Can’t believe I have come to the end of my 2016 weddings! To put a cherry on top of a fabulous year of amazing couples I ended with Caitlin & Jordan – a couple that is gorgeous, had AMAZING locations, a great vendor team and was perfect in every way.

We kicked off their day with preparations! Caitlin had an emotionally charged getting ready as her Mommy & Sister helped her dress and she revealed her look to Daddy and opened gifts from Jordan. So perfect! This is just the beginning because I had to split this one up into 4 posts as they had 3 very different locations and a super fun and beautiful reception!

Rehearsal Dinner at The Venue at Lot 207McKinney, Texas

This Rehearsal dinner in Mckinney at The Venue at Lot 207 was stylish and so inviting. The family style table set up by Prop Maker set the tone and made the guests feel connected and welcome. Beautiful paper products by CW Designs. Check out all the pretty and then some awesomely cute moments as the couple was toasted by their family and friends. Bree & Craig – Private Dallas Ranch Wedding Reception

Can’t think of a better end to a day then this. A final goodbye amidst sparklers and fireworks!

The reception space at Bree’s family ranch was housed in a tent filled with rustic meets chic decor. The beautiful barn tables were dressed up in whites, silver and touches of gray, greens and lavenders. The family style atmosphere set the tone for a fun filled night. As limelight took the stage and Bree & Craig were announced the party was on! This couple never strayed far from the dance floor or each other. After dinner it was time for cake and there was a little special detail on the back of the cake just for Craig – his Jersey number on a tiny little football! Super cute and very thoughtful of Bree. As the night progressed it was time for wedding dress #2! I am not always a fan of second dresses but this one – let me say was pretty awesome. The slinky beaded gown was easy to dance in and had perfect little princess cap sleeves. As the night came to close the couple took the stage for their last dance along side the band before being led off to their honeymoon by the horn section.

It was a fabulous night and we had the best time celebrating with them. Bree made us feel like family and I am just thrilled for these two and the life they have ahead of them. Congratulations you two!

Ashley & Derek – Wedding Reception at the Dallas Ritz Carlton

Rain is good luck they say and I believe it is true for Ashley & Derek. For their first look we had sunshine but it rained the rest of the day and when it does….make the most of it! In love with these rainy day photos we took right before this couple kicked off the party at The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dallas. After getting a little wet Ashley slipped into her second dress, a slinky beaded gown to party the night away! Emerald City kept the floor packed all night long and we had fun until our feet ached with this couple and their families. A good band gets the audience pumped and everyone had a great time singing along and even making some appearances on stage! Derek pulled out his horn abilities and played a little while Ashley (along with her Mom, brother and Derek’s brother!) all spent some time on the drums. It was really a unique night! The ballroom at the Ritz was transformed and made lively thanks to all of Ashley’s vendors! Here is a run down of all her fabulous professionals:

Kate & Josh – Wedding Ceremony at St Patricks Cathedral

Kate & Josh had a beautiful wedding day and we were so lucky to be with them to capture it. From their ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral to their reception at Fort Worth Club. It was a perfect day! We met up with Kate and her maids at the club for some getting ready photos in the Camellia room. I loved the soft neutral bridesmaids gowns! During getting ready Josh spent most of his time trying to tie his bow tie – with little luck they traded out for a simpler style but it made for some funny getting ready moments. After the ceremony the couples family and friends waited outside the cathedral to greet them as they exited, it’s a Northern tradition that I think we should bring on down to the South, it was so pretty and special! Then we headed out around town for some romantic portraits. Catholic weddings often take place earlier int he day with a later reception so with a break in-between it gives us a chance to really play! Kate and Josh selected a few city vibe’s and a park for their couple alone portraits. We pulled the bridal party out for a few too! Jadrien & McCall {Married Part 1 – Romantics, Portrais & Details} Robert Carr Chapel & City Club FW

Jadrien & McCall had a very TCU wedding from purple bridesmaids gowns, floral, cuff-links, popcorn and an appearance by super frog. They are so incredibly sweet on one another and my heart soared while I photographed the two of them alone. They were extra nice to me and gave me a bit of extra time at a location of my choosing so we hit some urban walls including the purple one above. Jadrien wore a gorgeous gown from Bliss Bridal while her bridesmaids dresses were from Ocones. One of my favorite people, Dietra of Lush Couture Floral provided all the fabulous arrangements. Shannon with Something You made sure Jadrien and her Mom had flawless faces while my great friend Kelly Arroyo provided hair services. The cakes were made by Lesley’s Cakes and Glenn Roush kept the dance floor full and going all night long. It was truly a perfect day for my “Disney Princess” Bride (more on that in the moments post!) at Robert Carr Chapel & City Club of Fort Worth all pulled together by Chrissie Stuntz Events.

Brandi & TJ {Married Part 1 – Portraits & Details} Old Red Courthouse in Dallas

I am so excited to share this wedding! I have known the Groom, TJ, for many a years and I was super thrilled to share in his wedding day. Their day was a complete tear jerk-er but I’ll tell more about that in Part 2 of their wedding blog. This one is all about the pretty. Brandi had always had her eyes on Old Red Courthouse in Dallas for her wedding and she could not have picked a more perfect venue for her vintage chic wedding. Wendy with Birds of a Feather Events helped pull it all together with cute silhouettes of the bride and groom on cookies and wall art. Wendy also made the most beautiful hand sewn flowers for the place settings and brought together a fabulous array of vintage books and items to complete the decor. Brandi wore a gorgeous gown from Pence & Panache in Burleson while her bridesmaids wore Priscilla of Boston. The simply delicious brides cake and the zombie grooms cake were made by Sugar Bee Sweets. Kabloom provided the magnificent floral and Randy Ro Entertainment kept us dancing all night long. I can’t wait to share the little things that made me have watery eyes ALL day soon.

Eugenia & Michael {Married Part 3 – Details & Reception} Fort Worth Modern Art Museum & Botanic Gardens

The reception is when the FUN happens and it is also where we get to see the hard work of Eugenia & Michael’s team. I fell completely in love with the purple motif created in the grand lobby and cafe modern by Philip Combs Designs, Dayna Tooley Events, Specialty Sound & MM Special Events. The floral was smart and crisp and the repetition of the sliver branches that mimicked the sculpture on the grounds was ingenious. The lounge furniture and purple up-lighting gave the cafe the ultimate swanky feeling. The food by The Modern was delicious as always and Eugenia, Michael and their guests and a fabulous time dancing the night away. The yummy cake was by Creme de la Creme.

Lindsey & Jason {Married} Part 1 – Romantics, Portraits & Detals at The Piazza in the Village

OH how I loved this wedding and how I super duper really love this couple. I was truly blessed to be at Lindsey & Jason’s wedding last Friday at The Piazza in the Village. I cried allot, laughed, and just had FUN! Today I am going to focus on all Lindsey’s feathery details and of course their portraits. The above image is my absolute favorite from their day. Lindsey wanted to go for a look she had seen before in a photograph featuring George Clooney. She looks at Jason and tells him to be George, no pressure there! I think he nailed it though, he is more smooth than George any day in this photo. How could he not be? With such a gorgeous wife to share the photo with….

Yes, there were feathers. Everywhere! From her shoes to her bouquet and MANY feather balls.

Lindsey & Jason are a bit theatrical and I love that their bridal party was up for a bit of fun. The girls faces just make me giggle.

Lindsey is a do it yourself kinda girl. These fabulously fun feather balls were made by her!

I like all chubby birds and especially penguins. These cute cake toppers were on the couples sweetheart table. They were just begging to be a prop for a ring photo.
