Bethany & Tyler – Wedding Reception at The Ashton DepotFort Worth, Texas

This wedding reception is one I will likely never forget. At the end of the night I told Tyler that he is one of the coolest and most fun groom’s I have ever worked with. Tyler and Bethany both are a joy to be around and they made the best of their 4 hour reception. I am pretty sure they danced, hugged, talked and laughed with at least every guest they had. From the moment they walked in the tone was set for a killer night – as the doors opened and the band announced the Mr & Mrs and played “All I do is Win” these two entered the reception arms in the air and tore up the dance floor before their first dance had even begun. Their entrance was epic and it didn’t stop there. Reception’s are about more than the couple – they are about all the invited guest and loved ones. During this party I loved watching the parents interact with one another and their children. We caught Tyler hugging Bethany’s parents, chatting up his Dad and brother and being a little crazy on the stage with the band. Bethany sang with the band from the dance floor, had fun dancing beside her husband and stole lots of kisses from him all night.

To top all of that – Bethany and Tyler are my 4th couple in a group of friends I have been so lucky to photograph. Having 3 of my past couples dancing along side me as I captured this night was priceless. Building relationships with my couples and seeing them time and again at other friends weddings is such a huge reward. I’m looking forward to sharing the dance floor with all 8 of them next year at another one!

This party was gorgeous and fun! Justine’s flowers filled the ballroom with lush arrangements that were gorgeous and as the room filled and the party started the energy was high and it was time to dance. Signed, sealed, delivered put on quite a show and kept the dance floor packed and Sarah & David celebrating the night of their lives. I loved getting out there with them and dancing along – these families for sure knew how to party! From mingling with friends to singing on the stage this couple had a fabulous night that no one wanted to end. In fact, it really didn’t end – as they made their farewell to fluterfetti the crossed the street and their guests and friends followed as they took the party across the street for drink and more fun at a Sundance Square bar. Loved these two and seriously could do this one over and over again. Part of the reason this day was so phenomenal was all the great wedding professionals that I shared it with:

Allie & Kane – Wedding Reception at River Crest Country ClubFort Worth, Texas

River Crest Country Club was just stunning for Allie & Kane’s wedding. This was my first wedding to photograph at the club and I just fell in love with the ballroom, the staff and the location. It was the perfect place for this elegant and classic wedding reception. Tami Winn created an amazing space complete with custom gold dance floors, hedge walls, custom signage and an outdoor space that was so welcoming. A gospel choir entertained the guests during cocktail hour before Downtown Fever took the stage to welcome the bride and groom into their first dance. All night these two were rarely apart and spent the evening chatting up friends and family or shaking it on the dance floor. It was such a fun night – all their guests had a blast. I have never seen so much spilt alcohol – a sure sign of a GOOD party! As the night came to a close we said farewell and sent Allie & Kane off to Thailand for their honeymoon.

Congrats you two – it was really a pleasure being with you. I could see the Love you have not only for each other but also for God. I could see the Lord’s hand in every working part of this day. My favorite part of the entire day was when Allie’s little sister asked me what my favorite wedding was. I responded all of them – each for different reasons. She wanted to know what my favorite part of this day was and it was a no brainer – God – I could see God in every part of this day. It was so amazing!

Chelsea & Spencer – Wedding Reception at the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum

Chelsea & Spencer hosted their reception at The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. We always love working there as the galleries are a super special treat to be able to photograph in. The couple walked the catwalk and down the grand stairs to the great hall at the Modern to kick off their reception with their first dance. The museum looked perfect with the soft pinks, whites and golds and I just loved the unique head table installation. After dinner and parent dances the band’s horn section led back into the cafe for a night of dancing and fun. Chelsea and Spencer spent much of the evening chatting up their guest, giving lots of hugs and never to far from each others sides. Congratulations you two! It was an amazing night and I am so happy we were able to be with you!

Becca and Drew – Wedding at University Christian & Colonial Country Club

January 27, 2015 Ceremony

Becca and Drew are our first couple of 2015 and what a great start for the year! These two love birds chose a winter wedding and they carried that theme beautifully through out the day. From midnight blue bridesmaids dresses to snowflakes on their cakes it was a cool and elegant day. It was definitely cool outside too as the January weather did not disappoint with some chilly temps and some rain on and off through out the day. We were lucky to snag just a little time outside with the couple for their first look before the ceremony and the rain began. Becca and Drew were so sweet during their first sight and you could just see the stress melt away as they were able to spend some time alone together. From wedding at University Christian Church over to The Colonial for the reception it was time to dance and mingle with friends and family! As the night came to an end they shared a private last dance which may have been my very favorite part of their day. Alone in their reception room I could just see how much Becca and Drew love one another, what a great start to their marriage! Congrats guys!

Michelle & Dustin – Wedding Reception at The Modern

The Modern is one of my favorite place to photograph – gorgeous architecture, sounded by world class art. I love it! I was so glad that we had a few stolen moments in the galleries and outside the museum to capture some images of Michelle & Dustin alone before their party kicked off! After these it was go go go and dance dance dance! Emerald City kept the floor packed ALL NIGHT with their high energy and amazing showman ship. Lush Couture Floral made the great hall come to life with gorgeous floral. I loved the unique set up with a centerpiece of seating and reserved tables for family anchoring the room and decor. Celebration de Lamour – A French Picnic styled photo shoot with Tami Winn Events and Brides of North Texas Magazine

This tabletop shoot was one to remember! I love when planners and designers think outside the box and Tami Winn definitely did with this French inspired picnic. The low ground level tables surrounded by posh pillows were so inviting. I adored the bold striped linens, the classic gold and pops of pink. Treats were provided by the Four Seasons Resort with a ruffled cake by Creme de la Creme. This sweet picnic took place with one of my real couples, Kristy & Jared, at the Four Seasons in Dallas Spa Poll Deck. This pocket of pretty green grass, surrounded by trees created a haven for our set and lovely couple. To add to the outdoor vibe we were joined by a little frenchie, a french bulldog that is, Bruiser. Bruiser is the pup of one Dallas’ best DJ’s, Glenn Roush. Travis & Richelle- Wedding at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Fort Worth with Preperations & First Look at The Omni Hotel

Oh my goodness how I LOVED this wedding. Richelle and Travis are the real deal, totally and madly in love and so much stinkin FUN! From the moment their eyes locked during the first look these two had my swooning all day. The photo above, just moments after their first glimpse was a favorite the moment I took it. Never underestimate a location, they were waiting on an elevator and I looked up, saw it, shot it, ahhhhh. Happy photographer. They also had me happy all day long with their great expressions and emotional connection with family and friends. SO much so that this will be a 2 parter. Too much LOVE for one post! There were some tears…..Becoming a bride can be overwhelming and I love it!

Look at that light, and calm spirit. Despite the tears Richelle held it together and all of it melted away when she saw Travis.

Kelly & Aaron – Wedding and Reception, Trophy Club Golf Club

Kelly and Aaron had a romantic wedding day at Most Blessed Sacrament in Arlington with a reception at the Trophy Club Country Club. I so enjoyed there day as it was full of emotion. These two really connected with their guests and family. Toasts were full of laughter and tears and the day was super charged with joy. It was so perfect and we felt so lucky to be a part of it. Kelly wore a beautiful gown from De Ma Fille Bridal Boutique in Fort Worth. These two had some awesome cakes, including an army helicopter cake from Creme de la Creme.
