Today on my portrait studio’s site you can see precious Addy’s 6 month portraits. I loved having the chance to photograph this sweet girl again and to hang out with her parents. Her Mommy and Daddy were one of my couples a few years ago and I still remember their perfect wedding day. Their ministers preached like it was a battle (2 ministers = a very long ceremony) and the sunlight outside the chapel as they exited and embraced. It was a good day and they have continued to have many good days now that they have moved into the next phase of their lives. To see more about Megan & Austin and little Addy check out the Lightly Photography, Fort Worth Baby Photographer Blog!
We have been doing a TON of family sessions lately for the holiday season. Check out my most recent, the Williams family. We did their session at the McKinney Cotton Mill. To see more head on over the Lightly Photography Blog where you can always find my non-wedding related portrait work as well as my fabulous associate team.
Addison is a super model in training and she just rocked it and so much fun in front of my camera. We played, climbed on EVERYTHING and captured her at this wonderful age. I can’t wait to meet her big brother this Fall for his birthday portraits and some family shots for their holiday card. See you guys in a few months!
I am often out west in San Angelo, Texas. It is my home town and most of my family still lives there. I love my San Angelo clients and it is always fun to shoot in some of the cool urban locations that the city offers. Peggy is a good friend of my Mom’s and I was excited to meet her 3 adorable grandchildren. She had all 3 of them in town for the weekend so she wanted to capture them together at these great ages. Macie & Camden are brother and sister and Hazel is their little cousin. These kids were all completely unique and we had a ton of fun playing together in the morning heat. Here are some of my favorites! Can’t wait for my next chance to shoot some San Angelo portraits!
I am so very excited to share these photos. Miles is just a sweet little bundle of perfection and he happens to be a member of our studio family. He is Sarah Rizy’s nephew! Miles along with his parents and big sister, Audrey, hung out with me at the studio for some photos together. Audrey tried to steal the show because she is A-Dorable but I think Miles still stole my heart. Here are some favorites and I can’t wait to see these little ones grow!
Most of my clients and readers know I was out of town last week. Nope, not a end of summer vacation. It was a business trip. I am super lucky that for me a business trip is the most fun thing in the world because I get to do what I love. No, I wasn’t shooting a wedding in some super cool place. I was taking time out to exercise my brain, learn from some fantastic photographers and shoot some kids and families! I am a firm believer that education can never end and that in order to continue loving what I do and ensuring that you love it too I have to continuously learn new things.
Weddings are most definitely the cornerstone of Tracy Autem & Lightly Photography but we also love to do portraits. This year I fell in love with photographing families because my husband and I had our first baby. It has thrown an entire new dynamic into my life and into the way that I see children and parents. This workshop in Atlanta allowed me to see portraits in some new lights with some great photographers including: Liana Lehman, Amber Horlitz, Heather Essian, Garrett Nudd & Alice Park. Each were so different, some very far from what I do and others really close to how I approach my clients. We had some classroom time and then the best part, shooting! We had “models” that were real life families from all over the city. They came to one house with 30 photographers and these kids did great. I don’t do well with one camera pointed at me so I was super impressed with them and their parents. Here are some favorite photos from the model sessions.
Lori works with one of my amazing brides, Ruth. After seeing their engagement photos she called me up to schedule photos at their Fort Worth Ranch Home that very day. I was so excited to get to know the fabulous family, see their home, meet their dogs and have some fun with them. A family of 6 with 2 girls and 2 boys that are growing up fast. They had not had photos taken of them as a group in 5 years and I loved looking at their last set of photos and seeing how they had grown. They definitely needed an update! Here are some favorites of them as a group, individuals and of course a few cute one of Mom and Dad. I love couples and taking photos of two people in love, even if they have been married awhile. I hope to photograph this family again soon and to be a part of their lives as they continue to grow and change.
This week I caught up with the Hill family for a studio mini session of their little man, Colton. He is turning 2 this week and my oh my has he grown since our last family shoot before the holidays. He is having a monkey themed party this upcoming weekend and I know Mom is dying for some photos before the big party so here are some of my favorites from their Fort Worth portrait session.
A few weeks ago I met Owen for his newborn session at the Dillion house. Dad and sister were out that day so I was so excited when Mom, Jessica, called wanting to do a family session before the holidays. Owen has grown and gotten even cuter and kept those baby blues like I hoped he would. Big sis, Laura, is ah-mazing. She is cute as a button with the freckles, curls and a huge heart for her baby brother. This session was also really fun for me because we did something I have been wanting to for awhile, we shot right out side the studio! For many of our family sessions we shoot at their home or at a locations through out the area but I have been dying to do a more urban looking shoot like we do for so many of our engagment session. Jessica and her family trusted me and I think it turned out awesome. Here some favorite shots, it was hard to narrow them down!
These two little girls steal my heart every time I photograph them. I can’t believe little Lucia has gotten so big, I have been photographing her since birth! Valerie & Sal have the best 2 girls and they are expecting a third child early next year, I can’t wait to get to meet the new addition and I think Aurelia has got the big sister thing down by now. Here are some favorites from their family session this year at the art museums in Fort Worth.
