Lindsey and Colin are married!  I adored working this couple.  Lindsey is so sweet and Colin is a character.  These two had me smiling all day!  We met up at their church, Highland Park Presbyterian, in Dallas for getting ready and their ceremony.  This couple chose to see each other before the wedding so we could take care of all their formal photography ahead of time and they could head straight to the party!  As we set Lindsey up in the courtyard so Colin could walk out to her it started to sprinkle but God was good and held off the rain so we could do all of our outside portraits.  I think they had a pretty perfect day with the help of After Yes wedding planners.  Check back tomorrow for their reception at The Room On Main!

 I LOVE the above photo.  The clouds, their faces, the tall grass, ohhhhh it is scrumptious.  SO many photos from Melanie Jane & Dave’s wedding day had me swooning behind my camera.  From the moment they first embraced int he chapel until they departed in the limo love radiated from them.  Enjoy more of their Fort Worth Wedding and Reception with their best of slide show:

TCU Alumni

I am SO excited to share this wedding.  Unfortunately it is my last to post for awhile as I am getting super close (less than 7 weeks) to welcoming our new baby boy which means maternity leave from weddings.  I will be DYING to shoot a wedding come December 31st when I will return from leave.  This couple was the most perfect note to end my weddings for the year though.  Reagan was a bridesmaid in Stacey & Brent’s wedding last year and when she got engaged I was one of the first people she contacted.  In fact she was originally planning an October wedding but with me being due then she moved it to August so that I could be her photographer.  Love my girls that want me there so bad they plan around me. 

Reagan started her day with preparations at the Omni Hotel.  I loved all the cute robes she bought for her bridesmaids and her dress was to die for gorgeous and could not have been more perfect for her.  Tanner met up with us at First United Methodist in downtown Fort Worth were Reagan walked down the aisle to him for their first look.  At a church like FUMC a first look is ideal as there is no center aisle.  I love seeing a grooms reaction to his bride and some churches with side aisles do not offer a great view of the bride as she enters.  The first look is a perfect solution as he waited for her at the front of the aisle.  I adored that he held his arms out for her and she melted into him.  Perfection.  Later this week I will be sharing their romantic portraits and reception with their details.

Natalie and Ryan’s wedding was quite a beautiful affair.  The details, location and food were magnificent but more on that tomorrow.  Today it is all about their first look and portraits.  Natalie is an event planner out of Houston so she completely understood the importance of photos and knew that to get the most opportunity for images a first look is the way to go.  A few hours before the ceremony we set up Natalie in the courtyard of University christian in her to die for Vera Wang dress (does it look familiar?  Think Kate Hudson in Bride Wars!) and Ryan walked out to her with the biggest grin on his face.  I adored that he was so cautious as he walked up to her, careful not to step on the gown and leaning in for a kiss.  It was sweet that Natalie looked him over and smoothed his hair.  So truthful and a window into their loving marriage that was about to be.  After we took some romantic images of them both before family photos and a very fun night of celebration.  Check back tomorrow for all the details and tear jerking moments!

I am very excited to share this sneak peek today.  I am running off to the white sands and blue waters of St John for a family vacation and will be out of office for about a week.  I can’t wait to see the island again as the last time I was there I was married and had the best honeymoon possible.  While these two are on their honeymoon this week I wanted them to come home to at least a little peek at their wedding day.  Here are 6 photos that immediately stood out to me as I was working on her wedding this week.  A quiet moment alone in the courtyard of the church.  I love the hands and team work as her friends and family zipped up her to die for Vera Wang gown.  A sweet pink bouquet by Tami Winn complete with kissing frogs!  The looks on Natalie & Ryan’s faces as they saw each other for the first time make me smile.  A KILLER first kiss complete with one amazing dip.  Can’t wait to share more in a few weeks when I return.
