Melissa & Doug had a gorgeous wedding reception at Fort Worth Club. I loved all the little details they had from late night donut holes and sliders to gorgeous floral from Branching Out events. Thanks to everyone that made this couples wedding wishes come true!
Sarah and Michael are married! This wedding was a day to be remembered and is one of my favorites this year. This couple has an amazing love story from meeting in equine class in high school to overcoming great distances (Japan is pretty darn far away!) to finally walking down the aisle, saying I DO and moving on to a new adventure together. I know these two have some exciting times ahead as Sarah joins the ranks of Military wife and Michael gets to finally have her by his side at all times. I was truly privileged to be a part of their journey.
We met up at The Fort Worth Club before the ceremony for some prettying up in the Camellia Room for the ladies and some pool shooting in the 21 club for the gentelmen. Sarah slipped her dress on twice, one at the club then at the church again before walking down the vibrant red carpet of Robert Carr Chapel to see her husband. Their ceremony, officiated by Love Notes, was perfect and I can’t wait to share their elegant timeless reception at Fort Worth Club tomorrow!
The wedding was made possible by their A+ vendor team!

This wedding was near and dear to my heart as it was my second wedding with the Bride’s family. A little over a year ago I photographed Mallory’s sisters wedding so I felt right at home with her parents, brother and grandma. Although I may have been meeting Ryan’s family for the first time they were SO sweet and made me feel like I’ve known them for ever. My strong attachment to them meant narrowing down photos for them has been HARD!!! So in conclusion I will be sharing 2 blogs of this awesome Robert Carr wedding and Stonegate Mansion Reception.
I met up with Mallory and her gang of girls for preparations at Stonegate Mansion where we were joined by the hair and make up team of Halo Salon. After Mallory slipped into her gown we headed to the chapel for her wedding. After the Mom’s were seated they joined hands and walked to the altar to light the unity candles. I knew it would be emotional and from the first moment those doors opened to reveal Mallory and her Dad, Ken, my heart beat faster. Behind me I know Ryan’s must have been booming in his chest too as he grinned as she walked down the aisle towards him. I loved that through out the day Mallory was always hugging on her Dad, from giving her away to right after the ceremony as she cried as he held her.
Today I also wanted to share a few of Mallory’s bridal portraits that we took a few months ago at the Gaylord and Lake Grapevine. Bridals are one of my favorite things and it was so great to spend the afternoon with her and her Mom, Stacey. Keep a look out for Part 2 with their romantic portraits, more details and a reception that rocked thanks to Randall Stout Entertainment!
LOVE does not begin to describe how I feel abut the photo – Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, available gallery light and one very in love couple is my idea of perfect.
This wedding was SO amazing. It had everything a wedding needs to make me a very happy photographer. The best couple that is head over heels in love with each other. My favorite team of vendors, coolest venues in Fort Worth and the undeniable prescience of God. Through out their day I had goose bumps, teary eyes and a smile plastered to my face. I could not be happier for Summer and Paul and I hope to be a part of their journey together in the years to come as they are extraordinary people. I think if you take a moment to look at their images you will see why.
Thanks to the team who made it so perfect!
Summer cried as she read Paul’s note to her before the ceremony and she gasped when she opened the pearl necklace he gave her. So sweet.
Pure excitement as Summer’s Sister-in-law helped with the veil
I am a sucker for emotion and my favorite is when it comes from the groom, he teared up as he read her note as well. So in love.
Ready to walk down the aisle, look at her smile…glowing.
So happy to see his beautiful bride.
This amazing floral art work by Tami Winn was the coolest thing I have ever seen at a reception.
The above shot is the one thing that this couple KNEW they wanted before ever even looking for a photographer. I think we nailed it and I can’t wait to see it hanging in their home!
As an artist I just adore being able to photograph people in front of Iconic work by Rothco or Warhol….It is just beyond special.
One of my favorites! love all the neutral tones.
This photo takes on a special meaning. Not knowing about her Dad’s speech to come I took this image. Later on as her Dad spoke he remembered a photo he has of a young Summer, hands on her face, posing in front of this very artwork. Some things change but some things never do.
Neck nuzzling is the best.
Her Grandpa moved me to tears when he spoke. What a God filled man with words of wisdom and Love for his little girl and her cowboy.
