From engagement portraits to rehearsal dinners, here’s your ideal timeline for planning each photo session leading up to the big day.
Engagement Session
When to schedule: 3–9 months before the wedding
Engagement photos are the perfect way to celebrate this season and get comfortable in front of the camera. If you’re planning to use an image for your save the dates, schedule your session at least 7–9 months ahead. Most couples send save the dates around the 6-month mark.
Your session includes 5 high-resolution, retouched images for your save the dates—ready to print, post, or share!
Bridal Portraits
When to schedule: 6–8 weeks before the wedding
Bridal sessions are a Southern tradition for a reason. They’re not just about the dress—they’re a trial run for hair, makeup, bouquet, and accessories. Once your gown arrives and you’ve had at least one fitting, reach out to schedule.
We’ll help you choose a location that reflects your wedding style and give you the chance to soak in the beauty of this once-in-a-lifetime moment—without the rush of the wedding day. It’s also a perfect opportunity to create a framed portrait for display at your reception.
Rehearsal Dinner & Welcome Party Coverage
When to reserve: At least 1 month before the event
The night before your wedding is often filled with toasts, laughter, and meaningful moments with your closest people—and it deserves to be documented. Whether you’re hosting an intimate dinner or a welcome celebration for out-of-town guests, we offer photography coverage for these events.
Spots for rehearsal coverage are limited, so please reach out at least one month in advance to get it on our calendar.
