Jordan & Seth – Engagement Portraits at Turtle Creek & White Rock Lake

Jordan & Seth are planning a Fort Worth wedding because it’s where their story started but since they are living in Dallas we met up there for engagement photos. It was so fun to get to know them, hear about how they have build a life in Dallas together with their puppy (who was deemed too crazy to attend our session.) I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Madeline & Andrew – Engagement Session at Chandor Gardens & Private Ranch

Weatherford, Texas

Had the best time with Madeline & Andrew in Weatherford for their engagement session. We had to reschedule a few times due to all the spring rain but 3rd time was a charm! Andrew’s family has a home in Weatherford and it has been a place that these two have spent time since the first week of their relationship. It was the perfect spot to photograph their engagement session. We paired the ranch with Chandor Gardens for some classic green backdrops. Loved getting to know them, love on their pups and explore Andrew’s ranch. So perfect and glad we ended up with such a great day. Can’t wait for their winter wedding next year!

Brooke & Kyle – Engagement Session at The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth & Kimbell Art MuseumFort Worth, Texas

Brooke & Kyle are a sweet story of perfect timing.  Although they knew each other in college at Texas Christian University it took several years for things to align and for them to end up on their first date at a Dallas Stars Game.  Now they are engaged and getting married next Spring!  After a few years of dating Brooke knew a proposal was coming but Kyle completely tricked her and it came when she least expected it.  With a little lie about an article and interview he needed to complete for work at TCU he dragged Brooke to the campus so he wouldn’t have to be alone.  Little did she know that awaiting them was a photographer friend of mine and he dropped to one knee and said: “Brookie, I love you so much and you’re the only person I want to spend my life with. Will you be my frog fan forever?”  So incredibly sweet!

For their engagement session we spent time in the gardens of the Fort Worth Woman’s Club – they have beautiful grounds and architecture.  It’s a perfect spot for a sophisticated engagement session or bridal portrait.  Then Brooke & Kyle picked up their furry friend – Griz – and he joined us for photos (and a swim) at the Kimbell Art Musem before  a few last shots at the famous FW Stockyards sign. Can’t wait for this wedding next year!

Darby & Justin – Fort Worth Engagement SessionBotanic Gardens & Trinity Trails

So excited that I got to photograph Darby & Justin’s engagement session!  I was part of their proposal story back in January and I am pumped to be photographing their wedding at Justin’s family ranch next May!  These two have been dating almost 4 years, they met in College Station while attending A&M.  Now these two are moving to Houston and putting down roots there while planning a wedding.  These two love to spend time outdoors, with their pup of course, and going on trips together.  Can not wait for their wedding next year!

Alyssa & Ken – Engagement Portraits in DallasWinspear & Deep Ellum

Meet Ken & Alyssa!  These two connected online, met for coffee and have been inseparable for 4 years.  After spending a few hours with them last week I can vouch that they are perfectly suited for each other.  Both having interests in gaming and the intellectual side of things I am sure they have deep conversation and lots of laughs.  These two were engaged in Cabo San Lucas on Christmas Eve 2 years ago, he had the ring in his pocket, she joked about it being the perfect place to pop the question, and he asked!  I love that they are so in tune!  I can’t wait for their fall wedding at Arlington Hall – they are going to have a fun laid back cocktail style reception with so many diverse activities and pieces of unique entertainment.  I am counting down!

Thanks Alyssa & Ken for hanging out with me last week – I had the best time!

Aly & Travis – Engagement Portraits at Chandor GardensWeatherford, Texas

I am SO excited about Aly & Travis’ Fall wedding at Classic Oaks Ranch!  These two are so fun together and I loved photographing their engagement session at Chandor Gardens.  Travis picked the location for it’s lush gardens and this beautiful colonnade area.  He liked how southern it felt and it fits this charm filled couple to a tee!  These two met through a dating ap and have been together 3 years now.  Travis planned a perfect proposal and totally took Aly by surprise:

“I was told that a group of us were going to Colorado for 2 days, but we were actually going to Napa. Everyone else knew about the proposal but me. We are at our third winery of the day, Amizetta, and it is gorgeous, way up in the mountains and you can see the ocean from there and all this land and rolling hills. We are in the middle of our wine tour and the guide says if we want to walk around and try some grapes from the vine that we can. Travis drags me down the hill and I keep asking “why are you going so far, why can’t we try these grapes” he takes my wine glass out of my hand and starts talking and next thing I know he is on his knee proposing to me. I couldn’t even speak, I was just nodding my head and crying and laughing. He couldn’t get the ring out of his pocket because his pants were too tight so we hear our friends from the top of the hill “did she say yes?!?!” It was amazing.” – Aly

Their wedding day is going to be even more amazing with a fabulous vendor team featuring some of my faves – Tami Winn Events, in10city & Magdalena’s!  Can’t wait for October!

Summer & Landon – Engagement Session at Botanic GardensFort Worth, Texas

Summer &  Landon met while working at the same school and they instantly hit it off.  I love how these two just melt into each other and the way that Landon looks at Summer.  They bring the heat!!!  Summer wore a gorgeous red dress for their session and Landon looked so dapper in his suit.  We spent their session at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth and this tree was my PLACE!  Oh my, like I could shoot an entire session with these puffy little cloud flowers.  I can’t wait for their wedding this summer at The Modern Art Musem with the Tami Winn team.

Rachel & Micah – Engagement Session at Fort Worth ParksFW Water Gardens

Rachel & Micah are getting married later this summer and I can’t wait for their wedding at the Kimbell Art Museum.  These two met through a mutual friend who told them they had to meet each other – after a few months they finally met and a year later they are planning a wedding.  These two are super busy professionals so Micah has been taking lead on wedding planning while Rachel is working through a busy physician residency.  When not working these two love to hike, visit family and spend time together.  See you guys in a few months!

Jacy & Bobby – Engagement Session at Fort Worth ParksBoaz & Tandy Hills

Jacy and Bobby have been together since high school.  These two met freshman year and were instantly best friends, attached at the hip – but Jacy knew she liked Bobby more than just friends.  Bobby, like most high school boys was oblivious at first but eventually they had their first kiss and have been together ever since!  Now it’s time to get married!  These two love to take photos and have many times over the years.  In fact Bobby used a photo session as cover for his proposal, here is their will you marry me story:

“His family had just taken a group picture (which was an excuse to have his whole family there) and they were helping us take ours. One person was shading the camera, one was holding the camera bag, and the rest were just watching. In one of the photos, he knelt down and had the ring. It was perfect!! Both of our families were there and I loved it.”

I can’t wait to celebrate with these two at BRIK this summer!

Kathryn & John – Proposal Story at Marty Leonard ChapelFort Worth, Texas

Net year I will get to hang out in this very spot with Kathryn & John as they say I do!  John and Kathryn’s Mom had to pull allot of strings and tell many fibs to get Kathryn to the chapel for a “tour.”  They live outside of the Texas area and they have been planning and discussing getting  married for awhile – little did she know that while she thought she was coming to look at a possible ceremony location that her Mom & John had already made plans.  John wanted to propose where they would be married – so Kathryn said yes when he asked and next year they will both say I DO!  Once she said yes their families and a few close friends came out of hiding to celebrate with them and we took some engagement photos outside the chapel!  These two and their families are so sweet and such amazing people to be around – I know their wedding is going to be AWESOME!
