Spencer first met Sarah on Halloween night, striking up a conversation about her Riverdale cheerleader costume. Though Sarah wasn’t single at the time, she never forgot Spencer’s humor—or his height! Years later, in the middle of the pandemic, they reconnected with a long walk along the Trinity Trails and a picnic on the lawn. Despite the unusual dating circumstances, they found ways to grow closer and fall in love. Fittingly, Spencer proposed on Halloween 2023, surprising Sarah with what she thought was just another picnic date.
For their wedding, Sarah and Spencer blended their love for literature, art, and history into an unforgettable celebration at the Amon Carter Museum of American Art & Sundance Square in Fort Worth. Their décor was rich in personality, with florals woven into art pieces, baroque-inspired details, and whimsical touches like book displays and fruit tucked into arrangements. Sarah wore a custom gown with detachable sleeves and a dramatic overskirt, transforming into a sleek slip dress on the dance floor without missing a beat. From Botticelli-inspired seating charts to meaningful blessings from Sarah’s great Tia, every detail told their story. Sarah shared this advice with future couples: “Stay by your partner’s side the entire night. It’s so easy to get pulled in different directions, but the night is about the two of you—together.”
