This table top design with Jacqueline Events was gorgeous! I loved the use of rental furniture, and the long statement floral on the table. The color palette with soft sage greens and pinks, light coral’s and whites was touchable and soft. Di Fiori always impress’ me with their use of flowers. The invitation suite by Goldie Design Co was perfection with soft floral details and wax stamped envelopes. We photographed this editorial at the new and lovely venue, The Laurel, in Grapevine. Its natural green backdrop exterior areas were perfect backdrops to this classic design. Big shout out to our other vendor partners Honeylove Cakery, Prop Maker Luxury Event Rentals & Farm to Market Catering!
We love weddings when we get to work with a vendor line up like this one! Tami Winn Events, The Omni Hotel, St Patricks Cathedral and a gorgeous dress by Bliss Bridal. All that plus one super sweet in love couple it is no surprise they are featured in the most recent issue of Brides of North Texas. Check out their wedding in the magazine at newsstands near you!
Today BreAnne is getting married so I can reveal this super fun bridal session I photographed for her earlier this month. Although I am not a part of her wedding day I was so privileged to be asked to photograph a maxed out bridal session – 4 hours and 2 very different looks that just make me smile, grin and well honestly, a happy dance! BreAnne is a dream to photograph and knows how to move and rock her fabulous Vera Wang gown. Thanks to Tami Winn Events for sending this doll my way and for providing a gorgeous floral bouquet and headpiece. At her families ranch we hit the pasture with their horse, Gray. Mom and Dad came along for the ride and served as dress and horse wranglers. We may have picked the windiest day in May for this photo shoot but we worked it and used to our advantage. Gray was a good sport but then after we let him loose we had one of those God moments where he and his fellow horses were all lined up eating grass RIGHT behind BreAnne. In addition we photographed inside Bass Hall for some luxe glamour to give a little balance. With some dramatic light and the naturally amazing backdrop of the theater it was perfection. Thanks BB and your family for including me in your wedding journey!
We love working with the Brides of North Texas Magazine. It is full of awesome tips and ideas for the modern bride. This current issue I had the privilege of photographing the invitation and papers spot light. The paper products you send to your guests announcing your engagement to the place card at the reception tell a story about what to expect on the wedding day. I have a deep love with letterpress products and fonts used in interesting ways and these all caught my fancy. For more information on my past publications with Brides of North Texas see HERE.
I do have a true love story with brides and wedding dresses. One of the main reasons I am passionate about shooting weddings is that I love the fairy tale, the excitement and the uniqueness that surrounds each wedding gown and the bride that chooses it. When the owners of Brides of North Texas Magazine approached me about this dreamy vintage shoot I was on board from the moment I saw the inspiration board. It was completely up my alley as I love all things that are soft, natural, vintage and romantic. It stood out to me as different as well from other gown editorials as we were going to throw into the mix a good looking young man, some designer suiting, a table-scape, detail shots and a boudoir look! I was completely taken a back as well as I thought, little old me, shoot a gown editorial? I knew I could do it but I also think that a degree of humbleness and wanting to improve is essential to any artists growth. This shoot humbled me, wowed me and when I finally held the magazine in my hands I was in awe of what I created. I actually looked at my staff and said I can’t believe these are my photos! I am so in love with each image and the Brides of North Texas staff so blessed me with this opportunity. I can’t wait for the projects I will shoot with them in the future! Later this Fall I will share some more images from the shoot that are not in the magazine as well as a few behind the scenes moments.
