Booker chose Thanksgiving weekend — surrounded by family and hosted at a private lakeside residence — to ask Heather to marry him. The setting was relaxed and meaningful. The lake stretched quietly behind them. Family gathered nearby. And when the moment came, it felt intimate, natural, and completely focused on the two of them.

Booker is the brother of one of our past grooms, which made documenting this proposal even more special. Being invited back to capture another chapter for the same family is never something we take lightly.

After Heather said yes, the celebration began immediately. Hugs, laughter, a few happy tears — and the kind of joy that only happens when everyone has been waiting for this moment.

Proposal photography is about more than the question itself. It’s about preserving the reaction, the relief, the emotion, and the first few minutes of “we’re engaged.” Those images become part of your family’s story — especially when the proposal happens in a place that already holds meaning.
