An online dating app brought these two together in 2015 and the timing could not have been more perfect for them. Through their relationship they have travelled the world, overcome life and job changes and stood firm in their faith against illness. The love they have for each other is truly beautiful and their firm foundation in Christ in undeniable. To celebrate their love for the Lord and that Ashley has overcome illness during the ceremony Jim played a worship song – Blessings. This song was their rock, her anthem fighting through treatment over the last year but it was also a declaration of God’s love. It was so beautiful and sweet and I sang along with joy for the truth that is God’s work in Ashley and Jim’s life.
I love what Ashley says about Jim:
“I don’t know that I’ve ever met anyone with a heart as big as Jim, who would 110% rather give than receive. Fortunately for me, I ‘ve managed to be on the receiving end of his generosity and I know that a huge part of Jim said,” I DO,” 20 months ago. For that……Gratitude.”
Jim is a good man and he love’s Ashley for her heart:
“I learned long ago that you can tell a lot about a person by looking at how loyal they are to their friends and how loyal their friends are to them. Ashley has so many loyal and caring people in her life, and after being with her for two years now, I know why. Her caring spirit, her dedication to serving others, and her willingness to always be there for those closest to her are traits that I have come to love and cherish. I will always look up to Ashley for how she treats others and she truly does show her strong Christian faith through her love for others.”
Thank you to all the vendor’s who made this celebration such a special one!
