Fort Worth Club Terrace bridal portrait with lush greenery

Libby’s Glamorous Bridal Portraits at The Fort Worth Club

Bridal Portraits

There’s a certain kind of bride who knows exactly who she is the moment she puts the gown on. Libby is that bride.

We photographed Libby’s bridal portraits at The Fort Worth Club — the same downtown venue where she’d marry Jonathan that November — and it was the perfect setting for the classic, glamorous session she had in mind. Old Hollywood, start to finish.

Her stylist swept her hair into that polished, cinematic wave, and the rest of the look followed suit. A cathedral-length veil trailing behind her, edged in blush & lace. An off-the-shoulder gown with the most delicate lace along the sleeves and all through the bodice. A blush-and-white bouquet with white orchids cascading toward the floor. She looked like she’d stepped straight off a movie set.

The Fort Worth Club practically art-directs itself. We worked through the Camellia Room — rich reds, warm creams & glittering chandeliers — and I kept coming back to those wrought-iron windows, because there’s no more elegant backdrop for a bride. Then out to the Terrace, where the lush greens play against all that red, and down the mirrored hallway for something quieter and a little more dramatic. Historic architecture like this is a gift for traditional portraits, and Libby wore every room like it was built for her.

This is exactly why I love a bridal session. There’s no timeline, no first look to run to, nobody waiting — just the bride, her gown & room after room of a building that’s been hosting Fort Worth’s most beautiful moments for a century. We get to slow down and make the portraits she’ll actually want on the wall.

Libby, thank you. You brought the vision, the elegance & that quiet confidence that makes my job easy. It was an honor to photograph you before your November wedding at The Fort Worth Club — here’s to you & Jonathan.
