Kristin & Michael – Engagement Photography at Chandor GardensWeatherford, Texas

This cute couple met in Denver through mutual friends.  Both Aggies they were far from home – chasing dreams, jobs and adventure when they were introduced to each other almost 2 years ago.  Now in just a few weeks they will be getting married at a beautiful new venue, Dove Ridge Vineyard.  Kristin & Michael are adorable together – lots of laughter and they just melt into each other.  Kristin says she moved to Colorado to seek adventure – the outdoors and more – I think she found the best life has to offer in  Michael.  I know their lives will be full of exploration and I can’t wait for the wedding!

Megan – Bridal Portraits at Chandor GardensWeatherford, Texas

Megan was a GORGEOUS bride and as her wedding just hit the newsstands in the newest Brides of North Texas Magazine I thought it was perfect timing to share her garden bridal session from last summer.  Megan is a sweetie and oh so fun to be around – her dress definitely showed off her personality with it sweet and sparkly detailing and volume filled skirt with attitude!  This  mixture of classic and modern clean lines complimented her wedding to Dylan at Robert Carr Chapel on the TCU campus with a reception at The Modern Art Museum.  The open back dress with sparkly straps was purchased at Nordstrom Wedding Suite.

You can see more of Megan and her purple wedding here.

Tracy Autem 2015

As I am finishing up this gorgeous ladies wedding right now I had to show off her beautiful spring bridals at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford.  The classic and timeless lines and greenery of the garden complimented her lace overlay gown with endless layers from De Ma Fille Bridal.  Her gown’s unique silhouette made me so happy!  Chelsea reminds me of Snow White with her stunning skin, rich dark hear and especially with that fun bright lip from Lip Service Makeup.  Bouquet by Tami Winn Events.

Brooke & Cody – Weatherford Engagement Session

Tracy Autem Photography 2014 http://tracyautem.comBrooke & Cody will be getting hitched this summer in Aledo with a reception at Ashton Depot.  I met up with them at Brooke’s family home in Weatherford for their engagement session. We totally lucked out as it was predicted to rain and we dodged them some how.  During our session we had some distant Thunder and ominous clouds rolling in but they didn’t really break open until right at the end.  I think as we said our goodbyes and jumped in the cars it started pouring about 2 minutes later.  That was some luck!  These two met through some mutual friends and got engaged last June.  I could seriously have photographed at their home all day, between the amazing stormy cloud filled sky and the landscape I was in photographer heaven!  We also headed down into Weatherford for some photos in the historic downtown area.

Abby & Jeff – Engagement Portraits at Chandor Garden and Fall Trees

Abby and Jeff are pretty dang amazing.  I love them.  I knew from the moment I met this adorable couple that being a part of their wedding was going to be spectacular.  After some missteps and rescheduling due to weather and other issues we finally got together last week at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford and one of my favorite fields near by.  The gardens there are beautiful and so overlooked by many people, they are intimate and usually empty.  Bentley, their pup, joined us for a few photos and was wrangled by Abby’s Mom (Thanks Momma!)  Then we headed out to one of my favorite spots just down the road from the gardens – this field of trees is fall perfection right now with all the changing colors in the leaves.  It was pretty perfect and was rounded out with this gorgeous vintage sofa rented from Gold Dust Vintage.  Thanks guys and I can’t wait to see you both in April for your wedding at Robert Carr & The Modern!

Jennifer & Perry – Engagement portraits in Weatherford and Chandor Gardens

Jennifer and Perry are getting hitched this coming fall at St Patricks Cathedral in downtown Fort Worth.  We completely hit it off when we met the first time so I was looking forward to hanging out with them at their Engagement.  When Perry walked up he greeted me with a big hug, yep, I like this guy.  I love groom’s that are excited about their wedding, their wife to be and photography!  I also adore that this couple went outside the box, they selected Chandor Gardens for their session.  A definite favorite of mine for bridal portraits but they are my first clients to ever choose it for engagements!  It is an awesome location for any type of photography.  We enjoyed the gardens before heading to a few other spots I like in Weatherford and then got their fur children involved (they have 3 precious doggies).  It was perfect and we finished up right as some storm clouds were rolling in!  Thanks guys for hanging out with me, see you soon!

Nikki {Model Bride} Chandor Gardens in Weatherford

Nikki was married earlier this year at Graystone Castle out in West Texas in a tiny town called Thurber Mingus.  For her wedding she wore a Bliss Bridal Gown with small floral appliques on the bodice.  I adored her birdcage veil and feather fascinator.  We photographed her bridal portraits at Chandor Gardens in Weatherford.  It is the perfect location if you want the feeling of an old English garden.

Mr. & Mrs. Tyler Merrill

So serene and peacefull, in love!

Katy and Tyler were sent to me earlier this year by way of her Matron of honor, Lacie.  Lacie and Matt were one of my fabulous couples last year and Katy was in their wedding.  It is so much fun to work with past clients and their friends!  Another couple of mine was also present at their wedding and it was so nice to see them all and how great their new lives are going.

These two are the type of couple where from the moment you see them together you know they have something special.  The way he looks at her, how she laughs when he does, it all equals perfection.  Their wedding day was filled with joyful tears from all (including myself) and fun filled moments.  From their wedding at her home church in Weatherford to the reception at the Fort Worth Stockyards it was a rocking day.  Great music, food and fun all night long!  Here are some of my favorite parts of their wedding day.

Love the light kissing her face is this shot at Tyler nuzzles her neck, Hot!

My favorite thing about Katy is her laugh and I saw plenty of it all day long.

The Kiss!

MerillWeddingBlog_0007

Triptic

My absolute favorite part of every wedding, the moment the bride and groom make it out the door and have a private moment alone. It is that first "We are married!" moment and they are finally away from all the eyes of thier guests. It is so special and usually couples are like magnets and can't help but kiss, laugh or just beam at one another.

Thier country reception at the Fort Worth Stockyards allowed for some awesome time alone for thier romantics. Great locations + super in love couple = happy photographer.

Katy & Tyler Engaged!

HORSES! That is what I have to say about this shoot, it was like being a little kid because I got to play with horses!

Katy and Tyler met on horse back and horses are Tyler’s life so we couldn’t think of a better thing to do for their engagement session. We met out in Weatherford and explored the old train depot and downtown before heading to Katy’s parents place where they jumped on horse back and played. I love how Tyler had to re-enact his first interaction with Katy but of course he added a kiss as he leaned on her saddle. The light was scrumptious and the horses behaved and I honestly could not have asked for more.

I looking forward to their wedding and country elegant wedding at the stockyards in September.
