Long before the first dance or the walk down the aisle, a wedding weekend begins with stories.

For Allison and Jonathan, those stories were shared over a beautiful dinner at Park City Club in Dallas, where family and friends gathered overlooking the city skyline to celebrate the couple before the big day. The evening was elegant and welcoming, with timeless white and blush florals, warm gold accents, and sweeping views that perfectly complemented both the club’s classic style and Allison’s sleek, sophisticated gown.

As beautiful as every detail was, the heart of the evening came when the toasts began.

One by one, the people who know Allison and Jonathan best shared memories, encouragement, and plenty of laughter. There were stories from lifelong friends, heartfelt words from family members, and moments that had the entire room alternating between happy tears and contagious smiles.

Perhaps the most memorable toast came from Jonathan’s grandparents, who were celebrating more than 70 years of marriage. Their gentle wisdom and thoughtful advice served as a beautiful reminder of what a wedding is truly celebrating—not just one joyful day, but the beginning of a lifetime built together. It was a moment that resonated with everyone in the room and one we’ll never forget.

One of our favorite parts of photographing rehearsal dinners is getting to know our couples through the people who love them most. The speeches reveal the stories that shaped them, the friendships they’ve built, and the family traditions they’ll carry into their own marriage. Those moments add depth to every photograph we create because we leave feeling like we know not only the couple, but the community that’s cheering them on.

A rehearsal dinner may mark the beginning of a wedding weekend, but it’s also the beginning of your legacy together.
