The Ashton Depot is one of my fave places to photograph – beautiful architecture, a rich history and one of the best teams around! Their food is out of this world amazing! Shelby’s color pallete of soft whites and creams with touches of blue and soft peach and pinks was beautiful. Shelby and Whilden had a fun filled reception. Thanks to the following team who made the party such a success:
Tami Winn Events – Jamie Lemke – Planning
Sugar Bee Sweets
Roof Raisers Band
Sage Fine Florals
It’s Your Night Entertainment – Photo booth & Lighting
Colleen & Frank have been dating for 2 years. These two met and quickly fell in love. Their quirky and brainy personalities are such a perfect match and you can really see how they complete each other. The love to travel, their dogs and enjoy spending time together caring for their family and friends. Throughout their wedding day I could see the strong passion they have for others and placing people before themselves. They are kind and full of love for each other too. 🙂
For their wedding we started the day at Colleen’s childhood home in Lewisville before their wedding at St Phillip’s Catholic Church – where she attended as a child and teen. They exchanged gifts before the wedding and Frank’s awesome Dr. Who cufflinks were so fun and perfectly him! Frank gave Colleen a jewelry box (and some jewelry of course) but what caught me was his instructions and help so that she would know how to open the box just right. During the ceremony there were lots of smiles and laughs and it was all sealed with a kiss – poor Frank was left with a little reminder of that kiss but Colleen lovingly wiped the lipstick from his face before the were pronounced man and wife.
After the wedding ceremony we headed to the Fort Worth Stockyards for some fun romantic photos of the couple and bridesmaids and groomsmen. The rustic nature area (above) is so pretty and perfect for some images of the two alone before some more fun pics in the stockyards station. We got there right as the cows were walking the streets for their daily cattle drive and had to jump into the road for some pics with the historic signage.
At the Depot a beautiful and lush floral filled room awaited the couple for their party. The night was filled with great toasts, sweet dances, fun, laughter and some delicious bites! It was such a fun night and I was so happy to be with them. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your day and I am so excited for all the future holds for you.
Huge shout out to all the vendors that made Colleen & Frank’s day so amazing:
The Modern Art Museum of For tWorth is always a fave spot of mine – the venue has the most gorgeous architecture and being photographed in front of world class art is kind of amazing. With an exhibit taking up the downstairs of the museum Philip, the museum guru, took me to a few spots I don’t usually get to visit including this fun lit piece above that was made for a romantic silhouette shot!
The grand hall was stunning with the grey’s of the museum against the silver and plum purples of the reception design by Tami Winn Events. Lighting by It’s your night entertainment brought depth to the space. To really escalate the bar spaces Tami Winn brought in hedge walls and bar facades. So pretty!
Megan & Dylan entered the grand hall via the cat walk above their reception and welcomed guests before sitting down to dinner. After cake and some mingling we moved the party to the cafe where the oval custom dance floor became center stage. During the first dance Megan’s Daddy some how unplugged all the lighting systems but these two kept going and we kept photographing – it was definitely one of those funny moments that will forever be a wedding day story. Megan & Dylan partied, danced, tossed bouquets & garter’s and savored every moment of their wedding reception!
I could not make all the beautiful images without the help of a fabulous vendor team, thanks to these guys for making my job easy!

Lately I have had the chance to photograph more rehearsal dinners and they have been so fun. I loved this dinner at the Ashton Depot planned and designed by Tami Winn Events. The idea was to bring the feeling of an outdoor Spanish courtyard inside and I think they nailed it! Tami brought in the water feature, pergolas and so many other details to bring together a truly unique indoor design at the Ashton Depot. For some fun they also brought in a burro for the photo booth and it was amazing! All of the guests had so much fun posing for photos with the “beer burro.” The theme would not be complete without a 5 star menu that tied everything together and every course was perfect. The tortilla soup was scrumptious!
Allie & Kane were toasted by their family, bridal party attendants and friends and as the night went on one thing was a constant theme. God and His presence in their lives and relationship. It was truly an honor to hear all the sweet blessings, funny stories and love poured out on this couple on the eve of their wedding.
If you didn’t see their phenomenal wedding and reception at Broadway Baptist & River Crest Country Club hop on up to the search bar and type in their names for more gorgeous images!
Love these two! So sweet how they are together and this moment just made my heart happy. As Blake’s Dad gave words of welcome and congrats, Blake stole this little kiss. I think it is kind of fascinating how as women, when we are kissed so sweetly on the forehead or cheek often respond with this smiley squishy face. I know I do! I think that is why it pulls at my heart, it is just a genuine happy reaction to being loved on.
