Our full wedding packages always include two photographers, your chosen lead and a second. This allows us to essentially be in two places at once and focus on both the couple and their guests without missing much but sometimes it is beneficial to add a 3rd photographer but when?

1. If you plan on having more than 300 guests, it can be helpful to have that extra set of eyes to make sure everyone is well documented.
2. If you just love moments and photos and want to be sure that extra angles are covered for even more story telling images. A 3rd photographer is especially useful in this circumstance because it makes it easier for them to focus solely on the reactions of your parents and guests while your first two photographers are concentrating on you and your new spouse. For example during a first dance, parent dances and toasts. They can also capture some fun behind the scenes, story telling moments while your lead is getting up close and personal moments.
3. If you are going all out on your reception details. This is when we really feel a 3rd photographer is crucial. If you have a decked out reception space, a 3rd photographer can spend the entirety of your ceremony photographing details and making sure they capture every last thing while your ceremony is being documented by the first two. This allows you to still have two angles through the entirety of your ceremony while still being sure to have those gorgeous photos of your reception space before guests arrive. We are always going to make sure your details are taken care of but adding a 3rd photographer just ensures you’ll get the most photos of your space as possible.

Mackenzie and Brody chose to have 3 of us document their day and I love everything we were able to capture of their day! Having 3 photographers is not always necessary but you really can’t go wrong if you decide to add them!
