A surprise proposal, a custom ring box, and a celebratory ice cream date! Tanner and Sharlais’s proposal in the Fort Worth Stockyards was such a sweet reminder that getting engaged deserves more than a few beautiful portraits.
Tanner put extra thought into making this moment personal, even having a special ring box created for the proposal. It’s those meaningful little details that make a proposal feel uniquely yours, and we love getting to preserve them!
After Sharlais said YES, the celebration didn’t end with the proposal. Instead, these two took a walk through the Stockyards and stopped at MELT Ice Creams for a sweet treat. What better way to celebrate being newly engaged?
Our favorite proposal photography tip? Make a date out of it!
Of course, we want to capture the big moment and those first excited portraits together. But some of the best photographs happen afterward, when you’re simply enjoying each other’s company.
Plan something you love doing together. Grab ice cream, stop for a cocktail, or take a walk through a favorite neighborhood. Those relaxed, natural moments add another layer to your proposal story and give you photographs that feel authentic to your relationship.
Tanner and Sharlais’s Fort Worth Stockyards proposal was the perfect combination of thoughtful planning, genuine emotion, and a little fun. We couldn’t be happier for these two!