Blake an Shelby had quite the party with an amazing band, fabulous floral and design and lots of fun. The details were gorgeous so I included many of their beautiful things! Scroll on to see fabulous linens, cakes, floral and more.
Thank you to the wedding professionals that made Shelby & Blake’s wedding so perfect:
After their St. Patricks Cathedral wedding ceremony the sweetness continued on to the reception at City Club of Fort Worth. With some fun urban shots of the couple and their party before heading to the party – I had TOO much fun at this wedding. I wish I had an hour to run around town at every wedding, it has made me fall in love with my Catholic long day weddings and the ache in my feet the next day is so very worth it! Their night was filled with lots of squeezes, kisses, crinkled up noses and dancing! Before heading out for their exit Alex slipped into a little cocktail dress to end the night in total comfort.
Thanks to the vendors who made Alex & Andrew’s Fort Worth wedding such a smashing success!
Alex and Andrew are absolutely darling and I am so excited to finally share their wedding! They were hitched just before I headed out of town for vacation so the anticipation to share these has been building! They had an afternoon wedding at St Patrick’s Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth allowing me lots of time for photos between their ceremony and reception. With their laid back style we headed over to one of my favorite portrait locations – Van Zandt Cottage. I have never had the chance to take a bride and groom there before an fit was heaven – so glad we had the extra time to create some beautifully romantic images. These two had an emotion filled day and their cuteness level is definitely an 11! From passed notes around doors, unseen to stolen kisses at the altar I just swooned from start to finish.
Thanks to the wedding vendor team for helping make this day so phenominial!
Abby & Jeff had a fabulous reception at The Modern after their Robert Carr Chapel Wedding Ceremony. Upon arrival and after a short introduction and dinner I stole these two away for photos in the galleries and outdoors with the building as a beautiful night time backdrop. The opportunity to photograph a couple with amazing architecture and artwork is one of my favorite parts of this unique reception venue. After dinner in the Grand Hall the party moved to the cafe where IDT Band was set up to fill the night with music! The floor was full and everyone, including me, had a great time. Congrats you two on your marriage and I know there are great things in your future!
Abby & Jeff’s Fort Worth wedding reception was pulled together by the following vendors:
Jamie and Oscar and the most sincere people and it was amazing to be with them on their wedding day at Robert Carr Chapel and The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. Their families are lovely in every way and I spent allot of time behind my camera smiling and with moist eyes for these guys. From getting ready and Jamie’s reaction to her veil and Oscar’s face as she walked down the aisle to him it was just perfection. Their ceremony was officiated by Love Notes my favorite minister team. The Modern was the perfect backdrop for their reception as Oscar is an art history buff and it is simply one of the most beautiful places in the world to have your wedding. The reception was perfected with William Ryan of It’s Your Night Entertainment lighting and music and of course scrumptious cakes from The Cake Guys. Read on for more of their day, their moments and of course the FUN they had! Here is a glimpse further into their day with their highlight reel:
LOVED Jamie’s reaction to her veil, so sweet! I think the veil makes every girl feel like it is REAL!
A few day of bridal portraits for this stunning girl.
Love this one, so serene and pretty!

This gang was silly and FUN! (see below)
And NOW…..photos in the galleries at The Modern – the very coolest backdrop you can ever have for your wedding portraits.
This new installation is super cool and it has a very BLUE effect making this image look allot like a cyanotype (for the photo nerds out there.)
Cafe Modern lit up by William Ryan and cake by The Cake Guys.
A sweet welcome to his guests and his bride.
Toasts on the patio outside the Cafe Modern.
A dance with Dad for Jamie, And Mom for Oscar (below)
Did I mention fun? Yeah, Jamie’s Dad and Brother knew how to cut a rug and get us all laughing.
Private last dance before their getaway.
Congrats you two! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Rusty and Haley were married over the weekend with a stunning wedding at Robert Carr Chapel. We joined up with Haley and her ladies at Halo Salon off Camp Bowie for some beautification before hand. Haley’s hair was stunning and was styled by Rachel, I just love her! At the chapel we slipped into gowns while the gentlemen fussed with their ties before walking down the aisle. After saying their vows and some romantic portraits outside of the church we headed over to The Ashton Depot. The Depot is one of my favorite Fort Worth venues for their superb service, yummy food and the amazing architecture. William Ryan kept the dance floor full and the party going as this couple mingled with their guests and hit the floor for some dancing. It was so much fun sharing their day with them and I can’t wait to see them again soon. Congrats you two!
Thanks to the following vendor team for making Haley and Rusty’s day so special
