For my last photo shoot of 2010 I met up with Christina & Mason for their engagement session.  They are getting married in just a few short weeks in February with a candle lit ceremony at Marty Leonard Chapel and a reception at City Club Fort Worth.  I can’t wait, especially after spending time with these two!

Christina and Mason dated in high school and have had an on/off relationship ever since and thankfully now it is fully on and they are walking down the aisle.  It makes complete sense to me after just a few hours with these two.  They are completely goofy and silly with one another and extremely sweet.  I love how Christina plays with his hair and how they just giggle all the time (Mason giggles in a very masculine way though.)  It was a huge compliment that Christina selected me for her photography as she has a degree in photography (Her sister does too!) and is teaching elementary art and hopes to pursue photography professionally in the future.  It is always a trip when I get to use technical words during a shoot and know that a client gets what I am doing.

You two were the icing on the cake for 2010 and the most perfect session to start the new year on the blog!  See you both in February!

This session was Fun with a major capital F because I just adored each and every moment of it.  I have know the groom, TJ, for about a decade.  He started cutting my hair when I was in college (back then it was super short and very Audrey Hepburn) and I have always loved his off the wall personality.  I was so glad to hear he had found his perfect match in Brandi.  She matches him in quirkiness and has a love for movies (including Star Wars) so when they called about their wedding photography I was jumping up and down with joy.

Last week I finally got to hang out with them and we did tons of super neat stuff.   We started their session with an urban vibe and then celebrated their love of coffee at The Usual.  I know, that is not a coffee shop but a bar but it had the perfect vibe and atmosphere.  If you are ever on Magnolia Ave and in need of a cocktail I highly recommend it.  More from their session soon!

Last Monday I spent the morning with this fantastic couple.  Usually we do engagement sessions in the afternoon but Eugenia and Michael are planning their wedding under special circumstances and this was absolutely the ONLY time I could ever get them in to the studio.  These two are both officers in the military currently stationed at Fort Hood.  They have enlisted the help of wedding planner, Dayna Tooley, so that planning from afar would be easier for Eugenia.  They came in town last weekend for another whirlwind planning weekend and met with me on Saturday, booked on Sunday then we shot engagement photos on Monday.  They also nailed down their cake, DJ did a tasting at The Modern and a few other things.  Michael is moving on to his next assignment, far from Texas, so these two will only see each other a few more times between now and their April wedding.  I just adored them, their goofy sense of humors and how they love on one another.  Here are some of my favorites and I can’t wait for the Fort Worth Wedding at The Modern next year!

These two crack me up!  Symon is a complete clown and I can see why Sarah fell hard for him with his goofy grin, hilarious antics and genuinely sweet personality.  When I met them at my studio a few weeks ago Symon was sick and I was warned I wasn’t getting to see the complete Symon and then he was sick again for our scheduled engagement date so we re-scheduled and I am so glad we did.  Taking pictures sick is no fun and I wanted to get to know the full and completely well Symon.  We had a ton of fun visiting a few of my favorite spots in Fort Worth as well as some of theirs.  Sarah & Symon had their first date and Nonna Tata in the Fort Worth South Side off Magnolia so we headed there to get a few photos out front where they shared a meal that first night.  Later in their relationship Symon brought her back, rented out the entire restaurant (Ok, it has like 5 tables inside but that is still impressive!) and proposed!  We love taking photos in places with meaning so it was just perfect.  Here are some of my favorite photos from their Fort Worth South Side engagement shoot and I can’t wait for the wedding in October!
