Sydney and Zach kicked off their wedding weekend with a western-themed rehearsal dinner at Lonesome Dove in the Fort Worth Stockyards — the perfect way to spend a cool December night. They actually held their rehearsal right there at the restaurant, so we got to capture their sweet practice run-through before they turned around and mingled with all their guests.
Sydney broke from tradition in the best way, trading the expected white for a cute black dress, boots, and a cowboy hat. Zach matched her energy in denim, a blazer, boots, and a black hat of his own. The two of them looked right at home in the Stockyards, and their western style set the tone for the whole evening.
After a delicious dinner — because Lonesome Dove never disappoints — the night rolled into toasts, and there was no shortage of laughter. Those speeches from the people who know you best are always some of my favorite moments to photograph, and Sydney and Zach’s crowd did not hold back.
It was a warm, fun, unmistakably Texas start to their wedding weekend, and it left us even more excited for their big day at Hotel Drover. Congratulations, Sydney and Zach!
