Right before Christmas on one fabulously warm day I spent some time with Abbey & Dustin at the Dallas Arboretum & downtown Dallas. These two met working at the same law firm in Dallas. Their paths were meant to cross! They attended the University of Texas Austin together yet never met, after working for awhile though finally their paths crossed and they will be getting married in just a few months! Can’t wait for their wedding at the Adolphus.
Caroline and Taylor are completely adorable and I can’t wait for their wedding next spring. These two just stole my heart when I met them for their sunrise session this month. We had some beautiful light, bearable summer temperatures and a great time walking around a nearly deserted downtown Fort Worth. These two just packed up and moved to Austin for Caroline to finish medical school. Life is going to be a little busy in these months leading up to their wedding but they are together and I think that is all that matters. Caroline is sweet and a little serious while Taylor has the funny bone – together they make a pretty perfect pairing. Thanks for trusting me and allowing me to share in your lives!
This couple had me cracking up their entire session. They are the perfect example of lying and yang – complimenting one anthers personalities and strengths in every way. Chris loves to joke and laugh and he pulls Kayla to the lighter side of life and I can see that she is is rock, she grounds him and helps him with direction. It is always a joy to see such relationships where each is strong in their own way, together making a strong and unstoppable couple!
This couple met through gymnastics so we HAD to include a little spice into their shoot – scroll down to see some handstands and some jumping that is truly epic. I am not always a fan of such shenanigans in sessions as often it is just for show but for them it made sense. It was authentic and gave such a cute nod to how they became a couple. NOW, do you think I can get Kayla to perform some gymnastics in her gown?
I was on my knees asking God for a break in the rain for this one – Kayla is studying for her bar exam in a few months and her schedule is packed tight between studying and working. The Lord was good though and we had an overcast but rain free night for their session at the Kimball Art Museum and downtown Fort Worth & Sundance Square. Let’s hope we get lucky again with a beautiful day for their December wedding at Fort Worth Club.
Congrats and can’t wait to see you both again! (Good luck Kayla on your tests – you will ace them I am sure of it!)

Last Monday I spent the morning with this fantastic couple. Usually we do engagement sessions in the afternoon but Eugenia and Michael are planning their wedding under special circumstances and this was absolutely the ONLY time I could ever get them in to the studio. These two are both officers in the military currently stationed at Fort Hood. They have enlisted the help of wedding planner, Dayna Tooley, so that planning from afar would be easier for Eugenia. They came in town last weekend for another whirlwind planning weekend and met with me on Saturday, booked on Sunday then we shot engagement photos on Monday. They also nailed down their cake, DJ did a tasting at The Modern and a few other things. Michael is moving on to his next assignment, far from Texas, so these two will only see each other a few more times between now and their April wedding. I just adored them, their goofy sense of humors and how they love on one another. Here are some of my favorites and I can’t wait for the Fort Worth Wedding at The Modern next year!
