Embracing Classic Bridal Style

Weddings

When it comes to your wedding day attire you can go in any direction that feels authentic to you. When you friends and family see you they should feel like your look compliments your normal style of dress.

We do see many brides lean into classic styling to create a timeless look that will outlast trends. Have you ever looked at a photo and immediately known it was not current due to the hair styling, makeup trends or jewelry? We have found that choices in those 3 areas can actually date your images more than the attire itself. Wedding dresses have changed over time, and always seem to revisit past trends, but classic styles always seem to be at the forefront of bridal style.

Reviewing our portfolio this week we have weddings from 8-10 years ago that feel current due to styling choices by the bride. Do you need to aim for classic or timeless? Nope, as I said you should dress in a way that you feel confident and beautiful. However, you should know what impact certain style choices may have on your images long term.

Sydney’s bridal portrait at Fort Worth Club was one of our favorite examples of timeless bridal style. Sophia Richie definitely brought back the sleek and elegant look and we think Sydney pulled it off perfectly! Also, can I say that we are not sad to see blusher veils making a comeback. Does anything say bride more than a veil?
