Lauren & Doug had a pretty fantastic day – it rained – oh how it rained. But through it all these two said I do and they are married. It was a day I will never forget and I am truly happy with the images we created.
The entire day our fingers were crossed and prayers were being said about the chance of rain that had spiked suddenly that morning. As we prepared at The Warwick Melrose for the wedding we were all watching the storm clouds. Upon arrival at Arlington Hall the sun came out and we had some glorious light as we quickly got Lauren & Doug ready for the big reveal. I loved Doug’s face when he turned to see his bride – so beautiful and lit by the mid day sun. God gave us a beautiful hour of light and sun and then the rain came back. We were not defeated though, we tried to hold the ceremony outdoors but after one failed attempt and allot of wet guests we moved on to an early cocktail hour. While the bride & groom visited with guests the all star vendor team moved a beautiful flower draped huppa to the portico of Arlington Hall. It was perfectly imperfect in every way and the ceremony that followed was full of laughter and love like I have never seen. The unexpected reveals, and for Lauren & Doug it revealed the deepness of their love, family & friends and that no matter the circumstances we were all there to celebrate them! The interfaith rabi did a great job lightning the mood and marrying these two.
Congrats Lauren & Doug!
This rainy day wedding would not have been pulled off without the AMAZING team of rockstar wedding vendors. I was so truly blessed to have these amazing people by my side to make sure Lauren’s day was perfect!
