Katie and Nicholas were married at Good Shepherd Catholic Church and we were so excited to be able to spend the day with them and their precious families.  Kicking off the day with preparations at the church I was thrilled that Nick had chosen to wear his dress uniform.  He is a Marine and I love how regal and elegant the uniform is.  Katie was decked out in a gown from Bliss Bridal that fit her impeccably and had elegant crystal detailing.  Their full mass ceremony was filled with beautiful words and devotion.  The couple stole glances at one another through out the ceremony, smiling and laughing at the Priests remarks.  Before heading to the Fort Worth Omni Hotel to celebrate we took some time out for bridal portraits as well as a few of Nick (can’t leave out he boys!).  Check back tomorrow for more of their elegant red and white winter reception planned and put together by the always fabulous Tami Winn Events!

City Club hosted an amazing wine paired soireefor some of the best wedding planners in the DFW area. We had a fabulous time meeting some new faces as well as enjoy time with planners we work with frequently. City Club is one of our favorite places in Fort Worth and it looked amazing with flower arrangements by LeFleur Couture, Bridal Blooms, and Arrangements by Mary Parks. Furniture was provided by May I Serve U and lighting by It’s Your Night Entertainment with music provided by Randal Stout Entertainment and iEntertainment. The dinner was amazing as Chef Gilbert never disappoints. Dinner was followed with yummy treats from the always delicious Creme de la Creme. The dining, drinking and mingling was captured on film by Turquoise Video.

Kirsten and Ryan had one amazing party.  In fact it was so good that I am changing it up and posting it before their ceremony and preparations.  Kirsten told me from the first time we met it would be a PARTY and she was right.  All night long the floor stayed packed with people and I had so much fun dancing along with them as I photographed that a my feet hurt.  Her day was made complete by a perfect list of vendors that honestly I am lucky to work with on any given wedding day.  Each and every one of these come with my endorsement.

Glenn Roush went the extra step for this couple and helped them get connected to a vintage truck owner.  It was a surprise for Ryan and it was SO cool.  And let me not forget that the above photo is this couple to a T!

Did I mention Kirsten wanted to PARTY?  I think so and yes, she had a special request for some jumping on the bed photos to end her perfect wedding day.

It was truly a blast being a part of their day and I hope I get to party with them again in a few years for one killer anniversary shin dig.

After Mallory & Ryan’s wedding at Robert Carr Chapel on the campus of TCU we took advantage of the beautiful light outside for portraits then headed on to their reception at Stonegate Mansion. Randall Stout provided our entertainment for the evening and as he introduced the bridal party they danced out to special introductions and Mallory and Ryan bumped booty’s and were silly as they took the floor for their first dance. They danced cheek to cheek and he twirled her and I loved the movement in her gown. As they cut the cake Mallory had a little too much fun and smashed just a bit of it on Ryan’s face. He was a good sport and gave her a icing covered kiss. During toasts Ken, Mallory’s Dad, shed a few tears. I love this man and he is truly a great Father. The couple had unique parent dances as Mallory and Ken broke into a little old school hip hop number and Ryan and his Mom did a sweet choreographed routine. The danced, mingled and enjoyed their guests before a stalled take off in a classic Rolls Royce. I love that their wedding like so many had bumps but it is all the things, planned and unplanned, that make up the memories of our weddings. Mallory and Ryan have the best hearts and I know their future holds many wonderful things.

Mallory pulled together a pefectly planned country chic reception and wedding day with the help of a fabulous team of vendors and her dear Dad. Ken spent lots of time chopping wood at their ranch and doing creative things like wood burning their table numbers, initials and date onto tree stumps. Most amazingly he made a ring box for the couple. Tami Winn of Le Fleur Couture brought the flower vision together. We were joined by Turquoise Video Productions for wedding cinema and food by The Reata. To see more of their gorgeous day see the slide show below!

LOVE does not begin to describe how I feel abut the photo – Andy Warhol, Marilyn Monroe, available gallery light and one very in love couple is my idea of perfect.

This wedding was SO amazing.  It had everything a wedding needs to make me a very happy photographer.  The best couple that is head over heels in love with each other.  My favorite team of vendors, coolest venues in Fort Worth and the undeniable prescience of God.  Through out their day I had goose bumps, teary eyes and a smile plastered to my face.  I could not be happier for Summer and Paul and I hope to be a part of their journey together in the years to come as they are extraordinary people.  I think if you take a moment to look at their images you will see why.

Summer cried as she read Paul’s note to her before the ceremony and she gasped when she opened the pearl necklace he gave her.  So sweet.

First Dance

The above shot is the one thing that this couple KNEW they wanted before ever even looking for a photographer.  I think we nailed it and I can’t wait to see it hanging in their home!

As an artist I just adore being able to photograph people in front of Iconic work by Rothco or Warhol….It is just beyond special.

One of my favorites!  love all the neutral tones.

This photo takes on a special meaning.  Not knowing about her Dad’s speech to come I took this image.  Later on as her Dad spoke he remembered a photo he has of a young Summer, hands on her face, posing in front of this very artwork.  Some things change but some things never do.

Neck nuzzling is the best.

Her Grandpa moved me to tears when he spoke.  What a God filled man with words of wisdom and Love for his little girl and her cowboy.
