Summer in Texas is beautiful—but we all know it can also be hot. For Kinsley and Atticus, choosing a morning session gave us the best of both worlds: beautiful summer scenery and a much more comfortable experience.

We started their session at Shady Oaks Country Club before making our way to Roaring Springs Park. The quiet morning hours gave Kinsley and Atticus space to settle in, enjoy each other, and simply have fun in front of the camera.

That’s one of the biggest reasons I love recommending morning sessions during the height of a Fort Worth summer. Starting earlier means avoiding the strongest heat of the day, which makes it easier to relax, move, laugh, and stay present instead of wondering when you can get back to the air conditioning!

And when you feel comfortable? It shows.

Kinsley and Atticus were able to focus on each other while we created a collection of photographs that felt joyful, natural, and true to them. A little planning around the Texas weather made room for exactly the kind of experience I want every couple to have—easy, comfortable, and full of connection.
