Brittany & Tommy – Engagement Photos at Willowood RanchBells, Texas

Brittany and Tommy are just adorable and we had a blast in almost Oklahoma for their engagement session at Willowood Ranch. Brittany is a California girl and she loved that this Texas ranch had some soft rolling hills that reminded her of home. It was hot but we had blast exploring the ranch and doing a little off-roading in my SUV to get to some perfect spots! I may have picked a few to many to share today but I don’t care – I couldn’t narrow it down any further! These two met at TCU their freshmen year and next year in March they will be husband and wife. Here is their proposal story:

“As my family lives in California, and his family is in Texas & Alabama we’ve always done Christmas apart to be with each of our families. This year was no different. Tommy dropped me off at the airport and I flew out to California a few days before Christmas. He was off to see his family for the holidays…or so I thought! The next day, while I was spending time with my sister last minute shopping for gifts, Tommy was taking an early flight out to California with an important carry on item. One airport fire, two hour security lines, and a missed layover later, he finally landed in Orange County where my brother in law secretly picked him up. Meanwhile my sister, my best friend and I met for lunch at a restaurant at the Montage Hotel overlooking Laguna Beach to catch up and enjoy the day off before the family functions began the following days. While we enjoyed some frose and lunch with a view catching up, Tommy and my brother in law were down on the beach setting up for the big surprise. After being told there was a free wine tasting for guests and patrons of the hotel down on the beach, we got up from our table and headed down towards the beach for free wine. As we approached the stairs to go down to the beach, I overlooked the cliff and saw a heart outlined in sand with dozens of rose petals and candles, and letters spelling out “Marry Me” and a man that looked just like Tommy. I looked back at my sister and best friend to ask in shock if that was Tommy, sure enough they were filming me on their phones and confirmed it was him and to ‘go get him!” Tommy brought me to the middle of the heart in the sand, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! The celebrations commenced with joy on a little blanket in the sand with champagne and the waves crashing into the sunset. A limo then picked us up and took us to dinner over Dana Point Harbor. I was truly surprised and beyond excited to spend forever together! He did SO well!”

Tommy is a great guy and I can not wait to hang out with them again!

THIS! This is why you get married in the Texas Hill country! So pretty! La Cantera Resort had some great spots for romantic portraits of Stephen & Jennifer. They were such good sports in going to my out of the way spots and I am pretty sure it was worth it. Their bridesmaids, groomsmen and attendants were so much fun and I loved all the silly props and cute things they brought to make the photos special to them.

Tiffany & Chip – Wedding Ceremony & Portraits at White Oaks Ranch

Grab your tissues! More beautiful emotion filled images today! Tiffany and Chip were married a few weeks ago at White Oaks Ranch in Pilot Point, Texas and it was a perfect day! Today I am excited to share their ceremony and portraits. These two carefully chose every detail of their day to reflect their faith, style, personality’s and the things that are near to their hearts. Tiff’s grandpa officiated their ceremony and it was such a special touch. Also joining the ceremony was one of their puppy dogs – he stood in as a great ring bearer!

Before Tiffany walked the aisle, Chip gave their little doggie a pat on the head and then looked out to greet his bride. Tiffany was escorted down the aisle by her Mom and brother and it was so sweet watching everyone embrace and hold hands to pray before giving the bride away. During the ceremony there were lots of smiles and a few happy tears and some perfectly funny and sincere vows. Sealed with a kiss and a ketubah signing these two were married and then it was time for portraits!

We had such a fabulous time sharing in this day with them and want to thank the other friendors who helped make their vision come to life.

Kayla & Neal- Engagement Portraits at Penn Farm

Kayla and Neal are getting hitched next year at The Orchard in Azle, Texas and I can’t wait! I first met these two back in February and finally got together with them last week for their engagement session. It seemed like it had been forever but before we know it will be wedding time! Kayla and Neal met at The University of Michigan and when Kayla came home to Texas he happily followed along. These two are perfect for each other and I so enjoy their company. Neal brings out a glow in her that just makes me smile – I know on the wedding day she will be absolutely radiant. To complement their ranch wedding we photographed their engagements at Cedar Hill State Park, Penn Farm – one of my very favorite places for its great light and vintage farm look.

Katie & Nicholas – Wedding Reception at the Fort Worth Omni Hotel Ballrooms

The ballroom at The Omni Hotel in Fort Worth was breathtaking and this photo above from the couples private last dance at the end of their evening shows off SO much of the beauty of their day. It highlights the amazing lighting and decor as well as their closeness, pretty darn cool! Once we arrived at the Omni the celebration was in full effect and Tami Winn and her team had set a backdrop that was flawless and elegant with winter whites and vibrant reds for this December wedding. Once the couple hit the room it was full of laughter and chatter and the dance floor stayed packed as everyone hit the floor to party! Bethany & Rob’s wedding was a day I will not likely forget. I become very bonded emotionally to my clients and I truly experienced every moment of their day with them. My eyes were full of tears and my face was plastered with a permanent smile, these two just do that to me. I am so lucky to do what I do and love every moment of it. Here is their wedding day:

Married!

So I completely fell apart in this tiny room with the newly married couple. As they rejoiced, hugged, showed off her gown and talked for the first time all day I was a soppy mess. It was so genuine and perfect and my favorite thing, Rob pulling Bethany close again and again because he just wanted to be close to his wife.

Eugenia & Michael – Engaged in Fort Worth!

Last Monday I spent the morning with this fantastic couple. Usually we do engagement sessions in the afternoon but Eugenia and Michael are planning their wedding under special circumstances and this was absolutely the ONLY time I could ever get them in to the studio. These two are both officers in the military currently stationed at Fort Hood. They have enlisted the help of wedding planner, Dayna Tooley, so that planning from afar would be easier for Eugenia. They came in town last weekend for another whirlwind planning weekend and met with me on Saturday, booked on Sunday then we shot engagement photos on Monday. They also nailed down their cake, DJ did a tasting at The Modern and a few other things. Michael is moving on to his next assignment, far from Texas, so these two will only see each other a few more times between now and their April wedding. I just adored them, their goofy sense of humors and how they love on one another. Here are some of my favorites and I can’t wait for the Fort Worth Wedding at The Modern next year!

Stacy and Brent were married in a sweet Sunday afternoon wedding at Marty Leonard Chapel on September 5th. Their day was full of amazing moments, romance and some very fun and bright details! After the ceremony these two gave me tons of time to play as we photographed the two of them at the chapel, the Kimball Art Museum and outside their reception venue, The Ashton Depot. I am often out west in San Angelo, Texas. It is my home town and most of my family still lives there. I love my San Angelo clients and it is always fun to shoot in some of the cool urban locations that the city offers. Peggy is a good friend of my Mom’s and I was excited to meet her 3 adorable grandchildren. She had all 3 of them in town for the weekend so she wanted to capture them together at these great ages. Macie & Camden are brother and sister and Hazel is their little cousin. These kids were all completely unique and we had a ton of fun playing together in the morning heat.
