Katie & Nicholas – Wedding Reception at the Fort Worth Omni Hotel Ballrooms

The ballroom at The Omni Hotel in Fort Worth was breathtaking and this photo above from the couples private last dance at the end of their evening shows off SO much of the beauty of their day.  It highlights the amazing lighting and decor as well as their closeness, pretty darn cool!  Once we arrived at the Omni the celebration was in full effect and Tami Winn and her team had set a backdrop that was flawless and elegant with winter whites and vibrant reds for this December wedding.  Once the couple hit the room it was full of laughter and chatter and the dance floor stayed packed as everyone hit the floor to party!  It was so sweet to see everyone, young and old, enjoying the festivities.  Read on for more about their night and of course their wedding day highlights slide show:

A HUGE thanks to Tami Winn Events!  She is flawless and working with her is always fun for us and her clients.  She also does a great job at building an all start vendor team including:

Bliss Bridal

The Cake Guys

Dallas String Quartet – Dinner Music

Cody Schwartz – Saxophone Sololist – Cocktail Hour

Kimberly & Mark {Engaged} TCU Library and downtown Fort Worth

I adored this couple from the moment we met and Kimberly said that after meeting me no one else compared and she had to make it happen.  I am so glad she did and a big thanks to her Grandma for encouraging her to work with me because I just love this couple!  Kimberly and Mark are currently doing the long distance thing as she is in medical school in Houston and he is working up here but hopefully she will be up here for residency very soon.  I have a ton of couples that met through their time in school and this couple is no different, meeting at the TCU library.  When they told me that I knew it was the perfect place for some photos as well as around campus.  Kimberly brought along their two doggies as well dressed as a bride and groom!  Kim actually made the veil herself and the dogs were more obedient than my dog would ever be (thanks to our dog wrangling team! Amanda on my staff and Kim’s Mom, Grandma and little bro).  We finished up down town by the awesome flat iron building and a few spots by sun dance square that I love.

Can’t wait to see you guys again!

Audra & Matt {Married Part 2 – Romantic Portraits & Reception} Christ Chapel Church & Ashton Depot

Audra & Matt’s reception was smashing and so fun.  Randy Ro Entertainment provided great tunes to dance to and mood lighting as well as a photo booth that the guest had way to good of time in.  The food by Ashton Depot was amazing as always, one of my favorite places for food and the vintage ambiance.   The Cake Guys made a show stopping cake and Audra’s Dad surprised the couple with a vintage car from Romantic Remembrances.  The white elegant decor by Tami Winn Events made the room perfection.  It was a spectacular night and Sarah Halferty and I had a great time celebrating with them.  I wish you both all the best!

Eugenia & Michael {Married Part 3 – Details & Reception} Fort Worth Modern Art Museum & Botanic Gardens

The reception is when the FUN happens and it is also where we get to see the hard work of Eugenia & Michael’s team.  I fell completely in love with the purple motif created in the grand lobby and cafe modern by Philip Combs Designs, Dayna Tooley Events, Specialty Sound & MM Special Events.  The floral was smart and crisp and the repetition of the sliver branches that mimicked the sculpture on the grounds was ingenious.  The lounge furniture and purple up-lighting gave the cafe the ultimate swanky feeling.  The food by The Modern was delicious as always and Eugenia, Michael and their guests and a fabulous time dancing the night away.  The yummy cake was by Creme de la Creme.

Eugenia & Michael {Married Part 2 – First Look & Portraits} Fort Worth Modern Art Museum & Botanic Gardens

There are two things I  LOVE, love, LOVE to photograph.  Breathtaking romantic portraits and moments that happen once and give me goose bumps.  First looks make both these things happen and are there fore my favorite thing.  NOW, they are not for everyone.  In fact most of my brides and grooms are quite traditional and opt to see each other for the first time when her Daddy gives her away.  For my brides that are a bit modern and don’t feel married to tradition it is an opportunity like no other.  Complete privacy when she is unveiled as a bride and time to talk, hug, kiss and be excited with no prying eyes (except my lens.)  Eugenia and Michael choose to see each other behind the Rose Garden at the Botanic Garden on a less traveled path for some intimacy.  I just glowed, almost as much as Micheal, when they embraced and cheesed it up at each other.  What happened after was ample time to play in the gardens, photograph the families and bridal party as well time at the Fort Worth Modern.  The Modern is truly a treat to photograph at, how can it not be?  Surrounded by world class architecture and modern works of art… is definitely my cup of tea.  It is also a one of a kind shoot as ONLY couples having their wedding reception are allowed to take photos in the galleries.  Come back by tomorrow to see their highlights slide show as well as their details and reception blog!

