You just said I do, you have walked out amidst your family and friends cheering you on. As you step away I follow and capture your first authentic moments as a married couple. THIS is my favorite part of every wedding day. Why? Because it is one of the most unscripted parts of the day.

Every couple reacts differently. I’ve seen tears, embrace, laughter and even some high fives. No matter how you react this is your first real moment together – you did it – you are married! I ask the wedding party to hang back to give you these few minutes alone as I step back and use my long lens to give you privacy. It is such an honor to be part of a period of time that no one else gets to see.

For Reagan & Jonathan’s classic church wedding at Broadway Baptist in Fort Worth I directed them to the stairwell to enjoy this moment together. They melted into each other in serene, soft, happiness. A beautiful day filled with gorgeous flowers, dresses and people – but this moment stole my heart!
