Bailey – Bridal Portraits at Chandor Gardens

Tracy Autem Photography 2013 https://tracyautem.com

I love the winter, in Texas weddings slow down and we find the time to rest before diving into another busy spring full of beautiful brides and emotion charged wedding days.  It is also gives me a chance to share some of my bridal portraits from our Fall brides.  Ms. Bailey was our last wedding for 2013 on Dec 28th at Ashton Gardens.  This west Texas girl brought her and Brandon’s family up to the big D for all their wedding festivities, it was a destination wedding in many ways.  For her bridal portraits we selected one of my favorite gardens, Chandor Gardens, in Weatherford.  It feels like an old English garden with greenery, architectural detailing (like this walkway above) and is just so serene, I could spend all day there!  Bailey’s dress was found at Bridal Boutique of Lewisville and her bright, bold purple bouquet was created by Lush Couture (one of my faves!)

Bailey & Brandon – Wedding Reception at Ashton Gardens

Photo by Tracy Autem of Lightly Photography 2013 http://lightlyphoto.com

After Bailey & Brandon’s Wedding Ceremony it was time to celebrate!  After some romantic imagery in the chapel and outside in the chill of the evening we headed in to party it up.  After some fun introductions these two hit the dance floor and invited all their guests to take part in their first dance as husband and wife.  They spent the evening mingling with friends and family and cutting up on the dance floor.  Don’t let Brandon’s laid back demeanor fool you, he knows how to bring it on the dance floor.  He is Sexy and he knows it (And Bailey knows it too!)  His shenanigans were quite entertaining and I think he may have even danced a bit with me.  After lots of fun it was time to depart, we stole them away for one last parting portrait beneath the sweet marquis LOVE letters provided by Leforce Entertainment.  Then they were off to their honeymoon to celebrate their marriage and the new year!  Thanks guys for letting us take part, we so enjoyed ending our 2013 with you.

Their wedding was truly beautiful thanks to the following team:

Bailey & Brandon – Wedding Ceremony at Ashton Gardens

Photo by Tracy Autem of Lightly Photography 2013 http://lightlyphoto.com

Bailey & Brandon’s wedding was the perfect way to seal the end of my 2013 Weddings.  They had a fabulous winter wedding with bright reds and purples at Ashton Gardens in Corinth.  These two aren’t Dallas Fort Worth local though as they traveled with all of their guests from Midland Odessa for their destination style wedding.  We met up with the lovely Bailey and her maids at a nearby hotel for some beautification by Something You Makeup Artistry.  I loved their fun denim shirts with custom monograms, made me want to kind of run out and get one!  Once we arrived at the chapel at the gardens we slid her into her gorgeous gown with lace detailing and a super sweet belt.  I love dresses with unique detailing and hers had it in spades.  Brandon and his gentlemen hung around and were laid back looking toward the ceremony.  He was super excited to open his gift from his bride to be and find some styling Justin Boots.  Practical and oh so suave.

The sun set and ceremony time approached, Bailey share a special reveal of her gown before her Daddy walked her down the aisle.  Brandon’s smile could not be bigger as his bride approached and he pretty  much stayed that way from that moment on as you can see above.  This is one guy who knows what he has and I am sure he will hold on tight to the beautiful girl he gets to call wife.  Stay tuned tomorrow for their killer reception led by Ed Petty of Leforce Entertainment, one of my favorite DJ’s!

All the pretty and planning were made possible to the always Extraordinary, Julie Eastman.  She knows how to pull together a stellar team!

Kelsey & Matthew – Wedding and Preparations at Aristide Event Center

Kelsey and Matthew are blissfully married and I could not be happier for them.  Their day was full of emotion and sweet moments that made me over the moon.  Above is one of my most favorite parts of their wedding day.  A trend in wedding photography right now is to have a private moment with the groom before the wedding BUT staying true to tradition and not seeing each other.  Kelsey & Matt choose to share notes as they stood on either side of the door.  It was perfect, they talked, giggled, you could see their nervous excitement and my favorite comment was “I’m ready to get married.”  I think this one image sets the tone for their day and their marriage.  See below for some other precious moments from their preparations and ceremony.  Tomorrow check back for the romantics, reception and slide show.

Kelsey’s Grandma seeing her in her gown for the first time, look at the light in her eyes.  It makes me melt.

I love Mom’s and how much they love their daughters.  Better yet I adore the look on Kelsey’s face, it just shows how much she knows she is loved.

Grandma wasn’t the only one that got to have a big reveal, Dad came to see Kelsey in her gown before the ceremony.

AND when he saw her she cried.  🙂

Nothing is sweater than tutu’s and ballet slippers on flower girls.  Classic, timeless and so princess perfect.

Before they left to prepare to walk down the aisle he sealed his time with her by a gentle kiss on the hand.

This bouquet by Lush Couture Floral is amazing BUT what makes me swoon is this custom locket with photos of all her family members that could not be with her.

String quartet providing the perfect backdrop to the ceremony

Matt is a clever man, he came up with a whole new tradition.  A BRO ROW.  What is that?  It is the equivalent of house party for the ladies but this dapper group of young men took seats of honor right behind his family to support their friends vows.

I am a sucker for Mom, Daughter moments and I love this one.

Stunning and ready to walk the aisle.

Looking for his bride.

Matt – you are a BAD groom.  You are not supposed to kiss her until AFTER the wedding.  I love that he was so overwhelmed and excited that he forgot tradition and went with his heart.

Matt’s Uncle married the couple which I love.  It means SO much more when you have a genuine connection with your officiant.

Stay tuned for more images tomorrow…..Oh they are good.

Kelsey {Bridal Portraits} Thistle Hill in Fort Worth

Kelsey and Matt were married this past weekend at Aristide Event Center so I get to share her bridal portraits!!!!  Thistle Hill in Fort Worth is one of my favorite spots to photograph bridals and it is seriously around the corner from our studio.  It offers so many beautiful options with vintage furnishings, sweeping windows and staircases and lots of opportunities for me to play with some drama.  I had not been to this historic mansion in a while so I was excited to be there again with such a beautiful subject.  Kelsey is easy to photograph, her sweet smiles and amazing figure make for perfect images.  I loved her gown by Bliss Bridal and floral by my friend Deitra of Lush Couture.  Can’t wait to share the wedding that Julie Eastman with Extraordinary Events made into perfection!
