Lindsay and Adam are getting married the coming November and last week we finally had a chance to hang out for their engagement session.  I hadn’t met Adam and he was a hoot to get to know.  Within in seconds of starting the session Lindsay asked for him to tell her a story, he said he didn’t have one BUT the rest of the session he had stories that made her laugh and that made me happy.  This man knows how to make his soon to be wife smile, and squish into him and generally glowing.  These two are definitely in love and I am so glad they both had the guts to go out on that blind date.  It was most definitely fate.

Emily and Riley are having a VERY busy month.  From graduating, moving to getting married on the 3rd of next month.  These two love birds met at an ice cream social for their sorority and fraternity’s when they were starting the college life at TCU.  As the years have gone by they have grown together and up as they are preparing to move on to the next phase of their life.  Their engagement shoot was our first meeting and I had a blast with them.  They are that perfect goofy sweetness that I so adore.  Riley makes me laugh the way he places his hands upon her face when he kisser her forehead.  It’s so silly its romantic.  They are having a very vintage fun wedding at the McKinney Cotton Mill and I can’t wait!

When I met Elisabeth and her Mom a few weeks ago it was an immediate match.  Her Mom was so sweet and well, Elisabeth is absolutely stunning.  Those eyes, the hair…..so in love with her looks and she is just the nicest girl to boot!  Will and Elisabeth are currently doing the long distance thing while they are engaged so he made a trip of from west Texas to meet me and to capture some engagement portraits.  I don’t think Will knew he would be SO good at having his photo taken.  Elisabeth has a model past so she is a pro and with her influence and his natural love for this beauty he was nothing but perfection in front of my camera.  I am SO SO SO thrilled to be photographing their December wedding coordinated by the ever so Extraordinary Julie Eastman.

Ashley and Chance are getting married next month on cinco de Mayo at Aristide in Mansfield. I can’t wait for their wedding as they are one cool couple who is super in love and perfectly matched. They are also having an amazing team of vendors including their planner Lucia. A few months ago Chance was transferred to Oklahoma for his job so these two have been stealing weekends together and trying to plan a wedding while living apart. I was glad we could find a Friday evening that worked perfectly and the weather cooperated! Praying that we get another serving of that luck for their wedding day!

Every year weather, illness and circumstance foils one clients plans for their engagement session multiple times. I am not sure why this happens and how one couple can have such odd luck but Ashley and Travis were this couple. After months of failed attempts we FINALLY got together earlier this week for their photos! They will be getting married near Austin next month and sadly I won’t be photographing their wedding day BUT I had so much fun getting to know them and making special photos for them.

Travis was super sweet and I loved how he tip-toed through the bluebonnets so as not to squash them. It is rare you see a man take such care of wild flowers. Oh and let me tell you, these bluebonnets were elusive. We spent a good half hour searching for them but when we found them I felt very triumphant! I love learning things from my clients and Ashley taught me all about those yellow weed flowers you see all over the place….you know, where the bluebonnets used to be. Well those flowers are killing and taking over and they are aptly named bastard cabbage. She only knew the bastard part so we had to take some photos in a field of those little killers as well. We had TO much fun.
