When a couple walks out of their ceremony just smiling and looking at each other it is the best thing ever! I love how much Kristin and Michael are into each other! During this ceremony there were so many smiles, stollen glances and sweet moments. Dove Ridge is situated on top of a hill with amazing views and this outdoor covered space is the perfect place to have your ceremony out of the bright summer sun!
Allison & Allen were married at the Marty Leonard Community Chapel in Fort Worth. I loved their modern traditional wedding! Although they had bridesmaids and groomsmen they elected to stand unattended at the altar which really brought the focus onto the two of them and the commitment they were making. Their close friend – and bridesmaid – married them, making the ceremony very unique and tailored to the two of them. My favorite part of the ceremony was during the special music – as Allison’s parents sang a duet her eyes welled up with tears and Allen gently wiped away her tears. It was so beautiful and a perfect representation of his caring heart for his bride.
Thanks to the amazing vendors who made their ceremony so perfect!
Chelsea & Spencer hosted their reception at The Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth. We always love working there as the galleries are a super special treat to be able to photograph in. The couple walked the catwalk and down the grand stairs to the great hall at the Modern to kick off their reception with their first dance. The museum looked perfect with the soft pinks, whites and golds and I just loved the unique head table installation. After dinner and parent dances the band’s horn section led back into the cafe for a night of dancing and fun. Chelsea and Spencer spent much of the evening chatting up their guest, giving lots of hugs and never to far from each others sides. Congratulations you two! It was an amazing night and I am so happy we were able to be with you!
This was one beautiful wedding made possible by the following team of vendors:
Spencer wins the prize for best reaction ever to seeing his beautiful bride. I loved it so much I had to make a special collage so you can really see the sequence of events. As Chelsea entered Arborlawn Methodist on her Dad’s arms Spencer went from beaming, to his knees in surprise, hands over his face to standing with tears and a smile as he took her hands. BEST EVER. 🙂 Well on top of this emotion filled moment this couple had a spectacular day. From getting ready until the last song played we enjoyed being with this sweet couple and their families.
We kicked off the day at Chelsea’s parents house for some primping and preparing. After dressing Chelsea did a reveal of her gown with her maids as well as a special first look with her Dad. Loved seeing his proud and happy face when he saw his oldest daughter in her laced overlay gown. The boys hung out at the couples new home and played around – drinking, flying a remote control helicopter and generally struggling with some bow ties! Good thing Spencer is a bow tie pro as he helped all his guys with their suiting.
During the ceremony Spencer shed even more tears as Chelsea just radiated happiness. It was pretty perfect! Walking out of the church as husband and wife Spencer immediately grabbed Chelsea in a bear sized hug and then they chatted, caught up on the day and finally got a chance to talk. More photos of their reception at The Modern Art Museum coming tomorrow!
Chelsea and her Mom pulled together a pretty phenomenal team of vendors including:
Rusty and Haley were married over the weekend with a stunning wedding at Robert Carr Chapel. We joined up with Haley and her ladies at Halo Salon off Camp Bowie for some beautification before hand. Haley’s hair was stunning and was styled by Rachel, I just love her! At the chapel we slipped into gowns while the gentlemen fussed with their ties before walking down the aisle. After saying their vows and some romantic portraits outside of the church we headed over to The Ashton Depot. The Depot is one of my favorite Fort Worth venues for their superb service, yummy food and the amazing architecture. William Ryan kept the dance floor full and the party going as this couple mingled with their guests and hit the floor for some dancing. It was so much fun sharing their day with them and I can’t wait to see them again soon. Congrats you two!
Thanks to the following vendor team for making Haley and Rusty’s day so special
After their ceremony we had SO much time to play with portraits of Amanda and Cameron. You know that made me a happy photographer. When it was time to head in we all had laughs ahead of us as their friends brought it with funny stories and some crazy dancing (men did remove their shirts!) during the traditional toasts. Then we headed into craziness with dancing lead by Colby Logan of Astounding Sounds. Those Foreigners sure know how to party and the Texas crowd kept up with them. It was a magical day, enjoy a larger snapshot of their day with their slideshow:
I really like Amanda’s shoes and Cam’s colorful socks.
Love this photo by my second photographer, Sarah Rizy.
They are hot, yep, super hot.
Cam looks a little 007 to me here. So suave.
Ahhhh, pure sweetness.
All of their details were awesome from their outdoor seating area in front of Arlington Hall to their tall centerpieces with mercury glass vases.
That crazy dancing I mentioned above, here it is. I still have NO IDEA what this is or why it happened but it sure was funny.
Amanda and her Daddy (Loved that he got a little more comfortable but still looks elegant)
Cam dancing with his Mom.
And then the party began and everyone brought it….
The boys having a smoke outside of the venue. Men and cigars with smoke just work.
Before the end of the night I stole the couple away for a quick photo outside of Arlington Hall.
My MOST favorite image from this wedding. Why? It is simple and sweet and there is just a touch of a tear on her cheek. It says so much about how much they love one another and it is a perfect example of what I LOVE about my job.
I can not even begin to say how AWESOME this wedding was. No words can describe the fun we had, yep, it was that rockin! We started off the day with preparations at The Omni Hotel Dallas before heading to Arlington Hall at Lee Park for their wedding and reception. When I arrived the girls were dancing and having fun and really setting the pace for what was to be a super charged day. I loved their ceremony. Cam is a big tough guy who has a soft spot as big as Texas in his heart for his lovely bride. He just changes in her presence, and his smile fills his face. It made me cry behind my camera and you know those are my favorite weddings. This photo above just sets the stage for what I know will be a great life together. Read on for more about their preparations and ceremony and check back tomorrow for their dance filled reception, funny moments brought to us be the New Zealander’s and of course their highlights slide show.
There day would not have been such a hit without the following team of vendors:
