I have been dying to share this bridal portrait. Jackie is so super sweet, I just love spending time with her and her entire wedding day look was just stunning. Jackie found her dress at Stanley Korshak and it was designed by Isabelle Armstrong. I love the bold lace details, edging and fitted bodice. It is light and airy and ever so intricate. Her textured bouquet with anemone’s and pops of pink by Tami Winn brought in a bit of depth to her look. I always love photographing at the Meyerson – the light bright and airy feel of this venue is a favorite and it’s modern clean lines were the perfect backdrop to Jacqueline’s dress. Makeup and hair by Quynh Nguyen Yip.
I have been waiting to share these – Annie is on my team with Lightly Photography. She is one of my associate photography team and is a sweet friend whom I love like a little sis. We arranged for a special location for her bridal session – The Modern Art Museum. It is typically not available for sessions due to the restrictions of the artwork and insurers so if you are crushing on these photos I hate to tell you that your only ticket into this museum for photos is to have your wedding there. Annie loves the clean lines and modern architecture of the building with the soaring glass windows. We played with reflections and movement and used natural light to capture these bridal portraits. Annie purchased her gown at Classy Concepts in Mansfield and her Bouquet is by her Mother – Bridal Blooms & Justine’s Flowers. Hair and makeup by Fallon Farmer with Love & Pout.
After completing the booking process many couples want to know what is next. Here is a suggested list and time frames for wen to schedule your portrait sessions:
Engagement session planning can start right away. We suggest you do your session 3 months or more in advance of your wedding date. If you want to use an image on a save the date we suggest 7-9 months in advance. Save the date’s typically are sent out 6 months prior to your wedding. If you would like to use an image from your engagement there is a $40 file charge that includes, retouching, sizing and release to you.
Bridal photography is scheduled about 2 months in advance of your wedding. Once your dress is ordered and arrives at the salon we suggest contacting the studio to set up your bridal session. The length of time required for alterations may affect when we are able to photograph you.
Boudoir photography is scheduled prior to your wedding (no later than 4 weeks before.) We offer 2 boudoir weekend events that are all inclusive, in winter & summer! These sessions include hair, makeup, the hotel location & a 6×6 book to gift your spouse. Please check with us as soon as you know you want to participate so that we can guarantee you a spot. Individual sessions are also available to be scheduled but do not include hair, makeup and the hotel.
This amazing and lovely lady is married! One week ago today I watched her walk the aisle and say I do to her lovely now husband, Jason! Their day was pretty magical and I will be sharing images from it soon enough but first – THIS! Look at how radiant and happy she is! Katie just exudes joy, happiness and laughter. I think it would be hard to hold a conversation with her where a smile did take over your face. She is infectious! Her bridal session at the Dallas Arboretum was just awesome – I loved her dress and veil – they were made to make photographers happy. 🙂 Her sweet and simple white bouquet and poised undo brought all the attention to her. Really, isn’t she lovely? Congrats on ONE week of marriage Katie!

Jillian’s dress with an illusion plunging neckline in lace was gorgeous! She found her gown at Bridal Boutique of Lewisville and her floral is from Events by Oliver. Jill’s family owns Mitas Hill Vineyard where her wedding was last weekend but for her bridals we selected Arlington Hall. It is a perfect location to mirror the classic elegant feeling of a vineyard in a very southern style. I loved her organic and bright bridal bouquet. Can’t wait to share her wedding images next week!
Lauren was just stunning in her delicate beaded overlay gown. It was so unique and completely fits her personality and style. The day Lauren found her dress at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC she was just going to look and check out a trunk show of a designer she loved, it was love at first sight with this dress though so she committed to it and I’m so glad she did. Her undone garden bouquet by The Southern Table added to the light airy feel of Lauren’s look. We photographed this session just days before her wedding since she lives in New York. Totally loved being with her and Doug for their day.
Caroline is married and off in Hawaii celebrating her marriage to Taylor. She truly looked stunning on her wedding day – like a Hollywood Starlet. Her gown just is the epitome of classic, I don’t believe anyone will ever be able to pin point the year of her wedding. Her gown embodied the classic feelings of people like Grace Kelly and the mantilla veil (borrowed from her sister) was the perfect accent. Caroline truly looked like a modern day princess. Bouquet is by Tami Winn Events.
My favorite part of her bridals though was a reveal of her look to Dad, Eric. Often Daddy’s show up at bridal portraits and I always want to capture them seeing their daughters and make it special. I had Eric wait outside then brought him in for the big reveal. It was magical. When Eric walked her down the aisle Saturday and Taylor saw her for the first time it was just as perfect as he totally cried at the sight of his bride. Congrats Caroline! Enjoy the honeymoon!
The Adolphus Hotel is one of the most beautiful and historic locations in Downtown Dallas. Every aspect of this venue from the French Room Restaurant to their unique lobby areas are just rich with color, texture and history. Abbey’s full ballgown style dress fit in beautifully with the classic environment. Thanks so much for allowing us to capture your day!
Casey is my favorite right now, I know, all my brides are my favorite for different reasons but Casey killed it and I just can’t help but let her win that title for today. These photos have been burning a hole in my mind as I waited for her wedding day. It is time and I can breathe as I get to share her stunning photos. Casey is a classic beauty – I don’t know if she knows just how gorgeous she is. Her new hubby knows, Andrew was all tears the moment she stepped into the chapel. 🙂 Her wedding day attire definitely kicked it up a notch with a fabulously textured gown, simple veil with a gorgeous edge treatment and her bouquet…….the bouquet! I die. Her bouquet is an amazing take on the cascade look that has come back recently but in a very modern and clean way with ALL white orchids. Swooning times a million over the bouquet. I will stop, and just let you look. Can’t wait to share this wedding!
Today BreAnne is getting married so I can reveal this super fun bridal session I photographed for her earlier this month. Although I am not a part of her wedding day I was so privileged to be asked to photograph a maxed out bridal session – 4 hours and 2 very different looks that just make me smile, grin and well honestly, a happy dance! BreAnne is a dream to photograph and knows how to move and rock her fabulous Vera Wang gown. Thanks to Tami Winn Events for sending this doll my way and for providing a gorgeous floral bouquet and headpiece. At her families ranch we hit the pasture with their horse, Gray. Mom and Dad came along for the ride and served as dress and horse wranglers. We may have picked the windiest day in May for this photo shoot but we worked it and used to our advantage. Gray was a good sport but then after we let him loose we had one of those God moments where he and his fellow horses were all lined up eating grass RIGHT behind BreAnne. In addition we photographed inside Bass Hall for some luxe glamour to give a little balance. With some dramatic light and the naturally amazing backdrop of the theater it was perfection. Thanks BB and your family for including me in your wedding journey!
