off the day getting ready at a vacation rental and the girls were just laughing, toasting mimosa’s and having a blast – I just love this family!  At the Fort Worth Club both Casey and Amy did final preparations before signing their ketubah in a small ceremony where they chose not to see each other.  I love that they did this as it made the reveal as Amy entered the ceremony so special.  These two wrote their own vows and they totally had me laughing and tearing up.  Both of them referred to how they had grew into adults together.  These two make each other stronger, push each other to do new things, work hard and they really have “adulted” together.  Congrats you two!!!

Amy and her Mom Lisa were a joy to work with on wedding preparations and together with their planner they created an amazing wedding thanks to the following team:

Tran & Adam – Wedding Ceremony at Botanic GardensFort Worth, Texas

Tran and Adam said I do in a sweet garden ceremony in the Fuller Gardens at The Botanic Gardens of Fort Worth.  It could not have been more perfect with lovely warm light and some of the kindest and most beautifully written wedding vows I have ever heard.  The sweetest thing was Adam telling Tran her vows were better than his after the ceremony – these two really cheer each other on and have the most loving relationship.

Ashlea & Mark – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, Texas

After Ashlea & Mark had their first look we walked around downtown before heading to Marty Leonard Chapel.  For their ceremony they had sweet words of poetry, readings and a dance!  That’s right – a beautiful dance routine to honor their marriage was performed in the middle of the ceremony.  It was so emotional and meaningful as Ashlea is a dance therapist and these two are both very connected in movement through yoga and other activities.  I loved it!  After their vows we did some night time portraits before getting ready to PARTY!

Hayley & David – Wedding Ceremony at Prestonwood Baptist Church ChapelPlano, Texas

Planning for a wedding is fun and exciting but sometimes nature changes our plans.  Hayley and David were set to wed on a day that became rather rainy but because they had an expert planner at their side and awesome attitudes they moved their outside wedding indoors to the chapel at their home church – Prestonwood – and make a rainy day beautiful!  We met up with these two at The Statler in downtown Dallas to get ready for the wedding before their vows.

I asked these two what they were looking forward to most a few months ago about their wedding and their answer was perfect!  Why?  Because they knew this day was about more than plans – it was about them, their marriage and those they love.  This attitude is what made this day exceptional!  Here is what Hayley had to say:

“Celebrating more than just the bride and groom. Celebrating the support system we have around us. Really loving on those who have built the strong community around us and celebrating the great love David and I have found.” – Hayley

We truly saw the support system and strong community in Hayley & David’s lives – congrats guys on an amazing marriage!  Shout out to all the vendors for their flexibility and hard work to make this day gorgeous:

Kaycee & Joseph – Wedding Ceremony at Bella Donna ChapelMckinney, Texas

Kaycee & Joseph are married and this one was a tear jerker!  I loved this couple from the moment they walked into my studio.  God has definitely orchestrated their meeting, their marriage and this beautiful day!  Today I am sharing their ceremony at Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney, Texas.   These two picked a special date, their anniversary so it landed on a Wednesday but they will be celebrating their vows with all their friends and family at The Modern Art Museum in September and I can’t wait to share that day with them!

I asked Kaycee what she was most looking forward to about her wedding and I loved the sweet reply she gave:

“The fact that it’s an intimate wedding in a unique venue, and that the reception is separate will make it memorable. We try to be intentional about the things we do, and we believe we have created some potentially amazing scenes to capture our love, the union of our families, and to share that with those we value the most.”

Their ceremony was truly intimate and sweet.  One of my favorite things about Joe & Kaycee is how the love God first, then each other.  Their ceremony was truly an act of worship and I know that their hearts are centered in His will because of what Joe told Kaycee when he proposed:

“Joe’s proposal was to be grand – a trip to Paris or something on that scale. But every time he tried to plan it out, God stopped him. He made it clear that this marriage is not about us – it’s about His will and about giving glory to Christ who has saved both of us, and He told Joe that he was to propose under Christmas lights in a very simple way that offers the marriage back to God. On that magical night under white Christmas lights, Joe put two rings on Kaycee’s finger – his engagement ring, and also an eternity band that is offered to Christ. Joe told Kaycee that she first belongs to Christ, so He gets the first ring. Joe will then put his band on her finger next to it on the day we wed.”

