Taylor & Keaton – Engagement Photos in Fort Worth at Urban Walls & Trinity Park

Engagement-Session-Urban-Walls-Trinity-Park-Fort-Worth-Family-Portraits-Tracy-Autem-Photography-Taylor-Keaton

Oh, HOTNESS is about the only way to describe this couple.  I just fell in love with them from the moment they started interacting during this session.  Taylor & Keaton selected some fun urban walls and a more city cool style for their locations and I LOVE it!  It was great to get to check out some of my favorite local spots just down the street from my studio.  After some steamy romantics and some general silliness (these girl cracks me up!) we met up with Keaton’s kiddos at Trinity Park for a mini family shoot.  When a couple is getting married with kids it is so important to include them in all the festivities, even engagement photos.  Can’t wait for the wedding next year at The Piazza!  It is going to rock!

Judy & Shawn {Engaged} Dallas Avanti Fountain and Deep Ellum

Dallas Fort Worth Engagement Photographer Tracy Autem Avanti Fountain Deep Ellum We first met Judy and Shawn at a local wedding show and from that meeting I just loved their personalities and their wedding theme – peacock with a little bit of Irish charm.  Why Irish charm?  Because they are getting married on the luckiest day of the year, St. Patty’s Day!  We met up on a very blustery day for some fun by the Avanti Fountain in Dallas and then hit some of my favorite walls in Deep Ellum.  Judy and Shawn came armed with a variety of fun props with my favorite being a massive peacock tail…ok, we didn’t parade around down town with peacock feathers on our behinds but we used a few feathers from Judy’s friend’s peacock costume.  You had to see it to understand and OH how I wish I had the foresight to get a picture of me lugging it around.  We had a good time laughing and Judy had some great ideas for pictures and I was happy to oblige.  Best part of the session was Shawn REALLY wanting photos by orange doors, I love when groom’s have opinions and express them.  See you guys in a few short months!

Lyndsay & Brandon {Engaged} Downtown Fort Worth, Water Gardens & Urban Spots

Love the energy in the photo with their expressions and the wind kicking up Lyndsay’s hair!

Lyndsay and Brandon are two of the sweetest people I have ever met.  From the moment I picked up my camera Brandon was loving on her, fixing her hair and I can see that he is such a source of strength for her.  Affectionate grooms make my heart sing.  We went for a downtown city vibe for their shoot from hitting some historic buildings with an art deco vibe to some bright urban walls and a quick stop at the Water Gardens.  They will be getting married next April at Robert Carr Chapel & T&P Station, can’t wait!

Perfect kiss photo (once again helped out by the awesome wind!)

Lyndsay is all smiles when she is with Brandon

One of my faves from their shoot.  🙂

Sarah & Brian {Engaged Part 2} Destination engagement photography in Tucson, Arizona

Tuscon Engagement Dallas Fort Worth Wedding Photographer 4th Avenue Arts District DogsWe really had one action packed day and for the second part of Sarah & Brian’s engagement shoot in Tucson we hit up some elevation. It was interesting to drive up the mountain and to see the changes from dessert to evergreen forest. Up in top of mount Lemon we rode the ski lift, took in the views and took some photos of course. As a Texas girl I have to say it was cool to have a different environment to shoot in and even better that two could be found so close. At Brian’s request we also ran into a skating rink really quck for some photos, his smooth talking got us in for free and no charge on skate rental for the last 10 minutes they were open. After a rare storm the sunset was to die for so our last adventure took us out into the dessert. The sky was filled with pinks and oranges.

See you two later this fall for Sarah’s bridal portraits!

Sarah & Brian {Engaged Part 1} Destination Photography in Tucson, Arizona

I had such a fabulous time in Tucson last weekend with Sarah & Brian.  This couple lives in Tucson and I can’t wait to travel back next year for the wedding!  Sarah is an Arkansas native but lived in Texas for a few years and we became fast friends.  Life moved her on to Arizona where she met Brian who is a Tucson native and when he asked her to marry him while on a trip to Italy earlier this year Sarah thought of me for their wedding.  I am so glad she did as it was great to catch up with her after years of not seeing each other and Brian is a treat.  So many of my couples express that they are nervous and scared about photos, most warm up real quick and Brian was a good example.  By the end of the weekend Brian had thrown in his own ideas and been up for almost anything (he is my kinda guy, Sarah you did good!)  Destination shoots are special in that the two hour, two outfit rules do not apply and we mostly just have fun, hang out and explore.  Part 1 of their rocking session includes our early morning trip to 4th Avenue in Tucson (to avoid the afternoon heat) and our post rain shower walk with their fur babies:  Sadie, Jackson, Coda.  Can’t wait to share more later this week as we explored Mt. Lemon, invaded a skating rink for a quick few photos and enjoyed a dessert sunset.

Kirsten & Ryan {Engaged} Hay Field, laundromat and urban locales

FUN.  I know I overuse that word but it is the best word I can possibly think of to describe this couple.  They are going to have one amazing life together filled with laughter because both Kirsten and Ryan have fabulously silly personalities that make me bubble up with excitement.  When I met Kirsten after they booked me (yep, they booked on the phone after being told they had to have me so we never met until a few weeks before their engagement session) I knew her wedding is one that I will be exhausted after for all the right reasons.  They are getting married next June at City Club Fort Worth and will be utilizing both the Oak Room (ceremony) and the Ballroom (for their all night killer party!)  We met up on a morning when the temperatures are significantly cooler this time of year and explored some locales not far from my home.  Kirsten and Ryan showed up with Shiner-bock beer in hand as a prop for their country field look and some silly glasses with their date on the side for their urban look.  I love when clients trust me and when I suggested a laundromat Kirsten was totally game.  I am glad they were because the above photo makes me REALLY happy. 🙂  When these two met they were not friends, in fact Ryan made her cry (she was already crying but he sure didn’t help.)  Years later they met up again and things clicked and they have been inseparable ever since.  See you two soon!

Christina & Mason {Engaged} Fort Worth Urban session in the South Side

For my last photo shoot of 2010 I met up with Christina & Mason for their engagement session.  They are getting married in just a few short weeks in February with a candle lit ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel and a reception at City Club Fort Worth.  I can’t wait, especially after spending time with these two!

Christina and Mason dated in high school and have had an on/off relationship ever since and thankfully now it is fully on and they are walking down the aisle.  It makes complete sense to me after just a few hours with these two.  They are completely goofy and silly with one another and extremely sweet.  I love how Christina plays with his hair and how they just giggle all the time (Mason giggles in a very masculine way though.)  It was a huge compliment that Christina selected me for her photography as she has a degree in photography (Her sister does too!) and is teaching elementary art and hopes to pursue photography professionally in the future.  It is always a trip when I get to use technical words during a shoot and know that a client gets what I am doing.

You two were the icing on the cake for 2010 and the most perfect session to start the new year on the blog!  See you both in February!

Tracy Clegg – {Photographer Headshots}

It is always such a pleasure to photograph another photographer.  It is so hard for us to step in front of the camera and I am glad that Tracy trusted me to capture her. She is a budding photographer and needed photos of herself to include on her website and marketing pieces.  It was great to get to know you and chat with you about your future in photography.  Best of luck and let me know if I can help you in any way!