Bethany & Rob {Married} A Fort Worth Wedding and Reception at City Club

Bethany & Rob’s wedding was a day I will not likely forget.  I become very bonded emotionally to my clients and I truly experienced every moment of their day with them.  My eyes were full of tears and my face was plastered with a permanent smile, these two just do that to me.  I am so lucky to do what I do and love every moment of it.  Here is their wedding day:

Bethany and her girls prepared at her sister’s home in Fort Worth.

All girls know, red soles = amazing wedding day shoes.

Checking out her gown from Bliss Bridal in Fort Worth, she looked amazing!

Rob and his crew of men watched football and prepared at The Renaissance Worthington in Fort Worth.

Love this glance between Rob and his Mom right before Bethany entered the church, so sweet.

A stolen chat while at the altar.

One very proud Daddy.

A moment alone at the Unity Candle. You can see it, they just LOVE one another.

So I completely fell apart in this tiny room with the newly married couple.  As they rejoiced, hugged, showed off her gown and talked for the first time all day I was a soppy mess.  It was so genuine and perfect and my favorite thing, Rob pulling Bethany close again and again because he just wanted to be close to his wife.

Oh yeah, rings to prove the nuptials!

Loved all of Bethany’s super simple and elegant calla lilies by Tami Winn Events

For their first dance they had a guitarist sing a country song.

I love the relationships these two have with their parents.

Rob showing off his moves….

A special moment with Rob and his Grandmother at the reception.

The couple on the balcony of City Club Fort Worth

These two and their guest had a fabulous time dancing to the tunes by Professor D (Even I danced along as I photographed! It was THAT good.)

Brandi & TJ {Engaged Part 1} Urban fun with a cup o’ joe

This session was Fun with a major capital F because I just adored each and every moment of it.  I have know the groom, TJ, for about a decade.  He started cutting my hair when I was in college (back then it was super short and very Audrey Hepburn) and I have always loved his off the wall personality.  I was so glad to hear he had found his perfect match in Brandi.  She matches him in quirkiness and has a love for movies (including Star Wars) so when they called about their wedding photography I was jumping up and down with joy.

Last week I finally got to hang out with them and we did tons of super neat stuff.   We started their session with an urban vibe and then celebrated their love of coffee at The Usual.  I know, that is not a coffee shop but a bar but it had the perfect vibe and atmosphere.  If you are ever on Magnolia Ave and in need of a cocktail I highly recommend it.  More from their session soon!

Monica & Steven {Engaged} Fort Worth Urban & Hay Bales

fort worth engagement photographer hay bales country field grass tracy autem

Friday evening I ran around town with these two love birds and had a blast getting to know them a little better and exploring a new location.  Monica’s one request for her session was hay bales and we got SUPER lucky as the field right by my house was cut and baled the weekend before their session.  I love the tall grass there, the light and that when there are hay bales there are TONS of them.  It was so perfect and just in time as they started hauling them off the following Monday.  We also hit some of my favorite urban spots by the studio as well as a brand new location I found with tons of cool walls and staircases all on the same street.  Love when I find new places just in time for a session.  I just loved the entire session but since I can’t post 100 photos on my blog with out looking excessive here are my favorite 20!

Stacey & Matt {Engaged}

Stacey and Matt are SUPER hot and amazing.  I had a ton of fun running around Fort Worth with them last Friday evening.  We took a series of mini dates at TIlman’s Restaurant, the Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and a few of my own favorite spots. Stacey brought some bright balloons to play with and I just loved her stylish one shouldered purple dress.  (I do have a fascination with one shouldered dresses right now.)  I can’t wait to see you guys at your sisters wedding in December (yep, photographing 2 sisters getting married 4 months apart!) and then just around the  corner at your wedding in March!  A few (if you can call 20+ images a few) of my many favorites.

Lindsey & Jason – Engaged Part 2 {A Picnic}

For the second part of Lindsey & Jason’s engagement session we headed down to Trinity Park and had a picnic!  Lindsey brought lots of cute props and my favorite, J Rae’s cupcakes!  Yum.  We played some guitar, had lemonade and read love poems.  THEN we headed down town to end the day.  It was fun filled, packed with cool things and I LOVE the results.  Here is part 2 of their session and a slide show of highlights!
