Shelby and Whilden are getting married next spring here in Fort Worth and it is going to be such a beautiful reception at the Ashton Depot! These two met in college at Texas Tech 3 years ago and their life has now brought them to Midland where they are working and living. Leading up to the wedding here in Fort Worth where Shelby is from they are putting down roots in Midland – looking for a home and enjoying life with their 2 pups. For their engagement session their doggies joined us for some photos at Trinity Park (thanks to Mom who dog wrangled!) They were super cute and so sweet. After some dog pics we headed to the Botanic Gardens and strolled around the Fuller Garden. I loved Shelby’s blue bright dress, she has the most gorgeous smile. Can’t wait for this wedding!
When Aurie reached out to me a few weeks ago about a 1 year anniversary photo shoot I had no idea all the fun I was getting into. You guys – she surprised him with this photo shoot! It was like a first look on a wedding day but 1 year later! Aurie left Joe clues on what to wear, where to go and when to be there and then we prompted him to come outside where he saw his beautiful wife of one year in her wedding gown! Why? Well, one a wedding dress is so pretty that really all girls need to get some bonus wear’s out of it! Two: sometimes wedding days aren’t as smooth as planned and it can mean that less photos are captured than really wanted. That was the case for Aurie and Joe – their wedding was out of state and she decided to fix her one wedding day regret with a photo session. I feel so lucky she asked me to be a part!
Joe and Aurie are so adorably sweet together. After some romantic wedding day style portraits we headed for a picnic complete with their top tier wedding cakes – thawed out and ready to eat! It was super special.
Happy Anniversary and here is to many years of surprises, fun and laughter! You two cracked me up and just gave me all the good feels.
Sarah & David are getting married this summer and I am so excited to be photographing their wedding at Robert Carr Chapel & City Club of Fort Worth. These two worked for the same BIG company in Fort Worth but with multiple campus’ they never had a reason to be in the same place. But due to a company discount at a gym these two did find each other working out and Sarah caught David’s eye and he made a decision to catch hers. Now they live in Austin but they are coming home to where their story began in Fort Worth to say I do. For their engagement session we visited Trinity park, the Fort Worth Water Gardens and a few downtown spots. David had me laughing the entire time and Sarah is just breathtaking.

Kelly & Gerry will be getting married next March at University Christian and TCU Champion’s club. I can’t wait for this wedding! Kelly is one of a fabulous group of young ladies that I have been so lucky to follow on their wedding journeys. It is one of my favorite things to work with a group of friends! Kelly and Gerry met at TCU while studying to become teachers. Gerry was pursuing Spanish and Kelly Math. These teacher pair is well matched and I laughed a ton with them at their session. Gerry wanted to do some “FUN” poses so I gave him a few minutes to play and from picking her up, twirling her around and giving her a piggy back ride and I loved the result. It is the best feeling when at the end of a session I can totally see great things for my couples future. Gerry is easy going, silly and has a very fun personality while Kelly compliments him with her planning and is a little quieter – this means they are so well balanced that they will have lots of fun, laughter and adventures in their future because Kelly will plan things to happy and Gerry will throw in a dose of spontaneity. See you two in the spring!
Kate and Josh with their “squiggly” tree above is a fave of mine form their day. Driving into Trinity park for some photos of the couple alone Josh was excited about some of the trees so of course we found him a perfectly squiggly tree for a few photos. I love the way Josh’s classic white shirt, bow tie and suspenders compliments Kate’s lace gown. So classic yet relaxed for these more informal portraits. After a few more stops including a urban park downtown and the historic post office it was time for this reception. Glenn Roush had the floor full and the sun was still out! It stayed packed all night as this couple and their family and friends celebrated. We had some traditional dances, some guests who played with LED uprights and some late night snacks. It was so much fun!
Thanks again to their vendor team:

Krista was married in November so I think it is about time I get to sharing her bridal portraits! Her wedding was at the T&P Station in Fort Worth so the classic vintage look of the YWCA was the perfect compliment. They have fabulous big windows that provide some pretty sweet light for portraits. To add in a little natural flair we also visited Trinity Park.
Kathryn and Douglas are super sexy and amazing. This couple has chemistry to spare, I could photograph them all day long! They are so sweet upon each other and they just light up when they are in each others arms. Little pup Ella joined us for a few photos with them at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. The light was golden and perfect for their woodsy park photos. Kathryn & Douglas love the natural vibe so for their second outfit we kept a little bit of a park feel in by hitting up the Water Gardens. Definitely a little used location it was perfect with Kathryn’s elegant and classic black dress with lace accents and Douglas’ cool suspenders. Thanks so much guys for selecting me for your wedding, we are going to rock it out for your Thursday wedding at the Piazza in the Village this spring!
Christal and Scott have been together for 9 years, since middle school when Scott got up the nerve to ask her out and they have been together ever since. When their wedding comes around they will be just shy of a decade together! It is so fun to see a couple that fell in love so young so strong in their relationship and finally getting married. Christal choose 2 of my favorite Fort Worth photo locations, Van Zandt Cottage & Trinity Park. They are simple, classic and so perfect with marvelous light at almost any time of day. Their pup joined us for a few family photos and we managed to keep her from chasing all the squirrels. They are so much fun to be around too and I can’t wait for Scott and all his friends shenanigans on the wedding day. We are going to have a blast at this one! They are getting help planning their wedding at The Fort Worth Club from Abbie Oswalt so I know it will be marvelously pulled together. March will be here before we know it!
Oh, HOTNESS is about the only way to describe this couple. I just fell in love with them from the moment they started interacting during this session. Taylor & Keaton selected some fun urban walls and a more city cool style for their locations and I LOVE it! It was great to get to check out some of my favorite local spots just down the street from my studio. After some steamy romantics and some general silliness (these girl cracks me up!) we met up with Keaton’s kiddos at Trinity Park for a mini family shoot. When a couple is getting married with kids it is so important to include them in all the festivities, even engagement photos. Can’t wait for the wedding next year at The Piazza! It is going to rock!
Ahhhhhh, Ok, SO I am in LOVE with the above picture. Cristina is all about the big city, loves New York and Eric is all about down home and relaxed. I feel this photo so fuses those two looks and I adore it. The rest of their Fort Worth engagement session was pretty spectacular too as we ran around town to some of their favorite hang outs and Trinity Park. To put a bit of a bonus spin on their shoot we also took photos in front of Cooks Children’s Hospital (where Cristina works as a RN) with Eric’s patrol car. It was a fun nod at who they are in their professional lives and how they mesh as a couple. Loved their out of the box idea! Can’t wait for their wedding next April!
