Chicago was an amazing city to explore with Ashlea and Mark. Ashlea is a Texas girl at heart but life and schooling took her North to Chicago where she met Mark! Now these two have made a home for themselves outside the city they love and they invited me to experience a day with them! These two love being home – doing some yoga, working out in their home gym and enjoying some snuggling and cooking side by side. Even though they may live in one of the coolest cities in the US their home is their sanctuary so we had to kick of the photo shoot there. Ashlea and Mark showed off some Yoga poses and moves before playing in their yard and just getting cozy on the sofa. As we headed into the city we stopped off at United Center – the home of the Chicago Bulls for some sports inspired photos. Mark loves sports but most of all he loves Ashlea – he proposed to her over the holidays with an engagement ring tied to a new pair of kicks she had been eyeing. She was so excited about the shoes she almost missed the ring! After some playful photos it was time to get glam at the Chicago Theater. Ashlea has a background in dance and is a dance therapist so she is amazing at knowing her body and I loved that she threw some dance inspired poses into our session. From the alley’s of Chicago to the beach at sunset we laughed the entire day. These two know how to live, love and laugh together well! At sunset we caught the lights of the city behind them and the beauty of Lake Michigan. I loved Chicago and getting to know this fabulous couple and can’t wait for their 2018 wedding here in Texas!
