Bethany & Rob live in Atlanta and are getting married here, in Fort Worth, in November.  They are super silly and just charming together, I am looking even more forward to the wedding now that we got to hang out.  When we first met they were not sold on doing an engagement session but once they realized my shoots are more about having fun and getting to know each other I swayed them.  Leading up to the session Bethany said they got excited because they knew that their photos were going to be different from many of their friends engagement photos.  We headed out and hits some of my favorite Fort Worth spots near the stockyards and the old farmers market.  They were the perfect mixture of goofy and affectionate and to me that is perfection.  Enjoy some of their cute moments and silly ones as well at their Fort Worth Engagement Session!

This week has been a busy one but it has been SO much fun to hang out with all my couples.  So often we shoot our engagement sessions in Fort Worth but Shane & Jennifer elected to do their shoot in Dallas.  It was cool because it gave me the chance to check out a few new locations like the Bishop Arts District and the Avanti Fountain.  We of course also hit some of my old but good spots in and around Deep Ellum.  Shane & Jennifer and getting married in September at The Piazza in the Village and I am so excited to be working with them.  Jennifer and her Mom totally impressed me at their consultation and man do these girls have it together.  They have done some wedding and party planning in the past so when it came time for Jennifer to tie the knot I think her and her Mom were full of an abundance of ideas.  I didn’t get to meet Shane until the engagement session but he is a super sweet guy and totally in love with his girl.  Here are some images from their fun Dallas Engagement Shoot!

serene perfection

Veronica & Robert were married last weekend and Sarah Rizy and I just had an amazing time with them.  They had a mid-afternoon wedding at St Andrews Episcopal followed by a sit down dinner at City Club Fort Worth were everyone had a great time.  I think by the end of the day we had all cried just a bit as it was such a touching day with beautiful and funny toasts, parent dances and just an amazing amount of love between these two families.  Veronica and Robert were high school sweethearts and have been together about 8 years so it was most definitely a day all had looked forward to for a long time.  Many of my couples have late afternoon and evening weddings but I always love early weddings as it allows for very different light through out the day.  Because of the timing we had plenty of time to snag some photos outside the church and off Lancaster by a historic building before heading to the reception.  We ended their day with a few photos as the sun was starting to set in a field in Fort Worth after the getaway.  Then Robert whisked Veronica off to a secret location for their first night as husband and wife before heading out on their honeymoon.  Here are some beautiful moments and romantics from their daytime wedding!

These two crack me up!  Symon is a complete clown and I can see why Sarah fell hard for him with his goofy grin, hilarious antics and genuinely sweet personality.  When I met them at my studio a few weeks ago Symon was sick and I was warned I wasn’t getting to see the complete Symon and then he was sick again for our scheduled engagement date so we re-scheduled and I am so glad we did.  Taking pictures sick is no fun and I wanted to get to know the full and completely well Symon.  We had a ton of fun visiting a few of my favorite spots in Fort Worth as well as some of theirs.  Sarah & Symon had their first date and Nonna Tata in the Fort Worth South Side off Magnolia so we headed there to get a few photos out front where they shared a meal that first night.  Later in their relationship Symon brought her back, rented out the entire restaurant (Ok, it has like 5 tables inside but that is still impressive!) and proposed!  We love taking photos in places with meaning so it was just perfect.  Here are some of my favorite photos from their Fort Worth South Side engagement shoot and I can’t wait for the wedding in October!

Kendall and Jason are getting married later this winter at Robert Carr Chapel and City Club of Fort Worth.  I was so excited to finally shoot their engagement session a few weeks ago as I got to know Jason and their fabulous cat, Cadbury.  Pets often take part in sessions but it was a whole new experience with this “model” cat.  Cadbury can be seen in Pier 1 ads on on several cat products.  He is an expert in front of the camera and he did much better than most animals.  Besides hanging out with Cadbury we visited the Kimball Art Museum, some of my favorite urban spots and TCU.  My favorite part of any session is when the groom makes any statement of enjoyment because most guys don’t LOVE time in front of the camera.  30 minutes in to the session Jason let me know that it wasn’t bad like he expected and it was easy just hanging out and loving on his girl.  Our shoots are not your boring old studio sessions and I am glad that Jason enjoyed it as I definitely did!  Here are some photos from their Fort Worth Engagement Session!
