Carley & Drew {Engaged} Fort Worth Urban Locations & Trinity River

Has this weather not been fantastic lately?  Today it is feeling a bit like winter but the last few weeks we have had unheard of warmth for January and February!  That is completely fine with me as we have been busy photographing engagements for some of our 2012 couples.  Carley & Drew live near Houston so we had to plan around one of their trips up to Fort Worth to see Carley’s family.  We explored a few of my favorite locations and one new spot.  Carley requested some photos near the Trinity river and I have been eying these tall reeds by the river off Beach Street for some time so I was excited to finally check them out.  It is actually a part of a larger park and bike trails that connects to the park that is home to the Fort Woof Dog Park.  Definitely a new favorite spot.  Favorite moment during their session, Drew’s awesome eyebrow raise.  Maybe I should say moments because I caught him doing it more than once.  Love clients that can express them selves.  See you two later this year for your wedding in November!

Please Join us Jan 26th for our Open House!

We have been hard at work since May of last year renovating what once was a some what dilapidated old bungalow home into a beautiful revamped historic building we now call home for our studios, Tracy Autem & Lightly  Photography.  We would love for all of our friends and clients (and prospective ones too!) to join us next Thursday from 5:30 – 9:30.   Join us for treats by Creme de la Creme Cakes, Yes Taco Truck & Lili’s Bistro.  Floral and party planning by Tami Winn and decor by Rent My Dust and Celebrations Event Rental.  Mood music is to be provided by Randy Ro EntertainmentRSVP online here.  Hope to see you!

It is a come and go party and if you are looking to fill your dance card for the evening you can also head across town to Camp Bowie where our good friends, Bliss Bridal, is also hosting their grand opening.

Meghan & Cody {Engagement Portraits} Fort Worth Stockyards, downtown & herritage park

Photographing Meghan & Cody’s engagement session a few weeks ago was incredible.  They were sweet, silly and Cody is for sure head over heels for this darling girl.  Meghan met Cody through his brother’s wife and I must say that she is one lucky girl to have such good friends!  Their wedding this coming July at Bass Hall is going to be a hit with the best of Fort Worth for their vendor list.  My good friend, Tami Winn, is their coordinator and helping them pull everything together.  I can’t wait to photograph these two again.  I have the best clients!

Morgan & Jason {Married on New Years Eve} Fort Worth Club & FUMC

Morgan & Jason were married on New Years Eve.  In a way they were my last wedding of 2011 and my first of 2012 as we ended after midnight.  We had a truly beautiful day with them and I was SO very excited to shoot their wedding.  I had been on maternity leave from weddings for almost 3 months so it was awesome to be back doing my thing!  Morgan & Jason were married at First United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at Fort Worth Club.  Here are some of the amazing vendors they used:

Tami Winn Events – Floral

Vera Wang Gowns at Neiman Marcus

Dessy – Brides maid Attire

Ice House Band

Halo Bridal Salon

Gorbos Salon

Morgan kept her dress top secret from all of her bridesmaids and friends so I LOVE these two photos as her dress was brought out.  Her Mom looked so happy and her bridesmaids reactions was WOW!

Often my couples exchange gifts on the wedding day.  I love how expressionistic these two are!  Morgan admiring her Tiffany’s necklace and Jason lost his composure at the sight of his gift.

Confident.  best word to describe this beautiful bride.

The flower Girl watching as Morgan entered the hall.

I think Jason might have been nervous, he was puffing his cheeks out in anticipation but when he saw her…..he just smiled.

Perfect moment with Dad and Daughter.

The main reason I love unity candles is this.  The chance for the couple to steal a moment to themselves amidst the crowd.

I love how tender Jason is.  He kissed her on the shoulder as they danced their first dance.

A sweet moment during the prayer.

This kid had me wanting to run home, scoop up my boys and love on them.

Ice House band ROCKED it!!!

Always amazing flowers by Tami Winn

ADORE this photo of Jason with his Grandma.  Images like this are beyond priceless.

Happy New Year!!!

Rachel & Andrew {Engagement Portraits} in Fort Worth, Texas

Rachel & Andrew live in New York City so I met them for the first time at their engagement session just a few days before Christmas.  It was great to finally get to meet them and learn about them.  I had a little idea about who they were because they sent me their proposal video.  Andrew is one smart chap who planned a sneaky surprise for Rachel.  Rachel was supposed to be going ice skating in central park, a perfectly normal thing (I guess if you are a New Yorker this is so) but while on her way he ambushed her with a serenade and a very important question.  I love that he sung an Adam Sandler song to her before asking for her hand, it gave me such great insight on them.  Rachel’s family flew to New York from Texas to be there and surprise her as well.  It was truly a romantic moment.  During their engagement session they taught me about some things from how tiny apartments are in Times Square and how having a cool apartment (that is big like Andrew’s) is something you don’t let go of.  They also gave me tips on finding public restrooms in NYC which is apparently a problem I was unaware of.  All in all the thing I learned that was most important was how much these two love each other.  They are practically silly in the most amazing ways and I can tell they were created to entertain each other the rest of their lives.  Can’t wait for their wedding this coming Fall!
