I have been sitting on these photos for weeks and it has been tearing me apart!  Meghan and Cody were married this past Saturday and we had been keeping this second engagement session in Gainesville a secret.  They were married at Bass Hall and Tami Winn and the bride came up with a unique idea for the entrance.  Red carpet treatment with a step and repeat and of course now playing posters.  For those posters we needed a spectacular image so we headed to the airport where Cody’s plane and a stunning red dress made for a dramatic image.  We also stopped by his families ranch land for some images with hay bales and open fields.  I love the images SO much and I just adore this couple.  It was a true privilege to photograph their wedding and I can’t wait to share photos from it in the upcoming weeks.

Jennifer and Chad met up with me on an early morning for their engagement session.  Chad is currently living and working in Seattle while Jennifer is living in Texas and preparing for their wedding and her move out West to join him.  I think it was a wise choice to move our session to morning as Chad is used to high temp’s in the 70′s and well, I think we started out the day at 80.  They were great with lots of laughs and it was good to get to know Chad.  I think we accomplished some amazing Fort Worth, Texas memories for them to look back upon as they make a new home in Seattle.  Looking forward to seeing Jennifer again soon for her bridal portraits and then their wedding at Arborlawn Church and reception at The Modern.

Ashlyn and Ben were super cute and the perfect end to a great week before I headed out for vacation.  Making their session even more adorable we were joined by their 2 children, Ashlyn’s dog and Ben’s puppy.  Ben made it very clear that Buddy was his dog and I must say that he may have been the best behaved 6 week old I have ever photographed.  Ashlyn’s Mom joined us as puppy wrangler then headed off to water and feed them so that the three of us could explore.  We love the doggie helping Mom’s, without them it would be next to impossible to have our best friends in photos.  Ashlyn and Ben made me laugh allot and I am so glad I finally got to meet them as they have been living out of state before recently moving down to Austin.  Ben cracked me up with some of his posing and silly faces BUT I swooned over their sweetness and Ashlyn’s killer eyes.  She has the kind we all wish for with the dark rings around the edges, they are two toned and AH-Mazing.  I will see you two again soon in September for your wedding at First United Methodist and Fort Worth Club!

Last weekend I traveled to Tucson for the wedding of Sarah and Brian.  It was SO beautiful and I completely enjoyed my backdrop of Mountains.  BUT since they are finally married I can share some of her stunning bridal portraits taken here in Texas when she visited me a few months ago.  We photographed at the Mckinney Cotton Mill as well as some fields and it was the perfect setting for my very artsy friend.

This photo was the image she chose to display as a canvas at the wedding and her groom cried when he saw it and hugged me until it hurt. It made me so happy.  It is everything I know Sarah is and it is just a perfect photo of her.

This photo is sweet and I like it.

Repetition of line and patterns = one happy geeky artist plus a beautiful bride makes for insane joy.

I don’t want to know what trick Amanda was performing behind me to get this laugh but I love it.

Ashley and Chance are getting married next month on cinco de Mayo at Aristide in Mansfield. I can’t wait for their wedding as they are one cool couple who is super in love and perfectly matched. They are also having an amazing team of vendors including their planner Lucia. A few months ago Chance was transferred to Oklahoma for his job so these two have been stealing weekends together and trying to plan a wedding while living apart. I was glad we could find a Friday evening that worked perfectly and the weather cooperated! Praying that we get another serving of that luck for their wedding day!