If that doesn’t make you cry…. I’m crying now!

Kaycee & Joe – thanks so much for sharing your love with me and I can’t wait for the party!  Shout out to all the vendors who made the day so special:

Ashley & Josh – Wedding Ceremony at Holly Redeemer Catholic ChurchAledo, Texas

Ashley & Josh’s wedding ceremony was precious!  These two were married at their family church in Aledo where they live.  During the ceremony I loved all the stolen little glances, smiles and moments – like when Ashley asked the priest if he was going to have them kiss.  He had almost forgotten!  During the ceremony their flower girl tried to steal the show but she could not outdo how gorgeous Ashley looked!

Allison & Michael – Wedding Ceremony at Robert Carr ChapelTCU Campus, Fort Worth

Allison and Michael are married!  After 3 years of dating Michael asked Allison to marry him and now they are husband and wife starting their happily ever after with a fabulous European honeymoon (I was following every step of their trip this month and just so excited for them!). I love that travel is a part of their lives and Michael even proposed on a trip!  Here is their will you marry me story:

“We had been dating for almost 3 years before Michael got down on one knee. Michael proposed to me on 8/10/2016 on a family trip to Aspen. He planned a lovely picnic in evening with my family in music park with wine, crackers, and cheese. I was completely off guard when he surprised me with him down one knee. We will have been engaged for one year and ten months (on our wedding day)” – Allison

Michael has one of my favorite smiles ever.  Yep, ever.  When he sees Allison that smile just takes over and the joy Michael has is contagious!  When she walked down the aisle on her Daddy’s arm he looked so fully happy!  I said in my first post that Allison picked a man of character, like her Daddy.  There is no more proof than if you scroll down and check out the photos of her Daddy right before he gives her away and Michael right after he accepts his bride.  They both are looking at Allison with so much admiration, it’s undeniable that she is loved by both of them.

Thank you to everyone for pouring into this day!  This Fort Worth Wedding was amazing!

Lauren & Richard – Wedding Ceremony at St. Patrick’s CathedralFort Worth, Texas

Lauren & Richard are a super special couple to me – they are the 6th among their friend group to tie the knot that I have been able to photograph!  It’s so fun to go on these journeys with my couples and to be reunited all together to celebrate another one of their friends getting married. These two have amazing friends, family and a love for each other that is beautiful to watch.  They selected Rivercrest Country Club in Fort Worth for their wedding reception because they spend allot of time there, live nearby and it is where Richard proposed!  It’s also where we chose to have their first look so that we could capture images on the golf course on their wedding day.  I loved that when we headed outside for their big reveal that there was so few people around, it was so private and perfect for them!  Here is their Rivercrest Country Club proposal story:

“One of our favorite things to do is take our dog, Echo, on walks, especially in places where he doesn’t have to be on a leash because he loves to chase tennis balls and squirrels. For that reason, and because the River Crest golf course is such a short distance away, we generally take him there on Mondays when the club is closed or when it’s getting dark and golfers are finished playing. This particular walk after work didn’t seem out-of-the-ordinary because the weather was nice, and it was a Monday. I think I had even asked Richard the day before if we could take Echo for a walk the next day.
He called me around 5 p.m. Monday to let me know he was leaving work and to come over when I was ready. That’s generally earlier than he usually leaves work, but work had been particularly stressful for him the few weeks prior, so when he phrased it as just being a long day and he needed to go home, I didn’t think anything of it. I was so not suspicious, in fact, that I took my time getting there and even tried helping him with laundry when I got there. After rushing me out the door because “Echo had been waiting for so long and was so excited,” I told him every detail about my day and didn’t let him get in any of the sweet words he had planned to say on the walk over. It even took me a few seconds to realize he was actually on his knee asking me to marry him, not just tying his shoe. It turns out that he was rushing me out the door because his mom had been hiding behind a tree in someone’s yard for about 30 or 40 minutes so she could capture photos of that moment.”

She said yes at the country club and then they celebrated their I do there!  It was perfect!  They said their I Do at St. Patricks Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth.  The church has a special place in their hearts, they attend there together and have grown spiritually as a couple there.  It is also their family church, Richard’s Grandfather attended there as a child and was an altar boy almost 90 years ago!

Thank you to everyone who made their wedding so special!
