Sarah and Samuel are getting married next July at Robert Carr Chapel at TCU with their reception at The Colonial Country Club. These two met at college in Tyler then moved to TCU together to pursue their degree’s to prepare to be doctor’s. I love that they are so perfectly matched and I can completely see them working together in a hospital or office taking care of patients together all of there days. I admire couples that have the same passions in their professions and can work so well together. Can’t wait for their wedding next year!
Ruth and Andrew are getting married in about a month at a new venue right down the street from my studio, 809 Vickery. We hung out last week as I got to know Andrew and Ruth better and took some fun photos of them about town. Ruth’s only request was to go to the big silver man statue in down town and we were in luck as the park just re-opened this month after undergoing a major remodel. We played there and hit some of my favorite spots around Fort Worth. These two have amazing personalities and are awesome people. Andrew is a pastor of a local church, Deliverance Bible Church of Fort Worth and I just adore these two and their passion for the Lord. Can’t wait for their wedding in July, here are some photos from their Fort Worth engagement shoot.
Kendall and Jason are getting married later this winter at Robert Carr Chapel and City Club of Fort Worth. I was so excited to finally shoot their engagement session a few weeks ago as I got to know Jason and their fabulous cat, Cadbury. Pets often take part in sessions but it was a whole new experience with this “model” cat. Cadbury can be seen in Pier 1 ads on on several cat products. He is an expert in front of the camera and he did much better than most animals. Besides hanging out with Cadbury we visited the Kimball Art Museum, some of my favorite urban spots and TCU. My favorite part of any session is when the groom makes any statement of enjoyment because most guys don’t LOVE time in front of the camera. 30 minutes in to the session Jason let me know that it wasn’t bad like he expected and it was easy just hanging out and loving on his girl. Our shoots are not your boring old studio sessions and I am glad that Jason enjoyed it as I definitely did! Here are some photos from their Fort Worth Engagement Session!
Time flew by when I was hanging out with these two for their engagement shoot. I loved their goofy personalities and best of all how much Robert kisses on Veronica. When ever I start a session I give my couples a little info on how the shoot will go. For the most part my couples interact but I give little cues on when to kiss or where to look to make the photos magic happen but not with this couple. They just fell into it and played and every time I found myself about to say “give her a kiss” there he was planting one on her. Talk about chemistry! One of my favorite things to request of my couples is that they be dangerously close and they mastered it.
Engagement shoots have to be the best part of this job because it gets me SO excited about my couples wedding. By the end of this session I knew that this wedding will be an amazing one! It was so great getting to know you two this week and I can’t wait for your wedding in June. I also photographed Veronica’s bridals this week but can’t share so we can keep her dress secret. She designed it herself and had it made so it is super special.
Ashley and Matt were in town this week from Oklahoma for some wedding tasks so we got together in Grapevine for a vintage small town feel. We played on some trains and ended at Lake Grapevine. Matt was such a gentlemen and carried Ashley through some damp grass to get to the spots I wanted to shoot at so her heels wouldn’t sink into the ground. It was great fun seeing them both and I know their wedding in May at Maple Manor and City Club Dallas is going to be a blast.
These two won me over before the session started because they let me pick their location! Some of my couples have ideas about spots to shoot but others will tell me a feel they want and let me play. The best thing about that is I get to select a new place or some where I haven’t been to in awhile so that it feels fresh and exciting to me. Gotta love that!
At the beginning of the session Ryan was giving Lauren a hard time, with love of course, and at that moment he had me for sure. I adore couples who are playful with each other and comfortable and these two are for sure. I of course had to give Ryan a bit of a hard time too especially when he forgot to take off his first outfit when changing into his second. He put a second collared shirt on over his first and we just shot away until it was time for wardrobe change number two and there was his first polo again! I told him he failed the engagement session but I was lying because these two rocked it! We shot at one of my new favorite spots in Fort Worth that has a very country feel but is right down town. We also visited a few walls by the studio and the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
I hung out with Lauren on that dreary Saturday last week as well for her bridals but no peeking on those until the wedding. See you guys in May!
Krista and Marc and their two little ones (pups) and I had some fun in Dallas the other day for their engagement session. We headed out to the park for some dog friendly photos before checking out Marc’s work (a golf course) and down town Dallas.
Their dogs cracked me up, especially Putter. She was to cute with her rotund and short little body jumping over things and being a cutie. Marc was a great sport even though I think he would have rather been relaxing on his day off. Here are some images from their session.
