Hannah and James may call another state home, but when it came time to celebrate their marriage, they knew exactly where they wanted to bring everyone together: Fort Worth.

They envisioned a wedding weekend that felt warm, welcoming, and full of the city they love—and their engagement session was a chance to begin that experience long before the wedding day arrived.

Starting right near their downtown venue was the perfect way to explore some of their favorite parts of Fort Worth while giving Hannah and James the chance to simply enjoy being together. We wandered, talked, laughed, and let the city provide the backdrop as their personalities began to shine through.

There is something especially fun about photographing a couple in a place that already feels like theirs. Rather than simply choosing a beautiful location, we could make the session feel like an afternoon spent exploring a favorite city with two people who know exactly why they love it.

And just as importantly, the evening gave Hannah and James something they would carry with them into their wedding weekend: the confidence of knowing what it feels like to be in front of the camera together. By the end of their session, they were more comfortable, more relaxed, and even more excited for everything that was ahead.

Their engagement photos became more than a way to celebrate this season of their relationship. They were the first little glimpse of the Fort Worth wedding weekend they had imagined—a celebration that would welcome the people they love into a city that already held a special place in their hearts.
