McKenzie and Bobby’s wedding day was proof that you don’t have to shy away from color to create something timeless.

After a beautiful ceremony at First United Methodist Church, guests gathered at the Fort Worth Club for a reception layered in rich, mixed shades of green. Bridesmaids wore flattering tones of green, the Mother of the Bride stunned in emerald, and sage accents throughout the ballroom tied everything together seamlessly.

Here’s the thing: green is surprisingly flattering on almost everyone. And when you lean into it—rather than trying to tone it down—it creates depth, cohesion, and a look that feels both bold and elegant.

Classic white details grounded the design: a vintage-inspired five-tier cake and a stylish monogrammed white dance floor brought balance to the vibrant palette. The combination felt refined, not trendy. Elevated, not overpowering.

And then… the surprise.

A high-energy reception cameo from Victor E. Green, the beloved Dallas Stars mascot, brought the party to life in the most unforgettable way. His epic green look? Perfectly on brand.

Rather than fighting the existing sage tones of the Fort Worth Club, McKenzie embraced them. Playing off your venue’s natural colors is one of the easiest ways to create a cohesive design that stands out—in the very best way—while still feeling timeless.
