Sarah and Samuel are getting married next July at Robert Carr Chapel at TCU with their reception at The Colonial Country Club.  These two met at college in Tyler then moved to TCU together to pursue their degree’s to prepare to be doctor’s.  I love that they are so perfectly matched and I can completely see them working together in a hospital or office taking care of patients together all of there days.  I admire couples that have the same passions in their professions and can work so well together.  Can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Lyndsay and Brandon were married a few weeks ago at Robert Carr Chapel on Texas Christian University’s campus with a reception to follow at the Historic T&P Station.  Today I am thrilled to share my favorites from their preparations and ceremony.  Above I stole these two away right after the ceremony and gave them a few moments alone and I just love this image.  The shadows, them sharing a few words, absolute LOVE.   These two were SO expressionistic so I had way too many special photos to choose from but I had to narrow it down (so tough!)  Read on for more about their day and check back tomorrow for part 2.

Only dislike about Robert Carr is their getting ready “classrooms” BUT I do love it in this instance because of the sweet heart drawn on the chalkboard behind my bride as she prepares to get married.

After the minister came into sign the marriage license pre-ceremony the guys clapped and laughed.

Best thing about having a third shooter – a photographer stationed with the bride and her Dad to get photos like this!

I adored this couple from the moment we met and Kimberly said that after meeting me no one else compared and she had to make it happen.  I am so glad she did and a big thanks to her Grandma for encouraging her to work with me because I just love this couple!  Kimberly and Mark are currently doing the long distance thing as she is in medical school in Houston and he is working up here but hopefully she will be up here for residency very soon.  I have a ton of couples that met through their time in school and this couple is no different, meeting at the TCU library.  When they told me that I knew it was the perfect place for some photos as well as around campus.  Kimberly brought along their two doggies as well dressed as a bride and groom!  Kim actually made the veil herself and the dogs were more obedient than my dog would ever be (thanks to our dog wrangling team! Amanda on my staff and Kim’s Mom, Grandma and little bro).  We finished up down town by the awesome flat iron building and a few spots by sun dance square that I love.

Can’t wait to see you guys again!

Often times couples ask me what makes for a great wedding and reception.  My answer varries as couples are looking for their parties to feel specific ways but Natalie knew exactly what she wanted and she knew how to get it.  A killer line up of vendors plus 400 guests made for an unforgettable night.   Entertainment has such an impact on the feeling of your reception and Professor D is one of my favorite bands that always brings the excitement from a wide range of songs to fun performances by the horn players.  Tami Winn provided the centerpieces and the bride’s bouquet.  Due to the large number of guests Natalie and Ryan reserved almost every square inch of City Club and Tami decked out the ballroom in magnificent pinks and the Oak Room in TCU purples.  Her towering pink and white bride’s cake and sweet horned frog clad grooms cake were by Creme de la Creme.

I am a bit obsessed with gowns and was SO happy to be photographing a Vera.

That was one great kiss, I totally wasn’t expecting such a dramatic moment but I loved it.

Their first dance was magical and I loved how her dress moved.

At the end of the Father Daughter Dance the band kicked it up a notch.

There were some eager ladies waiting for the bouquet toss.

And off on their Honeymoon!
