Darby & Justin – Fort Worth Engagement SessionBotanic Gardens & Trinity Trails

So excited that I got to photograph Darby & Justin’s engagement session!  I was part of their proposal story back in January and I am pumped to be photographing their wedding at Justin’s family ranch next May!  These two have been dating almost 4 years, they met in College Station while attending A&M.  Now these two are moving to Houston and putting down roots there while planning a wedding.  These two love to spend time outdoors, with their pup of course, and going on trips together.  Can not wait for their wedding next year!

Summer & Landon – Engagement Session at Botanic GardensFort Worth, Texas

Summer &  Landon met while working at the same school and they instantly hit it off.  I love how these two just melt into each other and the way that Landon looks at Summer.  They bring the heat!!!  Summer wore a gorgeous red dress for their session and Landon looked so dapper in his suit.  We spent their session at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth and this tree was my PLACE!  Oh my, like I could shoot an entire session with these puffy little cloud flowers.  I can’t wait for their wedding this summer at The Modern Art Musem with the Tami Winn team.

Sara & Brock – Engagement Session at Botanic Gardens & Art MuseumsFort Worth, Texas

Brock and Sara have known one another a long time, they met in high school youth group but never really hung out.  Later though as they both choose University of Texas at Austin for college they were reconnected at one of Brock’s fraternity parties.  He asked her to the Texas – Oklahoma game sophomore year and now they have been dating 7 years!  They were engaged on their 7th anniversary, here is their proposal story:

“It was our 7 year anniversary and Brock told me we were going to get drinks and then go to dinner. So we were all dressed up and we show up and what I discovered was an apartment complex, and he said we were getting drinks on the roof. When we get to the top, he had pictures of us throughout the years lined up on the railing, and an aisle of candles with a sign at the end that said Brock and Sara. We were on top of South Side lofts, so we had a perfect view of the Dallas skyline, and he hired a photographer to take pictures while he was talking. Once he proposed our families popped out from hiding behind the side of the building!”

Their wedding next year at the Omni in Dallas with Meredith Commender of Significant Events is going to be amazing and I can’t wait!  This weekend 1 year to the day before they say I Do my team will be photographing their engagement party!

Morgan and Todd – Engagement Portraits in Fort Worth7th Street Bridge & Japanese Gardens

Morgan & Todd are the cutest!  They literally JUST got engaged this last weekend we followed up the proposal in Dallas with a session 2 days later!  I can’t wait for their wedding later this year in Fort Worth so we used some of my favorite spots in Fort Worth for their engagement session like the Japanese Gardens, 7th street bridge and downtown near Sundance Square.

These two were brought together by mutual friends and have since started life with some big adventures.  Todd is in the military so Morgan has followed him to an out of state assignment and is ready to be a military wife.  I know their life will be full of fun and lots of love and laughter.  They started planning their wedding pre-engagement during Todd’s last deployment.  It’s hard to actually propose while living countries apart so when he returned he proposed.  It may not be the traditional order of things but as a Air Force brat myself I totally understand having to do everything on the governments time.  What is obvious is how happy they are together.  I had a great time getting to know Todd, talking video games, military life and his travels and finding out about the things they love to do together.  I am inspired to sign up for Hello Fresh after photographing these guys – sounds like they have lots of good meals and laughter at home together thanks to this meal service!

I will see you two in the Fall for the wedding!

Taylor & Tyler – Engagement Session at Botanic Gardens & Water GardensFort Worth, Texas

Taylor and Tyler are getting married in Fort Worth later this year and TCU’s Robert Carr Chapel and City Club of Fort Worth.  These two may have some Fort Worth roots but life has taken them to Dallas where they met through some mutual friends.  Taylor & Tyler spend time traveling and LOVE sports!  Tyler attended TCU, although originally from California and Taylor grew up in the Fort Worth area.  For their engagement session they wanted a little nature and Tyler requested the Fort Worth Water Gardens.  It may be winter but I love the textures and tree lines at the botanic gardens this time of year.  I am excited to spend their most special day with them in August!

