Kelly Garrett – Wedding Ceremony First Presbyterian Church

Fort Worth, Texas

Kelly & Garrett are married! These two met through mutual friends and were inseparable from their first meeting. One night out led to spending most of the weekend together followed by their first official date the next weekend. 2 years later they are married and it was a fabulous day! Summer heat, cooled by some unexpected storms and so many beautiful moments.

Their wedding ceremony was rooted in tradition and family – They said I do in Kelly’s home church. At their sides they choose to have siblings in the wedding party as well as their closest friends. They spent quality time with their wedding party and family pre – ceremony, really soaking the day in and enjoying the process.

Shout out to all the vendors that took care of the little details so Kelly and Garrett could enjoy the day!

Cherrell & Alan – New Years Eve Wedding ReceptionFort Worth Club

Happy New Year!  Cherrell & Alan’s wedding was my last of 2018 and the first of 2019 as we rang in the new year together!  Having a New Year’s wedding is special – you gather your family and friends for a celebration they will be talking about every year to come.  It’s definitely special.  As a photographer it is a recipe for fun!  DJ Nate Nelson and Vibe the Band made sure the party didn’t stop until the confetti fell.

Cherrell & Alan – Wedding Ceremony at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, Texas

Cherrell and Alan had an elegant nighttime ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel.  The chapel is such a gorgeous venue that really transforms at night.  Their candlelit wedding was so sweet.  Alan has the most beautiful smile and when Cherrell walked the aisle with her Daddy his face lit up the room.  After the ceremony we played in the dark inside and outdoors to take advantage of the gorgeous architecture of the chapel.

Lauren & Richard – Wedding Ceremony at St. Patrick’s CathedralFort Worth, Texas

Lauren & Richard are a super special couple to me – they are the 6th among their friend group to tie the knot that I have been able to photograph!  It’s so fun to go on these journeys with my couples and to be reunited all together to celebrate another one of their friends getting married. These two have amazing friends, family and a love for each other that is beautiful to watch.  They selected Rivercrest Country Club in Fort Worth for their wedding reception because they spend allot of time there, live nearby and it is where Richard proposed!  It’s also where we chose to have their first look so that we could capture images on the golf course on their wedding day.  I loved that when we headed outside for their big reveal that there was so few people around, it was so private and perfect for them!  Here is their Rivercrest Country Club proposal story:

“One of our favorite things to do is take our dog, Echo, on walks, especially in places where he doesn’t have to be on a leash because he loves to chase tennis balls and squirrels. For that reason, and because the River Crest golf course is such a short distance away, we generally take him there on Mondays when the club is closed or when it’s getting dark and golfers are finished playing. This particular walk after work didn’t seem out-of-the-ordinary because the weather was nice, and it was a Monday. I think I had even asked Richard the day before if we could take Echo for a walk the next day.
He called me around 5 p.m. Monday to let me know he was leaving work and to come over when I was ready. That’s generally earlier than he usually leaves work, but work had been particularly stressful for him the few weeks prior, so when he phrased it as just being a long day and he needed to go home, I didn’t think anything of it. I was so not suspicious, in fact, that I took my time getting there and even tried helping him with laundry when I got there. After rushing me out the door because “Echo had been waiting for so long and was so excited,” I told him every detail about my day and didn’t let him get in any of the sweet words he had planned to say on the walk over. It even took me a few seconds to realize he was actually on his knee asking me to marry him, not just tying his shoe. It turns out that he was rushing me out the door because his mom had been hiding behind a tree in someone’s yard for about 30 or 40 minutes so she could capture photos of that moment.”

She said yes at the country club and then they celebrated their I do there!  It was perfect!  They said their I Do at St. Patricks Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth.  The church has a special place in their hearts, they attend there together and have grown spiritually as a couple there.  It is also their family church, Richard’s Grandfather attended there as a child and was an altar boy almost 90 years ago!

Thank you to everyone who made their wedding so special!

Callie & Ryan – Wedding Reception at The Modern Art MuseumFort Worth, Texas

Callie & Ryan’s wedding reception at The Modern was fun filled and gorgeous!  Hands down though the private last dance took the night for me!  We may have danced all night but when their guests went outside to prepare to send them off to the honeymoon these two took to the dance floor alone.  They just melted into each others arms, kisses, smiles and sweet tears of joy (see above) were the perfect end to a fabulous wedding day.  Congrats Callie & Ryan and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story.  I wish you the best Happily Ever After!

Melissa & Doug – Wedding Ceremony at First United Methodist ChurchFort Worth, Texas

Melissa and Doug had a beautiful wedding at First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth a few weeks ago.  The couple selected this church because many of Doug’s family members have married here over the years so it was the perfect nod to tradition.  The couple loves old world architecture and the classic archways were the perfect backdrop for their portraits and first look!  For this spring wedding God totally blessed us and gave us some sunshine and clear skies right up until we were finishing with outdoor portraits!  Then the rain came!  Could not have had better timing.

Jackie & Matt – Wedding Reception at Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

Jackie & Matt’s wedding was AMAZING!  I love photographing at the Ashton Depot but Tami Winn transformed the space, accentuated the gorgeous architectual details then brought in unique touches like the custom laser cut columns and draped greenery.  It was just beautiful!  This wedding reception was only pretty but it was FUN! Jackie and Matt hopped from dancing to visiting and made some stops to their MirMir photo booth!  The band, brought from Memphis, pulled Jackie up on stage with her bridesmaids for some fun dancing!  As the guests prepped outside for a sparkler exit Jackie and Matt shared a few special moments alone on the dance floor.

Jackie & Matt – Wedding Ceremony and Portraits at Robert Carr ChapelTexas Christian University

Jackie LOVES pictures – so we made sure we had extra time for photos outside and inside of Robert Carr Chapel on the TCU campus.  This couple values friends and family so we made time for photos with all their most important people.  The light was gorgeous as we walked around campus and captured the beauty of TCU and of course my couple!  Paper Planet created a unique laser cut invitation that I just adore for this wedding.  The wedding ceremony was so sweet and my favorite part was as Matt leaned in and whispered to Jacqueline during the unity candle lighting – so super cute!!

The Ashton Depot is one of my fave places to photograph – beautiful architecture, a rich history and one of the best teams around!  Their food is out of this world amazing!  Shelby’s color pallete of soft whites and creams with touches of blue and soft peach and pinks was beautiful.  Shelby and Whilden had a fun filled reception.  Thanks to the following team who made the party such a success:
