Ragan – Bridal Portrait at Dallas ArboretumDallas, Texas

Ragan & Alex’s Fort Worth wedding was one for the books!  Their classic wedding had so many fun elements and was a night to remember at the Fort Worth Zoo.  For Ragan’s bridals we photographed at the Dallas Arboretum for it’s whimsical and beautiful gardens.  Ragan’s soft blush gown with floral detailing was so dreamy amidst the greenery and structures there.  She was so fun to photography – she would of twirled like a little girl all day in this gown!  Who can blame her, it moves so elegantly and adds texture with every shift.  The apron style skirting allows a pica boo of different layers.  Ragan’s striking dark hair and lovely skin reminds me of Snow White!

Callie – Bridal Portrait at Meyerson Symphony CenterDallas, Texas

Callie was a stunning bride and her dress was one of my favorites this year due to its unique silhouette.  Over the top of her stunning and sleek gown with lace detailing on the bodice Callie wore a horse hair skirt that added volume and texture that made me so happy!  Photographing this gown was so fun!  Thanks Callie for trusting me to be part of your wedding.  Your day was perfect and you and Ryan are just so darling!  I wish I could go back and celebrate with you both again!

Laura & Dave – Wedding Portraits at Highland Park UMC & George W. Bush CenterDallas, Texas

These two are just head over heels in love – Read on about their proposal story if you want to know just how sweet Dave is and how much Laura loves him – so much so that the ring didn’t even register – she just said YES!!!

“So early afternoon on Easter Sunday 2017, we went to UT’s campus. Being an A&M grad, I wasn’t too excited to walk around UT’s campus “just for fun”, but after hearing all of Dave’s stories about his time on the newspaper staff and the tower I knew it was important to him. We started off the “tour” in the parking garage of the UT Co-Op (huge store with all UT gear, clothing, books, etc.), but to Dave’s disappointment, they were closed since it was Easter. While waiting for the elevator to go the ground floor, I stuck one of my hands down his side pockets to keep my hand warm (as I had done in the past), but he jerked my hand out super fast —— but not before one of my fingers had grazed something that slightly felt like an edge of the bottom of a ring. It took me a few seconds to process what had happened, but once I realized what I MIGHT have felt, I started to freak out internally.

From there we took a tour around UT’s campus, walking through their student center, going by his freshman year dorm, trying to get up into the Tower library, etc…. Since it was Easter Sunday though, everything was basically closed, so we probably took about 7 restroom breaks in a span of 30 minutes — partially because he was trying to stall, but then also because I was trying to calm myself down and convince myself he wasn’t about to propose (because why would he do that to an Aggie on UT’s campus)…oh little did I know.

Unbeknownst to me, he had told his brother the day before that he was going to propose and that he wanted for him to help capture pictures of him getting down on one knee. I found out later that he initially had wanted his brother to be hidden to capture “surprise” pictures, but since we were “so ahead of schedule”, Dave ended up telling me that we were just going to be meeting his brother at the tower around 1:00pm to take him to lunch. So, as we walk up to the tower, I see his brother decked our in all black clothing and a wide brimmed fishing hat. I was still in denial and decided that his brother was just someone who had very interesting fashion choices. Dave asked if we could take a few pictures in front of the tower just to show that I had been on UT’s campus” and I had even said “Sure, as long as you don’t post them anywhere for other people to see.” (jokes on me). Obviously halfway through the pictures he knelt down, asked me to marry him, and I said yes to becoming Mrs. Player without any hesitation.

My favorite part of our proposal video is how I immediately say “YES!” and kiss Dave as soon as he finished saying “Will you marry me?” (maybe even a second before he does), but then Dave responds by saying: “YOU DIDN’T EVEN LOOK AT THE RING!” Which to be fair, all i cared about was getting to marry him, so who can blame me!”

Jackie – Bridal Portraits at Dallas Meyerson Symphony CenterDallas, Texas

I have been dying to share this bridal portrait.  Jackie is so super sweet,  I just love spending time with her and her entire wedding day look was just stunning.  Jackie found her dress at Stanley Korshak and it was designed by Isabelle Armstrong.  I love the bold lace details, edging and fitted bodice.  It is light and airy and ever so intricate.  Her textured bouquet with anemone’s and pops of pink by Tami Winn brought in a bit of depth to her look.  I always love photographing at the Meyerson – the light bright and airy feel of this venue is a favorite and it’s modern clean lines were the perfect backdrop to Jacqueline’s dress.  Makeup and hair by Quynh Nguyen Yip.

Brooklyn – Bridal Portrait at Bass HallFort Worth, Texas

Bass Hall was the perfect location for Brooklyn’s bridal portraits as her wedding was just across the street at McDavid Studio and the Van Cleburne Recital Hall.  The light bright whites of the space made her detailed gown with textured skirt stand out.  Brooklyn is a gorgeous girl with a big heart and a stunning smile.  She came to work with me through  a friends referral and although we only chatted on the phone before her bridal session I already felt so connected to her.  It was awesome to meet her in person and get to know her a bit before her wedding day.  She found her wedding dress at Bliss Bridal Salon in Fort Worth.

Amy – Bridal Portrait at Union StationDallas, Texas

Amy was a stunning bride!  I loved her airy and soft skirted gown with corseted detailing on the top.  Amy and Bryce’s wedding will be hitting the blog this week but as I put the finishing touches on her wedding images I had to share these gorgeous bridals.  Amy looked amazing thanks to Rayven with Beauty and the Blush – she always does such a beautiful job on hair and makeup for my clients.  One of my faves!  Amy’s cascading bouquet by A Stylish Soiree with greenery and some loose leaves and textured floral perfectly accented the shape and feel of her gown.  We photographed her bridals at Union Station – the location of her wedding reception and I just adore this outdoor terrace area there.  It is so pretty!

Check back later this week for more from Amy’s wedding!

Annie – Bridal PortraitsFort Worth, Texas

I have been waiting to share these – Annie is on  my team with Lightly Photography.  She is one of  my associate photography team and is a sweet friend whom I love like a little sis.  We arranged for a special location for her bridal session – The Modern Art Museum.  It is typically not available for sessions due to the restrictions of the artwork and insurers so if you are crushing on these photos I hate to tell you that your only ticket into this museum for photos is to have your wedding there.  Annie loves the clean lines and modern architecture of the building with the soaring glass windows.  We played with reflections and movement and used natural light to capture these bridal portraits.  Annie purchased her gown at Classy Concepts in Mansfield and her Bouquet is by her Mother – Bridal Blooms & Justine’s Flowers.  Hair and makeup by Fallon Farmer with Love & Pout.

Leigh – Bridal Portrait at The Dallas ArboretumDallas, Texas

Leigh is a gorgeous bride!  Her lace gown with a plunging back and neckline was amazing!  I am loving these new illusion styles that expose yet cover and make dresses so sensual yet sophisticated.  Leigh is a sweet girl and I loved hanging out with her and her Mom at the bridal session at The Dallas Arboretum.  Her veil added some drama and when paired with the light wind we had some perfect moments.  Her bouquet was loose and lush in whites and greens and the simplicity of the color palette complemented her overall look.

Britny – Bridal Portraits at Meyerson Symphony CenterDallas, Texas

Britny is a stunner – like I am super jealous of her flawless skin and gorgeous eyes!  Britny and Aman had a 2 day wedding event with a traditional Indian wedding followed by a more contemporary ceremony the next day.  Britny looked like a princess both days though and I love her Lace cap sleeved gown from Bliss Bridal with cathedral length veil.  Her hair, pulled to one side, just made her look feel like old hollywood and oh so glamourous.  Her bright and colorful bouquet had so much texture and reflected the fun and elegant vibe that her wedding had.  Tami Winn always knocks it out of the park on flowers!  For her bridals we selected the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas for its light bright and airy architecture with clean and modern lines.  Although a contemporary space it is elegant and classic and one of my very favorite places to photograph brides!  Even on a rainy day this place is heaven inside for light!

Megan – Bridal Portraits at Chandor GardensWeatherford, Texas

Megan was a GORGEOUS bride and as her wedding just hit the newsstands in the newest Brides of North Texas Magazine I thought it was perfect timing to share her garden bridal session from last summer.  Megan is a sweetie and oh so fun to be around – her dress definitely showed off her personality with it sweet and sparkly detailing and volume filled skirt with attitude!  This  mixture of classic and modern clean lines complimented her wedding to Dylan at Robert Carr Chapel on the TCU campus with a reception at The Modern Art Museum.  The open back dress with sparkly straps was purchased at Nordstrom Wedding Suite.

You can see more of Megan and her purple wedding here.