Kyndall & Cole – Engagement Photos at Botanic Gardens at TCU CampusFort Worth, Texas Christian University

Tracy Autem 2015

Kyndall & Cole are getting married next summer at TCU!  Yep, ceremony at Robert Carr Chapel and the reception overlooking the stadium at the TCU Champion’s club!  Texas Christian University is a huge part of this couples story, it is where it began so it makes so much sense that they will be saying I do there too!  They met as freshman and were friends thorough out college.  Cole knows he was firmly place in the friend zone and he worked hard to get out of it and eventually Kyndall came around and fell hard for this sweet and loving man.  He is a little soft spoken but I think Kyndall’s bubbly and outgoing personality make them a perfect pairing.  So complimentary!  This past summer both of their families vacationed together in Hawaii where Cole proposed 0 so special!  I had so much fun hanging out with them and loved Kyndall’s deep purple lace dress and her adorable “game day” outfit for the football stadium.  So much fun!  Can’t wait for the wedding!  Rah Rah TCU!

Shelby & Whilden – Engagement Session in Trinity Park & Botanic GardensFort Worth, Texas

Tracy Autem 2015

Shelby and Whilden are getting married next spring here in Fort Worth and it is going to be such a beautiful reception at the Ashton Depot!  These two met in college at Texas Tech 3 years ago and their life has now brought them to Midland where they are working and living.  Leading up to the wedding here in Fort Worth where Shelby is from they are putting down roots in Midland – looking for a home and enjoying life with their 2 pups.  For their engagement session their doggies joined us for some photos at Trinity Park (thanks to Mom who dog wrangled!)  They were super cute and so sweet.  After some dog pics we headed to the Botanic Gardens and strolled around the Fuller Garden.  I loved Shelby’s blue bright dress, she has the most gorgeous smile.  Can’t wait for this wedding!

Emilee & Jeff – Engagement Portraits in Fort WorthJapanese Gardens & City Backdrops

Tracy Autem 2015

This session was so much fun!  Emilee and Jeff grew up together in a small Oklahoma city and were friends but never close.  As they grew up, moved away and the internet stepped in the reconnected online and as they did they quickly fell for each other.  Now these two are living in Arlington and planning a Fort Worth wedding in just a few months.  These two were a dream to photograph.  So lovable, cuddly and laughing the entire session.  Jeffery knows just how to wrap his arms around her and whisper sweet silliness into Emilee’s ear that make her light up.  Her eyes are gorgeous, and when you combine that with her killer smile it is a fab combination.  Jeff was awesome and helped pick out our downtown locations where we concentrated on a more city urban vibe before heading over to the Japanese Gardens.  As a lover and teacher or literature Emilee of course has a heart for the Lord of the Rings and she adores the garden for that ethereal vibe.  I am on the edge of my seat waiting for this wedding!

Leigh & Evan – Engagement Portraits at Botanical GardensFort Worth, Texas

Tracy Autem 2015

I have missed engagement sessions!  The summer is so hot that many couples put of portraits until fall temps hit.  Leigh and Evan though were brave and woke up early for a sunrise session with me at the Botanic Gardens of Fort Worth.  It was so worth the early time though for some scrumptious light and some less than 100 degree temps (not going to lie – it was still warm!!)  These two are just adorable.  They have been dating for 3.5 years and will be getting married next April.  I can’t wait!  These two are so sweet together, they have an ease to them that is just so simple and perfect.  I always enjoy watching my couples together as all have unique ways they interact.  Pretty much every time Evan wrapped his arms around Leigh she flashed that killer smile – she is so gorgeous and even more so happy snuggled up next to Evan.  Leigh & Evan are going to have a great wedding!

Laura – Bridal Portraits at Botanic Gardens of Fort Worth

Tracy Autem 2015

I am so ready for warm temperatures and sunny days with all this rain!  I am thinking back to this gorgeous girl’s bridal portraits last summer at The Botanic Gardens of Fort Worth.  I loved her fluffy fun gown by Stardust Celebrations.  The corset detailed  top was sexy yet elegant and was perfectly accented with a belt.  Laura’s look was pulled together by the Styling Stewardess and BA Beauty.  Look at that classic pale bouquet with subtle colors by Lush Couture!  Cheers to brighter days ahead!
