This wedding was near and dear to my heart as it was my second wedding with the Bride’s family. A little over a year ago I photographed Mallory’s sisters wedding so I felt right at home with her parents, brother and grandma. Although I may have been meeting Ryan’s family for the first time they were SO sweet and made me feel like I’ve known them for ever. My strong attachment to them meant narrowing down photos for them has been HARD!!! So in conclusion I will be sharing 2 blogs of this awesome Robert Carr wedding and Stonegate Mansion Reception.
I met up with Mallory and her gang of girls for preparations at Stonegate Mansion where we were joined by the hair and make up team of Halo Salon. After Mallory slipped into her gown we headed to the chapel for her wedding. After the Mom’s were seated they joined hands and walked to the altar to light the unity candles. I knew it would be emotional and from the first moment those doors opened to reveal Mallory and her Dad, Ken, my heart beat faster. Behind me I know Ryan’s must have been booming in his chest too as he grinned as she walked down the aisle towards him. I loved that through out the day Mallory was always hugging on her Dad, from giving her away to right after the ceremony as she cried as he held her.
Today I also wanted to share a few of Mallory’s bridal portraits that we took a few months ago at the Gaylord and Lake Grapevine. Bridals are one of my favorite things and it was so great to spend the afternoon with her and her Mom, Stacey. Keep a look out for Part 2 with their romantic portraits, more details and a reception that rocked thanks to Randall Stout Entertainment!
