Lindsey and Colin are married!  I adored working this couple.  Lindsey is so sweet and Colin is a character.  These two had me smiling all day!  We met up at their church, Highland Park Presbyterian, in Dallas for getting ready and their ceremony.  This couple chose to see each other before the wedding so we could take care of all their formal photography ahead of time and they could head straight to the party!  As we set Lindsey up in the courtyard so Colin could walk out to her it started to sprinkle but God was good and held off the rain so we could do all of our outside portraits.  I think they had a pretty perfect day with the help of After Yes wedding planners.  Check back tomorrow for their reception at The Room On Main!

Kelsey and Matthew are blissfully married and I could not be happier for them.  Their day was full of emotion and sweet moments that made me over the moon.  Above is one of my most favorite parts of their wedding day.  A trend in wedding photography right now is to have a private moment with the groom before the wedding BUT staying true to tradition and not seeing each other.  Kelsey & Matt choose to share notes as they stood on either side of the door.  It was perfect, they talked, giggled, you could see their nervous excitement and my favorite comment was “I’m ready to get married.”  I think this one image sets the tone for their day and their marriage.  See below for some other precious moments from their preparations and ceremony.  Tomorrow check back for the romantics, reception and slide show.

Matt is a clever man, he came up with a whole new tradition.  A BRO ROW.  What is that?  It is the equivalent of house party for the ladies but this dapper group of young men took seats of honor right behind his family to support their friends vows.

Matt – you are a BAD groom.  You are not supposed to kiss her until AFTER the wedding.  I love that he was so overwhelmed and excited that he forgot tradition and went with his heart.

Matt’s Uncle married the couple which I love.  It means SO much more when you have a genuine connection with your officiant.

Eugenia and Michael are a very special couple.  They both serve our country in the US Army and met while stationed abroad.  This month they were finally married which means soon they will be able to be stationed together and no longer stationed states away from each other.  For their wedding they selected Fort Worth since no matter what their families would have to travel and Eugenia would need to plan some where other than she was stationed.  This difficult task was made much easier by the help of Dayna Tooley, event planner and coordinator, who helped with every detail.  On the day of the wedding we met up at The Embassy Suites in down town Fort Worth for preparations.  Eugenia is one lucky girl with a whole beauty team in her family.  Her Mother did her hair and her sister helped with make up for her and most of the bridesmaids.  Definitely an easy team to trust!

Once the gown was on we headed over to the Fort Worth Botanical Garden for the couples first look and ceremony.  Tomorrow I will be sharing their first moments together on the wedding day as well as some of the fabulous portraits we were able to take with all the time this allows us.  They were married in the Rose Garden, Eugenia pictured something outside and flowering for her wedding and this is one of the first things they selected.  The reception was more Michael’s vision, the Fort Worth Modern. More of their fun, dance filled party later this week!  The weather could not have been more perfect and the clouds rolled in just moments before the ceremony making the light so perfect.  I adored their traditional broom jumping, fist pumping celebration as they walked out of the wedding and the sweet moment with Michael’s Grandfather as he welcomed Eugenia to the family.

Veronica & Robert were married last weekend and Sarah Rizy and I just had an amazing time with them.  They had a mid-afternoon wedding at St Andrews Episcopal followed by a sit down dinner at City Club Fort Worth were everyone had a great time.  I think by the end of the day we had all cried just a bit as it was such a touching day with beautiful and funny toasts, parent dances and just an amazing amount of love between these two families.  Veronica and Robert were high school sweethearts and have been together about 8 years so it was most definitely a day all had looked forward to for a long time.  Many of my couples have late afternoon and evening weddings but I always love early weddings as it allows for very different light through out the day.  Because of the timing we had plenty of time to snag some photos outside the church and off Lancaster by a historic building before heading to the reception.  We ended their day with a few photos as the sun was starting to set in a field in Fort Worth after the getaway.  Then Robert whisked Veronica off to a secret location for their first night as husband and wife before heading out on their honeymoon.  Here are some beautiful moments and romantics from their daytime wedding!

Married!

Lacy & Gabe were married last Saturday out in East Texas in Sulphur Springs.  I had so much fun at this country wedding and I just adore this couple.  This week I am trying something new with my wedding post and splitting it up into two.  This post will focus on the moments and the details and part two will be all about the couple.  This is how the day is split up to me and so I thought why not post it that way!  I love capturing the things that happens, anticipating the moment and getting the reaction.  These photos tell the story of the day and speak to the emotion of the special people at the wedding.  Details are all about the things that express the couple and the things that they spent so much time thinking about leading up to the wedding.

Lacy and her girls prepped at a amazing home that her friends parents own.  It looked like an old barn and was filled to the brim with eclectic antiques and decor that made my head spin, in a good way.  I wish we had more time there to take advantage of it but the locations all day were killer and did not disappoint.  The wedding was held at the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park. The ceremony was in a quaint little chapel and the rest of the park…WOW!  So many little vignettes (that is photographer speak for locations) that you will see more of in their romantics post.  Then we trekked further east into the country for a honky tonk reception in Mount Vernon at the Trey-Deuce Domino Saloon complete with a good ol country band.  Everyone was so relaxed and chill, Gabe even changed into something a tad more comfortable than his tux and donned his jeans and boots.  It was such an amazing day and I am so lucky to have been a part of it.
